More benefits, more surprises
A new major event was about to arrive: the War of the Crowns! A conflict between two kingdoms, offering its commanders the opportunity to wage war for an entire day, and obtain formidable rewards. The victorious kingdom could also obtain the chance to have level 5 diamond mines throughout its territory! Enough to garner a considerable amount of resources to spend.
For Arthurion, this match was a bit special, because he wore the title of glorious conqueror. A badge that could unfortunately arouse fear in the enemy, and demotivate them to strike. He had therefore taken the opportunity to hide in the ice with his troops, patiently waiting for his awakening.
Before the event began, he had been able to obtain some information on the enemies present. There was notably the presence of enemy commanders of a fairly substantial size, such as Tadami of the BTA.
-<( IN THE NIGHT )>-
As usual, the first fights started early. Arthurion had a pretty crazy habit of sleeping, so part of the adventure took place without him. From what he knew, his friends from the server had managed to organize a trap against the enemies.
Indeed, Lelia had suffered two rallies, which he had brilliantly taken, thinning out the enemy troops a little and also taking two lords in the process.
-<( MORNING )>-
K276 had a slight lead over its K35 opponents. Almost 100 million points. The friends of the night had not been idle. And it was visible on the morning ranking, since many members of K276 were in the ranking. It was therefore necessary to organize a small hive with its allies.
And then settle comfortably in the capital to collect even more points. As usual, Arthurion had polished his most beautiful horses.
It was then necessary to organize some tricks to get the enemies out of their hiding place, or motivate them to attack. The first thing to do was obviously to attack the enemies on the mines. With a bit of luck, there would be an angry commander who would come out to try a completely crazy attack, and get caught in the trap. After having cleared a few opponents, Arthurion received rather a few insults:
- MacBratt: What an idiot Attacks my mines
- Arthurion: Take off your bubble and get revenge!
- MacBratt: even nuttier than I though.
- Arthurion: but very effective for revenge!
- MacBratt: Entering a castle is much more effective!
- Arthurion: can I enter your castle?
- MacBratt: that's not effective at all!
So he continued to attack him. But each time, he withdrew his troops from the mines.
A ceaseless ballet of very little use. It was therefore necessary to find another strategy to bait his enemies. It was therefore decided to carry out a human sacrifice. A castle, offered as a sacrifice to the enemies of the cause of K276.
A pretty unbubbled castle. Who wouldn't want one? It's true that the presence of two allies right next door didn't help make the castle more appealing. One could easily suspect that reinforcements were being sent quickly, but then it was necessary to be extremely quick!
<( DEVASTATION )>-
Fortunately, Paco was watching! And his lynx eye too. He called out to his friends:
- Pacovéga: Attention! Alarm! Unbubbled Commander!
- Arthurion: warm up your underpants!
- Vangark: I'm in a kilt!
Giving him the location, there was indeed a pretty unbubbled castle among the pines of Westeros.
But this enemy had clearly decided to make life difficult for him! After a quick jump, SLINGER attacked not the trapdoor castle, but Arthuriole: the secondary sub-commander in charge of pre-washing Arthurion's stables! An iniquitous attack on an inferior, weak, puny, and surely orphaned being.
SLINGER was very fast, and the K276 team lost track of him. They were furious. Arthurion wanted to avenge his sub-commander! And the others were naturally thirsty for blood. But SLINGER had jumped. Impossible to spot him... Had he changed kingdoms? In doubt, the allied troops had cleverly taken back the castles on the opposing server, so that if SLINGER took a castle, he would be instantly notified. And indeed, SLINGER fell into the trap very quickly. He was therefore located behind the wall. Arthurion blocked him with his dragon, and took the opportunity to set fire to all the trees around.
It took only seconds to assemble a team of commanders hungry for slaughter, and organize a rally on the enemy, whose fire devoured the ramparts. But SLINGER was not going to let that happen, and he attempted a big solo attack.
The first rally was quick to strike, and the result was quite unparalleled in the history of Westeros.
The amount of troops killed was absolutely phenomenal, as was the power lost. Apparently, SLINGER had a very large number of troops, and was therefore defending with a wall comprising only T4s. Obviously very heavy losses to take. Such was the price to pay for having dared to attack sub-commander Arthuriole. After the rally, Arthurion attempted some espionage, which passed with great surprise.
The amount of resources was mind-boggling, except for gold. It was therefore decided to organize a full-scale looting. Dozens, even hundreds of attacks were then carried out by all the commanders of K276 to empty the enemy castle.
- Diavola: cool! I'll be able to buy myself a lot of stuff with that!
- Vangark: except there's no gold!
- Arthurion: if he has so little gold, it's because he must live in kingdoms with terrible taxes.
- Vangark: he still has a lot of resources left after paying his taxes!
- Diavola: we can surely make a lot of stuff without gold.
- Arthurion: beautiful stone dresses?
- Vangark: or wooden hats?
- PacoVega: or iron shoes?
After they scattered, only SLINGER remained. Alone. In the vastness of the cold beyond the wall, his castle still taken by the dragon's flames...
-<( CONTINUATION AND END )>-
The rest of the adventure went off without a hitch. Everyone kept busy as best they could in the castles, dreaming of all the magnificent resources they would be able to use. Of course, they also continued their trap attempt. Should they reduce the amount of snow on the castle? Put it further north? Or further south? Less power? But nothing seemed to work, and his enemies still didn't come out.
- Arthurion: that's what we had feared: with all our insignia from the siege of a champion city, they were scared.
- PacoVega: next time, we'll go naked.
- Vangark: or in a kilt!
And the end of the day took place in the same circumstances. We dared everything to make them come, but nothing came. If they didn't fight any more, they were at least able to have fun with friends.
-<( CONCLUSION )>-
The KvK ended, and once again saw the K276 kingdom crowned. Despite an a priori optimal preparation by the adversaries, few commanders had dared to venture into the field of war. It must be said that the most belligerent commanders had all lost their lord. The enemies having no combat reports, they indeed had a big psychological disadvantage. No information, and only defeats. At least, they knew how to harvest.
The first place in the ranking went to Arthurion, who received very profitable rewards, and in particular the troop customizations of the immaculate.
And since his alliance was first, he also got the alliance rewards. The most interesting one being the Zhea Medals.
And since this crown war was blessed by the master of light, they all obtained tokens for the crown lottery, an additional opportunity to win even more Zhea tokens.
A new KvK ended. An adventure always pleasant for Arthurion and his friends. Even if the taste of adventure lacked a little of warlike flavor. But with all his friends of K276, they still spent a fraternal moment. Because all together, they knew that a good friendship is always preferable to a victory.
