Guide on female synergy

This guide is based on author's personal experience in game and with the currently available commanders

Introduction

Currently in the game there are three different commander synergy options available for players to build for. The synergies are Weakness, Female and Normal attack. In this guide we will focus on Female synergy.

Basics

The build enabling commander for all female setups is Leila Mormont.

Leilas 4 star ability works passively and is being activated by female commander army active skills. Every time a female commander uses army active skill there is 30% chance for that skill to be used 2nd time, 10% chance for it to be used 3 times and 3% chance for it to be used a total of 4 times! Leilas skill applies to all allied female commanders, so that's why this is called female synergy. With female teams it is important to remember that all those extra army skills are based on luck, how many times Leilas active procs and it can have a big effect on the overall damage dealt in the fight. While using female lineups you should aim to use only female commanders to maximize amount of active army skills!

Note that army active skill is the skill that every commander has available and they will use it automatically in battle. The army active skill damage rises with commander quality and awakening level!

Supporting commanders with beneficial 4 star awakening ability

Note that any female commander can be paired with Leila to take advantage of her 4 star ability, but not all commanders are good to be used. In the following list I will explain all the supporting commanders for female lineups and how they pair together with leila! 

Salma has her unique 4 star ability that allows all your female commanders to use their army active skill at the start of the battle 1 time with 80% chance while reducing their troops normal attack hit chance by 30% for the first 5 seconds. Leilas 4 star ability can activate from the active army skills caused by Salmas ability which can lead to big damage right at the start of the fight. NOTE that while attacking an enemy castle, if the enemy has a wall up, all those army active skills caused by Salma will hit the enemy wall first.

Arya also has a unique 4 star ability. Every time Arya uses army active skill she will add a death marker on a targeted enemy lineup. Every death marker will increase Arya's next skill damage on that lineup by 20%. Arya´s ability works best against large numbers of troops, allowing the enemy lineup to survive longer before being killed and therefore allowing Arya to stack more deathmarkers!

Annie's 4 star ability will cause a hurricane of wisdom every time Annie uses army active skill. The hurricane will directly kill 3% of enemy deployed troops ( but the value of troops killed cannot be more than 3% of Annie´s currently deployed troops). So Annie´s ability will be stronger the more allied troops are present in battle! 

Haley 4 star ability allows allied infantry to gain a shield with 40% chance that grants immunity to damage against 1 hit and the shield lasts for 3 seconds. Haley´s skill can be beneficial to mitigate damage taken, but her combat stats are not very good.

Margaerry Tyrell has a unique 4 star ability. Every time Margaery uses army active skill there is 50% chance to inflict disarmed status on a random enemy male commander. The duration of disarm is 2s times the amount of enemy male commanders. Disarm prevents enemy troops normal attacks.

Daenerys Targaryen 4 star ability will summon allied dragons to launch 1 attack at the beginning of the battle for 50% damage value. Each use of Daenerys skill has an 80% chance of disarming the target for 4 seconds. Disarm causes enemy troops to miss their normal attacks. The best part of Daenerys 4 star ability is that she will reduce active army skill ability cooldown by 3 seconds allowing skill to be used more often!

Cercei Lannister probably has the best 4 star awakening ability to pair with Leila. Every time your commanders use active skill there is a 20% chance for Cercei to cast wildfire dealing 20% damage to all enemy troops (this includes backline troops as well). Enemies hit by wildfire have a 20% reduced chance to hit for 4 seconds. Cercei awakening skill can add up insane amounts of damage in the battle. And the more active skills are being used, the more chance there is for cercei to cast wildfire. 

Commanders you CANNOT use with leila

Sinara´s four star ability causes your troops to be in silenced status. Silenced status prevents your commanders from using their army active skills. So if you place 4 star awakened Sinara in the same team with leila, you can no longer use army active skills!!!

Rhea´s 4 star ability also causes silenced status preventing her from using army active skills during battle.

NOTE: You can use Sinara and Rhea with female teams as long as they are not awakened to 4 stars.

Dragon skills

For female synergy you want to get the following dragon skills. All the dragon skills can be obtained from the monthly Kingdom Celebration event!

Dragon strong assault increases your commander's army active skill damage. The amount of increased damage raises with the level of the skill. At level 9 the skill grants you extra 20% commander army active skill damage.

Dragon follow-up skill. Every time your commanders use army active skill, there is a chance for your dragon to launch a follow-up attack with increased damage. The chance starts from 10% and goes up to 20% when level 9. The damage value starts from 50% damage and goes up to 180% on level 9.

Weapons and castle exteriors

Currently in the game there are 4 weapons that benefit female synergy. These weapons are for Leila, Arya, Annie and Haley. The weapons' qualities increase with their star levels and can have a huge impact on the effectiveness of your commander's abilities.

Flaming Throne castle skin is the best exterior to use with female teams. It has an active bonus that will increase all commanders' army active skill damage by 30%.

Conclusions and commonly asked questions

You can get your female setup going as soon as you have Leila at four stars. The female synergy works better the more female army active skills are being casted in the battle. All female commanders work with leila (except 4 star Sinara and Rhea), but only the ones listed above grant extra benefit. 

Q: What is the best lineup for female focus? Well there is no simple answer to this question. You need to have Leila in order to get the female lineup going. Cersei is an amazing commander to use with females as it can add up a lot of damage in a short time. Daenerys is also a very good pick as her army active skill cooldown reduction allows more skills to be used and therefore more active skill damage to be done. Salma is also a good pick because she has a high chance to activate all your commander's active skills before the enemy has a chance to deal damage to you! Annie and Arya are also very useful commanders in female teams.

Q: Do troop types affect commander active skill damage? Yes they do. Every troop type added in your battle will halve your commander's active damage. Let's say your commanders deal 1 million damage in combat with one troop type attack. If you added even 1 troop from another troop type your commanders would have done about 500 000 damage. And if 3 types were added then even less. So female lineups favor using single troop type attacks!
