💴 Don't ever let any stranger get into your room... Here's the lesson 💎

📕Story Background

A wealthy man staying in a prestigious hotel reported that his prized ruby collection had been stolen from his room. On the day of the theft, three strangers entered the room under different pretenses.

The first person was the valet, who delivered breakfast to the wrong room.

The second person was a tenant who claimed he thought it was his own room.

The third person was the maid, who came in to make the bed.

What is certain is that all three individuals knocked on the door before entering and only entered after the wealthy man had opened the door. Can you identify the thief?

🔍Known Clues

  • Neither the valet nor the maid pushed a trolley or anything of this kind into the room; the trolley was left outside the door.
  • The tenant was not new to the hotel; he had been staying there for several days.

----- Previous answer (The Chemist's Final Formula) -------

The note left behind is a clue that can be deciphered using the periodic table of elements. The numbers correspond to the atomic numbers of elements on the periodic table. The sequence '26-3-58'translates to: 26-3-58 as Iron-Lituium-Cerium (Fe-Li-Ce). So the killer is Felice. The first part of the note spells out Felice's name using the symbols of the elements.
