[PLAYER GUIDE] Recruitment Pass (Update October 2025)

This guide reflects the author’s personal experience and the game’s content as it exists at the time of writing. Future updates may alter features or introduce new content.

The Recruitment Pass is a monthly event that always starts on the first day of the month and ends on the 28th. It involves earning certain rewards based on your daily in-game activity (plus additional rewards that can be obtained using Black Diamonds).

If you’re looking for the most affordable way to grow a commander, the Recruitment Pass is the ideal choice. It has been, and still remains, the most cost-effective method to develop a commander, obtain new Castle Exteriors, and acquire many other useful items for your account.

It is divided into three categories:

• Free Section
• Hero Decree
• Legendary Hero Decree

Free Section

It contains a total of 90 levels, which can be unlocked in two ways:

Daily activity: your daily activity will grant you Recruitment Pass Reputation, which helps you unlock new levels.

• Challenge Quests: a list of 13 quests (11 free and 2 that can be unlocked using Black Diamonds) that you can complete at any time during the event period to earn and unlock new rewards.

The rewards obtained after unlocking all 90 levels are of two types:

• Items that go directly into your inventory: resources, speed-ups, blue diamonds, crystal essences, VIP points, etc.
• Pass Coins: coins granted upon unlocking certain levels, which can be used in the Recruitment Pass Shop.

After unlocking all 90 levels, even if you continue to earn Recruitment Pass Reputation, you will no longer receive additional rewards.

Hero Decree

This section contains a total of 100 levels, but unlike the free tier, even after unlocking level 100, you will continue to receive additional rewards for each new level you unlock (these post–level 100 rewards consist only of Pass Coins). To unlock this section, you’ll need to use Black Diamonds, with the cost set at 100 Black Diamonds.

Just like in the free section, unlocking levels here is done through daily activity and completing missions. The rewards are significantly better compared to the previous section and come with an additional bonus - the Exterior Redemption Order.

These items are granted upon reaching level 90 - you’ll receive a total of 1,500 of them. They can be used in the Exterior Shop to purchase Castle Skins.

In this shop, there are also two additional categories:

• Castle Skins from Events

These Castle Skins can be obtained by collecting 100 required fragments, which are earned from various events (Siege of Winterfell, Alliance Conquest, Ultimate Conquest, Glorious Battle, and All-out War).

• Castle Truce Skin

These Castle Truce Skins can be purchased using Truce Skin Exchange Vouchers, which are obtained from the Alliance Conquest / Siege of Winterfell shop and from certain events where they are offered as rewards (e.g., Angler’s Feast).

Legendary Hero Decree

Like the previous section, this one contains a top 100 levels, and even after surpassing level 100, you will continue to receive additional rewards. To unlock this section, you need to use Black Diamonds, with a cost of 200 Black Diamonds. Upon purchasing this section, the remaining two quests will also be unlocked.

If you’re wondering why the Recruitment Pass is the most cost-effective way to level up a commander, here’s the answer: by unlocking this section, you’ll gain access to a list of commanders from which you can choose:

• Sinara - 60 medals
• Kevin - 60 medals
• Jamie - 60 medals
• Drake - 60 medals
• Enzo - 60 medals
• Latz Karin - 60 medals
• Julien - 60 medals
• Meranda - 60 medals
• Leila - 60 medals
• Theon - 60 medals
• Raymond - 60 medals
• Annie - 60 medals
• Laena - 60 medals
• Andrea - 60 medals
• Salma - 60 medals
• Rhea - 60 medals
• Patelo - 60 medals
• Margaery - 60 medals
• Daenerys - 20 medals

In addition to this list of 19 commanders, you also have the option to select Commander Tokens for these commanders to awaken them. The number of tokens for each commander (except Daenerys - currently no Commander Tokens are available for her in the Recruitment Pass) is 120 Commander Tokens.

Beyond the 60 (or 20) medals you initially chose, after surpassing level 100, you will receive a Light of the Gods - Commander Medal Chest for each additional level unlocked. In these chests, you have a chance to earn extra medals for the commander you selected.

Important things to note:

• If you chose Commander Tokens instead of Commander Medals, the post-level-100 chests will not contain Commander Tokens.
• If you initially chose medals for a specific commander, you can change your selection anytime during the event. For example, if you initially picked Salma and after level 40 you want medals for Sinara, you can switch to Sinara, and the following levels will provide medals for her.
• As mentioned above, if you choose Commander Tokens, post-level-100 chests won’t give tokens. However, you can switch from Commander Tokens to Commander Medals after reaching level 100; the medals you obtain can then be converted into tokens at a rate of 3 medals = 1 token.
• If you already own Daenerys Gold 4*, you can still select her and convert Commander Medals into Red Tokens to help awaken another SS commander.

Very important: If you’ve just entered the world of GoTWiC and are following this guide, but the game doesn’t show everything described here, don’t worry. All these levels update over time as you progress in the game. At the beginning, you’ll have fewer options, fewer commanders, or other limited content, but over time, your Recruitment Pass will look just like the one described here.
