However, facing a cavalry composition particularly amplified this theoretical advantage. Yet, this still had to be translated into actual battlefield dominance; DIAMONDS needed to strike hard enough to prevent LordFuria’s defense from recovering after the initial impact.

LordFuria, a player for the BwF alliance, had geared his defense toward troops capable of delivering substantial striking power; while he found himself up against an army particularly effective at countering his setup, his castle’s defense remained a formidable target.

The only troops left capable of defending the castle were thus forced into a battle closer to the castle walls, with less depth to absorb the assaults.

DIAMONDS sacrificed a mere 3 million in power, while LordFuria lost 454 million. The initial assault had nearly shattered the very heart of the defense.

But that was not the only revelation.

📜 Conclusion - After the final charge

The confrontation between DIAMONDS and LordFuria hinged, ultimately, on two strikes that played very different roles in the battle's progression.

The first strike undoubtedly marked the decisive military turning point. At the cost of 3M power lost compared to 454M for LordFuria it shattered the bulk of the enemy cavalry and transformed a once-stoutly defended castle into a hyper-vulnerable shell. Yet, the matter wasn't settled; the Lord remained alive and free, and the ultimate objective lay elsewhere...

The second strike was not meant to be spectacular in itself, but rather to finish what the first had begun. Another 99M power lost for LordFuria and still 0M for DIAMONDS annihilated the last troops capable of effectively defending the castle's heart, finally leaving the Lord within easy reach.

In total, LordFuria lost 553M power, while DIAMONDS lost only 3M.

Beyond the numbers, this battle illustrates how two strikes can tell the distinct stories of two phases within the same conflict. He lost the engagement, and the final result confirmed it.
