While the Summer is in full force in Westeros, the warriors across the continent are starting to sharpen their blades and prepare for the upcoming Arena of Honor Season 6. With just 10 days left before the start of the season, [N0X] Shado started preparing as good as he possible to try and turn around the bad luck he had on the Season 5 and maybe get to the Glory King rank this time. The team he was in on Season 5 decided to continue together so after a few upgrades and discussions about strategies, it was time for Shado to head to the Arena of Honor battlefield to meet with the team. When he got there, he noticed a few changes in the team, [N0X]Balrum had to go to Essos to have dinner with the relatives and his place was taken by [CRY]Cubishnia.

Once the matchmaking got completed the battlefield doors opened and everyone stepped inside to see for which house they'll fight this round. Seeing the team strength, Sansa Stark herself decided to step up and choose them for the upcoming fight and after the other houses chosen their teams everyone headed to their Clan Castle with the team marching towards the frozen north part of the battlefield.

Once they arrived there, they started deploying their camps around the clan castle and last minute preparations started while Shado decided once again to quickly inspect the battlefield and see what the Lannister's and Targaryen's are up to.

Unfortunately for Shado and his team, the opponents weren't easy at all, and even worse, Cersei did what Cersei does usually and invited the strongest [N0X] team into the battlefield while Daenerys had a very strong team let by tHeBrAin and Neveziad. The team quickly made a strategy tailored for the opponents but as the fight will show, the strategies sometimes change mid fight. The time for strategies ended as soon as the horn sounding the start of battle was heard and the strongholds dropped opened for attacks.

The team decided to go with what they call the turtle strategy, build a few military camps to get 1 Clan Castle and 1 Watch tower and then go trading posts for points generation in hopes they can fight for the City of Glory without having the catapults.

Set and done, the strategy worked perfectly, but then Shado noticed that the other 2 teams aren't going offensive and they both already swapped to trading posts so together with the team he took the decision to go full into military camps and get the towers and the catapults. With the strongholds now fully built, it was time for the altars to open and the team decided to focus on specific altars rather than get everything they can as with the AI teams being so aggressive there were to troops available to get too many altars.

The Lannister's didn't agree with the team trying to keep them off the Altar of Maiden though and they fought full force back, so the team changed their strategy once again from trying to keep others from doing their things to getting Altars of Warriors that will help their NPCs get even stronger. This strategy worked way better than the other one and team was slowly but surely climbing in the points rankings.

Despite that, the Lannister's managed to occupy a 3rd Clan Castle and they were keeping very close in points, so once again it was going to be City of Glory that will decide the fate of yet another round.

Once the city opened, the team decided to send 2 of their strongest warriors, Cubishnia and Wind5 to challenge the NPCs with devasting solo attacks. It was Wind5 that managed to secure the city but now the hardest part was coming, the defense. As soon as the other 2 teams noticed they can't take Wind5 out with solos, they quickly organized rallies ready to take Wind5 out at any cost.

As words ain't made for Arena of Honor, it quickly went to fighting and a battle of epic proportions between the 2 sides started, millions over millions of troops clashing with each other, swords clashing, spears being thrown and cavalry charging to break the defensive lines.

The battle that took place between the rallies and the city's defenses would remain in the history of Westeros as one of the bloodiest battles that ever took place, troops falling on each side by millions just to be replaced by the reinforcements sent from the clan castle. The rallies were failing to conquer the city but that didn't stop the other teams from keep sending them and a back-and-forth battle that kept everyone on their toes continued for most of the remaining time of the round.

Finally, after a very long fight, Wind5 managed to emerge victorious on the battle for City of Glory, mostly with the help of the relentless reinforcements coming from his teammates. With just a few minutes left of fighting, that victory concluded the round for all the houses involved in the fight.

Great first round for Shado and the team, a round that shown once again that changing strategies mid fight sometimes leads to the best results. They managed to take 42 fame points, and all the points rewards and now they are looking forward to the next rounds as they can't let the guard down if they want to reach that Glory King rank. Will they be able to win the next rounds too? We'll have to wait and see. See you all on the battlefield!
