This guide is based on author's personal experience in game and with the currently available commanders

Introduction

Currently in the game there are three different commander synergy options available for players to build for. The synergies are Weakness, Female and Normal attack. In this guide we will focus on Normal attack.

Basics

The build enabling commander for all normal attack setups is Sinara.

Sinaras 4 star ability allows your troops to perform additional normal attacks but also prevents you from using army active skills or weakness attacks. There is a 70% chance for your troops to perform 1 additional attack for 30% damage and 20% chance to deal 2nd additional attack for 20% damage. The downside is silenced and excited statuses preventing you from casting army active skills and weakness attacks. So with all Sinara setups you want to maximize the amount of normal attacks performed and gain advantage of supporting commanders that benefit from normal attacks. Also it is important to note that almost all Sinara commanders rely on allied frontline troops' normal attacks, so you want to make sure your frontline survives long in the battle!

Supporting commanders with beneficial 4 star awakening ability

In the following list I will explain all the supporting commanders for normal attack lineups and how they pair together with Sinara

Rhea is a great choice to pair with Sinara. Her ability works so that when your frontline troops have performed 20 normal attacks, the next attack will be a critical hit with 120% damage. Her ability also makes it so that whenever you deal a critical hit, you will also apply bleed. Rhea also silences herself, preventing her from using army active skills.

Kevin is another great choice for Sinara. When your frontline troops perform normal attack there is 15% chance (double chance with melee) to grant a shield for most damaged allied lineup. The shield reduces 10% damage taken from non-skill damage. Each shield lasts for 2 seconds and the reduction can stack up to 50%.

Jon Snow works extremely well with Sinara teams. At the start of the battle frontline troops receive 15% damage reduction for 15 seconds. Also allied infantry and non-frontline troops have 20% chance of dealing critical hit for 150% for 25 seconds from start of the battle. So basically Jon Snow provided additional protection for the frontline which is great for Sinara teams and grants a chance to deal critical hits to allow bleed from Rhea.

Sandor Clegane is yet another good pair for Sinara. After your frontline troops have dealt 40 normal attacks Sandor will launch an attack on enemy frontline troops for 550% damage while also inflicting bleed. Drawback of Sandors skill is silencing himself + one random allied commander, but this won't affect Sinara teams.

Daeron is the newest addition to normal attack teams. Whenever allied frontline troops have landed 50 normal attacks Daeron will launch an attack on all enemy lineups for 50% damage. If the enemies are bleeding they will receive additional attack for 150% damage. In Sinara teams Rhea and Sandor can cause bleeding so it is very likely the enemy is bleeding when Daeron performs his attack.

The following commanders can be used with Sinara teams, but they are not as beneficial as the commanders listed above!

Barret has good awakening ability, but his stats are not as good as the commanders mentioned earlier. His awakening ability makes it so that whenever allied frontline troops perform 8 normal attacks there is 50% chance to cause bleeding.

Julien is a decent pick for multiple troop type lineups. Whenever troops in the same line with Julien perform 1 attack, those troops' damage increases by 2% stacking up to a maximum of 16%.

Robb Stark. Whenever allied cavalry performs one attack it increases cavalry attack damage by 2%.

Merrel Peake. Every time allied cavalry launched 4 attacks, that lineup's health increases by 5%. There is also a 50% chance for your troops to deal critical hit for 120% damage.

Commanders you DON'T WANT to use with Sinara

Sinara´s four star ability causes your troops to be in silenced and excited status. Silenced status prevents your commanders from using their army active skills. Excited status prevents you from dealing weakness attacks.

Basically there are no commanders that would stop normal attack teams from working, but Sinara prevents many commanders from working. This is why you don't want to use Leila with Sinara, because her awakening skill becomes useless. Same thing applies to Jaime. Sinara prevents normal attacks which effectively makes Jaime useless.

NOTE: Healing commanders such as Latz/Enzo/Drake have their awakening ability tied to time and not usage. This means that those commanders can still heal your troops, so they are a viable option to be used in a normal attack lineup if you cannot use the commanders mentioned earlier in the guide!

Dragon skills

For normal attack synergy you want to get the Dragon flame skill. All the dragon skills can be obtained from the monthly Kingdom Celebration event!

Dragon Flame skill is based on troops' normal attack. Every time allied troops perform 10 additional attacks there is a 20% chance on level 1 for the dragon to launch an attack for 50% damage. The chance and the damage raises with skill level. On lvl 9 there is a 40% chance for the dragon to launch attack for 180% damage. On all levels this skill can trigger a maximum of 10 times.

Weapons

Currently in the game there are 2 weapons that directly benefit normal attack synergy. These weapons are for Sinara and Robb. The weapons' qualities increase with their star levels and can have a huge impact on the effectiveness of your commander's abilities.

Conclusions and commonly asked questions

The normal attack setup is the best option for players who are not far in the awakening. Once your Sinara is 4* you will instantly receive a boost in your combat performance from additional attacks alone. Every upgrade after that will make you stronger, but you can also start with 3 star awakening focusing on combat stats. The more you can boost the critical strike chance and bleed chance the stronger your lineup is going to be!

Q: Is there castle exterior designed for normal attack synergy? No. There is not any exterior specifically designed for normal attack synergy. In my opinion the best choice of castle skin for normal attacks is Sunken City with increased army size.

Q: Are there any counters for Normal attack teams? Yes. Daenerys Targaryen and Margeary Tyrell are direct counters for normal attack teams. They both are able to disarm which prevents the enemy from using normal attacks. Margaery works better, the more males are in the enemy team, but unfortunately in a strong Normal attack team you want to have 2 females and 3 males.
