Alliance Conquest - Season 20 Round 4 - [N0X] vs [RRH] - The rematch

It is now Friday, 10th January of 2025, 1 day before the 4th round of Alliance Conquest and [N0X] already started theory crafting about the next opponent they have to face in their road to Ultimate Conquest. On the prior 3 round they managed to score 2 wins against [MBL] and [SKR] and lost the first round against [RRH] so they needed a win to keep a good chance to making Ultimate Conquest. Despite the pre matchmaking ranking points showing the next possible opponent being [RRH] that didn't discourage [N0X] preparations and even though they are a stable force, the [N0X] leadership sent a few ravens to their friends from other alliances looking for a bit of help to strengthen their roster. Unfortunately, everyone had prior engagements so nobody could join them for the fourth round. However, the difference between 1st match and the 2nd possible fight with [RRH] is that [N0X] kept Grombold, but will he be enough to turn the tides of the possible fight or it won't be enough? With the preparations at full speed, everyone smithing their valyrian steel weapons to equip their troops and training more troops to join their rankings, Friday passed very quickly, and it was now time for the Old Gods to do their magic on the matchmaking. Quickly after the midnight the matchmaking was done and to nobody's surprise, the opponent they had to face was [RRH].

Knowing they have a very hard match ahead, with [RRH] being almost 4.5m higher in alliance score, the [N0X] leadership started looking into the 1st match, check what [N0X] did wrong there or what department they lacked, and try to improve where they could as at this point into season every ranking point matters on the road for their goal, Ultimate Conquest. New battlefield placement was added, new people were added to the racing team and rally lead team, and when the sun was setting a raven was sent to absolutely every [N0X] member as they needed everyone on the battlefield if to have any chance to win. Around 18:30 of 11th January everyone in [N0X] gathered and started marching into Alliance Conquest battlefield. The attendance of [N0X] was amazing, close to their max capacity but [RRH] had the same if not a little better attendance.

When the entering period ended, it was 94 warriors for [N0X] against 96 for [RRH]. The numbers were looking very good however, [RRH] had the advantage of raw power on the battlefield. The fight started with the opening of both Outposts, Temple of the Mother and Tower of the Warrior. Shado was assigned to race for Lannister Outpost and as always, he's trying his best to take the building, did he manage to do 'it this time? As always, no. However, [N0X] did good on the initial set of races, they won Lannister Outpost and Tower of warrior with Grimmjow J and Grombold while [RRH] took Temple of the Mother and Targaryen Outpost with Peugeot and DrEnane. [N0X] decided to keep Grombold in the Tower and swapped Grimmjow for VERGO. The was was excelent, despite [RRH] attempt to intercept the swap.

Seeing that solos have no effect on VERGO, [RRH] quickly assembled a wave of rallies on Lannister Outpost while [N0X] started their wave of rallies on Temple of The Mother.

Despite trying to reinforce in time, the rally wave was way too big and sped up so [N0X] lost the Lannister Outpost. However, the [N0X] wave of sped rallies on Temple of the mother was also successful and they took'it from [RRH] with Mablung974. Then another rally exchange was in the making, [RRH] targeted Grombold's Tower of the Warrior while [N0X] targeted the Targaryen Outpost. Despite having a lot of rallies on Tower of the Warrior, Grombold was a shell too hard to crack for them and all their rallies bounced back while on the other hand, [N0X] rallies were successful, and Peugeot was evicted from the Targaryen Outpost.

Things were looking great for [N0X] holding now 3 buildings against 1 for [RRH] and it was now time for ports. Shado was racing for Lannister Port and sadly, for him and [N0X], this time RRH managed to take both ports and while [N0X] was busy with trying to race for ports [RRH] took advantage of their raw power and quickly soloed Mablung974 from Temple of the mother.

Then [RRH] shown their superior raw power and took the Targaryen Outpost from Ser Enki too. With only Tower of the Warrior left for [N0X], [RRH] decided to do another wave of rallies on Grombold while [N0X] decided to go for Targaryen Port. While [RRH] failed to get the Tower once again, [N0X] managed to take the Targaryen Port with LadyKnight. Right at this time, the Casterly Rock also opened, and [N0X] did an amazing job once again and took'it with subarushi. The swap went great as well and now it was DYW holding Casterly Rock. LadyKnight did her best to protect the port however it wasn't possible for her to handle waves after waves of solo's from [RRH] so the port defenses fell.

Quickly after that, a wave of sped up rallies took the Casterly Rock from DYW and the match was going strongly in [RRH] favor. However, [N0X] was decided to score as many points as possible and they took Targaryen Port and Casterly Rock back but the solo and rally power of [RRH] was too much for [N0X] to handle and as buildings opened for attacks, they were quickly soloed out of them. Close to the end of fight, a wave of rallies was set on Temple of the mother, just for the [N0X] leadership to see if it was possible to be taken and maybe make the fight better cause of cheaper healing. However, as expected all the rallies bounced as Andir1981 infantry were too much to handle.

The fight ended with a loss for [N0X], however they did improve a lot compared with the first match, managing to score an extra 13.000 points while keeping [RRH] from getting over 100.000 points. [N0X] gave their hearths and all their healings on the match and the improvement could be seen. Since every ranking point matter in their road to Ultimate Conquest, losing only 92 as opposed to 106 on the first match its great, will that help [N0X] in achieving Ultimate Conquest?
