In Dangerous Lands | Invasion

That night was very calm. I was just attacking some rebel leaders while my troops were gathering resources. We had just come back from a very exhausting Siege of Winterfell season, so this was a moment when many players decided to take it a bit easier. Of course, once I love the chaotic atmosphere the huntings bring me, I was not one of them.

I started opening kingdom after kingdom and scrolling through the map, looking for a new invasion. For some reason, it was being a bad day for that. It was one of those nights when you never find someone to attack, and maybe because of the Siege of Winterfell, everyone was very active lately and updating the bubbles more often.

I was not ready to give up; I needed to find something soon, and I had my reasons.

I was slowly climbing the merit ranking, but every week I was losing a large amount of merit points. Besides that, the hunters around me were very active, and if I stayed inactive for a week, I would lose many positions and have a huge amount of work to recover and start climbing back.

I was close to giving up. However, I had an idea. My last hope was to ask some friends if they had seen any player with the truce expired in the last few hours, and that was when I received some good news.

I opened my eyes wide as soon as I received the coordinates. A FuK player had his truce expired in Kingdom 31, where the BDR Alliance reigns. The only reason he was still alive was that he was probably an alt of some BDR player.

"Are you crazy? Do you want to get me killed? I am not going to BDR Kingdom!!" That was what I said as soon as I saw that the coordinates led to Kingdom 31.

"Calm down, I will show you who the player is, and then you decide whether you are going or not."

I could not believe that I was about to agree to that.

Swiller Bir was big and, for sure, had more than 20 million troops in his castle. His two battle gear pieces and also the troop appearance skin indicated that he was an infantry or a cavalry player, so my attention quickly turned to him.

None of my allies had an account with scrolls to see what Swiller Bir had in his lineup, so I needed to use one of my farms to jump to Kingdom 31 and scout him.

I was right! Around 20 million troops were part of Swiller Bir's army, and after doing some calculations, I concluded that I would receive around 27 million merit points if I attacked him.

His army was not composed of just one type of troop, and that would make everything much easier. Besides taking much more damage with each impact once he doesnʼt have a good frontline to tank the hit, Swiller Bir would eliminate a few troops from my army.

I had a great advantage over him, but I was still insecure about that.

Who in their right mind invades and drops their bubble in BDR's kingdom? This kept running through my head for long minutes. My friends were encouraging me, saying that if I was very fast, I would not have any problems, and even if someone attacked me in a quick response, I would still be able to hide my troops.

However, coming from the Siege of Winterfell season, where I had to train a large amount of T5, I would need some time to hide everything. In other words, there was still a very big risk in doing that.

was hesitant, but after a few minutes, I was like… "F k it, I will do that!" So I got ready and went.

Every single enemy soldier present on that wall was evaporated without any chance to react. Swiller Bir lost 459 million power in that hit, along with more than 16.6 million troops. I knew that the advantage was mine, but I did not imagine that it would be a massacre.

According to my calculations, I would still need one more attack to eliminate the remaining troops, and that would mean putting myself at risk once again, but now for a much smaller amount of merit points. Was it worth it? Of course not, but I went anyway.

With zero losses on my side, I eliminated all of Swiller Bir's remaining army, and all I needed to do to finish that invasion was hide my troops.

I really thought I would leave there without any troops. I believed that someone would be faster than me and attack me, or that someone would send a garrison or something like that. Maybe I was lucky, but I will only find out the next time I come here.
