Small and Dangerous - K215

The day had just begun, and I was already looking for some fun. My brain was not fully awake yet, so I did not want anything that would put me in too much danger. At the same time, I did not want to attack any weak targets (or potato, as I like to call it).

I knew that, because it was Saturday, I would have a much harder time invading enemy kingdoms. Most players were online, which meant their bubbles and the kingdom defenders were active 100% of the time, making life a little more difficult for any hunter.

I had not even started looking through my bookmarks when a message appeared on my Discord. Wawaf, a good friend from the KFr Alliance, had found a target in Kingdom 215 and wanted me to go there. At first glance, it looked too small, but I like to pay attention to every castle without a bubble, so I moved a little closer to find out who that player was.

Wearing fancy battle gear that gives him cavalry stats, Katuwolkus had relatively low power, which made me believe that his castle would be empty or have very few troops, making it not worth spending a scroll to go there.

I wondered why he was using Enzo as his Lord. Was he using him to attack Rebel Leaders and simply forgot to change him? Or was he using a hybrid synergy as his main formation? A castle of that size would normally be ignored by me, but given my curiosity to see his lineup, I decided to spend a few minutes and go there to scout him. And I had a surprise.

Hmm... dangerous! Katuwolkus was defending himself with a cavalry formation and Jaime Lannister to complete his lineup. At first, I was a little intimidated when I saw more than 10 million T3 cavalry, but when I realized that he did not have Enzo in his formation (meaning he had no synergy with Jaime) because he sent him to a gathering node, I began to believe that I could go head-to-head with him.

I wanted to take him down as quickly as possible, and I wondered whether it would be easier to attack the usual way by using speed-ups or simply park my castle next to him and launch one attack after another.

Well... I knew that kingdom was dangerous, but every time I had come there before, the enemy attack had taken a while to arrive. So this time I decided to take the risk and attack Katuwolkus while my castle was parked right next to his.

The first battle was tough! Both armies lost a large number of troops, and hospitals were filled with wounded soldiers. I thought the outcome would be much worse for my side, and even with significant losses, I considered that attack a great victory when I saw that Katuwolkus had lost nearly 6 million T3 troops in that attack.

I knew I had lost some T5 troops, and that bothers me a lot, but I was in a delicate position, and that was not the time to make calculations. I needed to finish the wave of attacks and get out of there as quickly as possible. So I cleared my hospital and attacked again.

The second attack was brutal, eliminating nearly ten million enemy troops, all of them T3’s. On my side, the news was good: no T5 troops had been wounded or killed in that attack, bringing more intensity to the battle.

The seconds while my troops are marching are always terrifying. I pay more attention to the movement around me than to my target itself, because I know this is the moment when my enemies see vulnerability in me and launch their attacks.

The large layer of T3 troops was being worn down with each attack, and my losses kept decreasing. From that moment on, I knew I could complete the mission without losing any more T5 troops or even my Lord.

I wondered if anyone knew I was there, because everything was quiet. The castles around Katuwolkus were completely still, as if I were invisible. That was strange. In any case, I knew that many of the players there were stronger than I was, and the longer I stayed, the more opportunity I was giving them to ambush me.

The third attack brought the kind of report every hunter loves to receive. Almost no losses, and a large part of the Katuwolkus army eliminated. At that point, I knew the battle was about to end, but his Lord and a few thousand troops were still left.

I did not waste any time. This time, I did not clear my hospital, so I would not leave troops exposed in my castle, and I launched the final attack. My goal this time was to steal as many resources as possible.

When my troops returned with his Lord captured, I knew it was time to get out of there. Parking my castle in the middle of their hive and launching attacks against one of their players is very disrespectful, and everyone knew that. I then jumped to a new location, where I waited for fifteen minutes until I could activate my bubble.

That was the first time I came to this kingdom and was not attacked by an enemy spear player trying to ambush me, which was a surprise. For a moment, I thought they had given up hunting me, but in reality, I had simply been lucky and gone unnoticed. But I know things will not always be like that, and the next time I come back here, everything could be different.
