Dear Lords, it is time once again for our weekly report. Amai’s journey in K479 continues, and I have just experienced my second War of the Kingdoms in K479. This time, K479 faced off against K178 in the War of the Kingdoms, and this story begins with that very battle...

The Smoke of Battle Rises

K178 was led by the A8D alliance; however, it appeared that A8D’s key players logged off to rest after swiftly securing sufficient points at the very start of the battle. Although it seemed that both kingdoms’ castles were occupied, in reality, the A8D and LMS alliances were repeatedly using very small numbers of T1 soldiers to vie for control of the castles. Do not forget that the Lord of Light’s effect this time is ‘Lord of Light’s Protect’. Under this mode, 80 percent of a player’s soldiers killed in battle are immediately resurrected, and soldiers lost during the event do not enter the Altar of Resurrection. It seems that neither side was employing any particular strategy; rather, they simply did not want to lose a single soldier—and they even took pride in this!

Although it appears that Barrett is the lord, MoonRacer is actually a bowman; the infantry are merely used as a front line to hold off the spearmen.

Amai was beginning to grow irritated and lose patience with this, so I launched a reckless attack; on A8D, there was an account called MoonRacer that was clearly packed with troops and defended by archers. Archers are a difficult target for Amai’s specialised infantry to overcome, not to mention that currently, on K479, there were only Amai and his partner Ge0muni. and the size of the rally we could muster barely exceeded three million. Faced with a battle where the enemy was fully combat-ready, with a formation that countered ours effectively, and a massive disparity in numbers, I’d originally thought there might still be a chance of a stalemate. I’d expected either a bloody victory or, at the very least, that the Lord would manage to escape back home. Jarit was still encouraging me:

‘Don’t disband the rally! You can do it!’

And the result...

Since there isn’t much to lose, I’m not going to be too careful with my soldiers; if I don’t seize this opportunity to push the limits, when else will I?

It had been quite some time since I’d lost my lord. It wasn’t that I felt ashamed or angry at the defeat, but rather that, whilst LMS clearly had players like DRAGONS 666—whose strength was not vastly different from mine—and had sufficient numbers to mount a fine offensive, they had behaved so timidly throughout the entire kingdom siege. I decided they needed a bit of a shake-up to their fighting spirit, so our iron fist education began during the castle siege...

On the day of the Kingdom Siege, the system notifications kept going off all day long; they actually spent the whole day playing T1 hide-and-seek...

The LMS Alliance is obsessed with the battle for King’s Landing, and they take great delight in bestowing all manner of negative buffs upon members of the kingdom who do not belong to them. I, of course, understand that players like myself are branded with a bad reputation; not only do I not mind, but I actually find it rather amusing. However, the LMS also imposes all manner of debuffs on capable players from other alliances within the kingdom, and some who appear to be completely uninvolved farmers have also fallen victim to this. Not long ago, members of ap1—formerly the second-largest alliance on K479—began migrating en masse. Before they left, their leader vented his frustrations about all this to me. To them, I am merely an invader; my actions are understandable from their perspective, but it is the LMS’s behaviour that truly oppresses them at every turn; I do not wish to portray myself as some sort of champion of justice—I am far from it—but I do genuinely dislike this situation where the LMS treats the inhabitants of its own kingdom so harshly, whilst behaving so absurdly in cross-server events such as the Kingdom Siege.

Strike with an Iron Fist

A few days after the KVK ended, a new round of Castle Siege began. In the past, I’d never got involved in this event, leaving the LMS Alliance to occupy the K479 Castle at will. Today, however, was different. Using my alt account, I roamed about contesting castles, just waiting for them to slip up. Before long, an opportunity presented itself; It appeared that LeNerick of the LMS Alliance had been assigned to hold Casterly Rock. Believing himself to be well hidden, he boldly stationed his Lord within the castle. The problem was that neither the strength of his formation nor the size of his forces seemed capable of withstanding me. I rushed into Casterly Rock as fast as I could, captured his Lord, then released him, and followed his path to find his main castle. At this point, a flustered LeNerick made yet another mistake: he withdrew his troops, which had been hiding at mining sites, one by one in an attempt to escape. However, his movements were no match for the speed of my attacks; as soon as each unit returned to the castle, I wiped them out immediately. I was like a fox waiting for its prey to show itself, making trip after trip until I had wiped out all 12 million of his soldiers.

One Down!!!

Sunspear’s High-Stakes Gamble

The other LMS members have undoubtedly stepped up their vigilance; apart from henomaus, who specialises in cavalry and is defending King’s Landing, only their alliance leader, DRAGONS 666, remains steadfastly holding Sunspear. Although henomaus’s cavalry formation has not yet reached its full potential, it still poses a certain threat to me, particularly after I cleared out LeNerick; he very cautiously withdrew his Lord back into his main city. DRAGONS 666, however, is a different matter; he insisted on stationing his main force—including his elite female archers, who include both Daenerys and Cersei—within Sunspear, leaving his main city wide open. Logically, I should have launched an attack using the same tactics I employed against LeNerick earlier.

I wasn’t entirely confident against this line-up, but thanks to my larger army, I actually had a chance of defeating him; however, if his main city’s defences were weak, then...

But I was actually a little worried that this might be a trap. DRAGONS 666’s personal score ranking is similar to mine, which is already a considerable risk. On top of that, henomaus’s Lord is currently missing. If I were to rashly attack DRAGONS 666’s castle and encounter henomaus’s garrison, even if I managed to defeat henomaus, it would be very difficult for my remaining troops to retreat from DRAGONS 666’s castle, which is teeming with soldiers. Now, I must begin planning my attack.

Firstly, I’ve decided to wait until the final countdown of DRAGONS 666’s occupation of Sunspear before launching my attack, We’ve been locked in this castle siege for over three hours; it’s become a marathon. He certainly won’t give up in the final stages; he’ll be determined to secure at least one great city. I’ll have to keep his main force firmly pinned down inside Sunspear Castle; the closer we get to the final countdown, the greater the psychological pressure on him will become; Next, to avoid running head-on into henomaus’s garrison forces, I first had my HoF lord lead a force to attack DRAGONS 666’s main castle. If his Lord had been captured by henomaus, I would have had to abandon my original plan; Fortunately, everything went according to plan; there were no garrisons stationed in his castle. I was certain his main city was wide open to attack, so what was there to hesitate about?

I was quite lucky—I dealt a crushing blow to DRAGONS 666’s T5 with my very first strike.

After the first wave of attacks ended, I had two options. Option one: attempt a head-on assault on Sunsprear. I utilised a 75 percent troop expansion buff; with the advantage in troop numbers, I might have a chance of taking out his lord. Option two: attack DRAGONS 666’s main castle again and wipe out as many of his soldiers as possible. Of course, the best-case scenario would be option three: I’ll take both!

War Has No End

Unfortunately, DRAGONS 666 retreated faster than I’d imagined; he swiftly withdrew his Lord and randomly relocated, whilst the remaining LMS members lost their will to fight. I emerged victorious in this round of the castle siege, but it’s not over yet. Knowing them as I do, they’re surely already planning the next round of the castle siege, and I’m quite certain we’ll have plenty more opportunities to clash. Oh, and by the way, thanks to this castle siege, I’ve once again pulled off a mad last-minute surge in the final stages of the Lord of Lords competition. Perhaps I should consider staying in K473 until my Sabrina reaches four-star awakening!

Most Kingdom Alliance line-ups are now relatively stable, and the allocation of great cities has been planned out. What about your kingdom? Are things still as heated as ever, with battles taking place once a week? Or do you, like some traditional kingdoms, open up Kingdom PvP on Castle Siege Day?
