🙅‍ Man stop chasing me, there's no way you know which road I went 🙅‍

📕Story Background

"Special emergency: Fugitive Lorek spotted at the Acacia Hotel in Forest Park. Two Interpol officers are en route to apprehend the suspect."

Criminal Police Chief Ricard received the urgent telegram and immediately set off with two officers.

Forest Park sprawled over 30 square kilometers, its terrain rugged and complex. By the time Ricard and his team arrived, it was late at night. They reached a crossroads deep within the park but encountered an unexpected problem, the original signposts had been removed. Instead, three wooden signs, seemingly placed by children playing games, stood in their place.

Shining their flashlights on the signs, the officers read the messages carved into the wood:

First road’s sign: “This road leads to the Acacia Hotel!”

Second road’s sign: “This road does not lead to the Acacia Hotel!”

Third road’s sign: “One of the other two signs tells the truth, while the other lies. I promise that what I just said is absolutely true. If you want to reach the Acacia Hotel, you must use your brain.”

One of the officers groaned. “Damn it! These kids are messing with us!”

But Chief Ricard simply smiled. "Actually, these three signs tell us exactly which road to take. I’ve already figured it out..."

Which road should the police take to reach the Acacia Hotel and capture fugitive Lorek?

Can you solve the puzzle?

(This story is absolutely fictional. Any inconsistencies with common sense work for the plot)

🔍Known Clues

  1. What is said on the wooden sign of the third road was proven TRUE.
  2. The signs on the first and second roads said exactly the opposite.

----- Previous answer (The Sunbeam Cipher) -------

The answer is, New Zealand

Tiny rays of light come through the slit holes in the window panels, and the bright spots on the floor move from left to right.

In the southern hemisphere, the sun runs from right to left, which is easy to understand when you think of a window facing north. In the southern hemisphere, the sunlight is not felt in the south-facing windows.

In the northern hemisphere, in Canada or Malaysia, it is the opposite, the sun runs from left to right, so the spot of light on the ground should move from right to left.
