💠Introduction
What’s up, folks? Welcome back to my Illusion Battlefield (IB) series, where I take a closer look at different matches. IB is different from the IB League tournament in that you will use your normal teams, skill sets, talents, and decoration skins, so strength is extremely relevant. The mode is also much slower-paced. Relocations and marching speed are slower. The event is one of the most entertaining events in Infinity Kingdom, and players enjoy spectating, almost like a sporting event. In this article, I’m going to take a closer look at the regular season match between Server 344’s Hot Crew(HOT) and Server 389’s The Snarktastics(ITY).

💠Overview
HOT and ITY both come from relatively new servers that lack the experience and institutional knowledge of the established IB powers. However, HOT has consistently been the more competitive alliance in both IB and IBL, showing better coordination and stronger results against quality opponents. HOT also enjoys a significant attendance advantage, allowing them to pressure multiple objectives at once and recover from mistakes more easily. Unless ITY can find a way to offset that numbers gap through superior rotations or objective play, HOT should enter the match as the favorite.
💠Starting Positions and Talents
HOT
- Started with 34 players and ended with 37
- 18 Attack talents
- 13 Defense talents
- 3 Support talents
ITY
- Started with 20 players and ended with 30
- 10 Attack talents
- 10 Defense talents
- 0 Support talents
💠Tower 1
HOT sent 9 players to Tower 1 with one overlap, while ITY committed only 2 players. One ITY player attempted to position himself to block four HOT relocations, but that play should not work because the spot is much closer to HOT’s side of the tower. Even if ITY somehow succeeds in blocking those relocations, the rest of HOT’s numbers should be able to punish him quickly and take control of the objective. ITY effectively gave up Tower 1 to send more players to the other towers.

💠Tower 4
HOT sent 11 players to Tower 4 while ITY committed 6. One ITY player attempted to block a relocation on the right side of the tower, but the plan was flawed from the start. Not only was he moving onto HOT’s side of the objective, but HOT also holds the positional advantage toward Tower 4, making the relocation race extremely difficult to win. Even after committing heavily to all three objectives, HOT still outnumbers ITY at Tower 4, giving them a significant edge in both map control and fighting power.

💠Central Tower
HOT sent 8 players to the Central Tower while ITY committed 6, making the middle much more competitive than the side objectives. HOT does not have a decisive advantage here initially, but their superior attendance gives them more flexibility to reinforce the area. Several players assigned to Tower 1 could have canceled their relocations and redirected to the center earlier, while others could rotate over once Tower 1 is secured. If HOT successfully funnels reinforcements into the Central Tower, they should be able to establish a stronger position and eventually overwhelm ITY in the most important fight on the map.

💠Altars
Neither team went to either altar.
💠Home Towers
Both teams stationed three guards at their respective home towers.
💠Play-by-Play
At Tower 1, HOT successfully blocked one ITY relocation and immediately shifted focus to capturing the objective. With virtually no resistance around the tower, HOT secured it just 6 minutes into the match. ITY's lone defender had opportunities to destroy a couple of relocations, but it would not have significantly changed the outcome given the numbers disparity. HOT quickly eliminated him afterward, and several members immediately began rotating toward ITY's home tower to extend their advantage.

At Tower 4, ITY miraculously managed to block one relocation and could have potentially destroyed a couple more had they reacted faster. HOT immediately punished the blocker and zeroed him before he could have any lasting impact. With the area secured, HOT began sieging the tower and captured it 7 minutes into the match. They then destroyed and blocked several incoming relocations while picking up two more kills. As ITY desperately tried to return to the objective, HOT continued cutting down reinforcements and quickly established complete control of the area.

In the center, the fight started slowly because of the distance between the two teams. HOT took advantage by targeting exposed players in the back who lacked garrisons, quickly zeroing three of them. With the back line cleared, HOT shifted its attention to the front and eliminated two more defenders, leaving only a single ITY player standing. Although he managed to put up some resistance and deal damage in return, he was overwhelmed by the constant barrage of attacks and eventually fell as well. HOT captured the Central Tower at the 13-minute mark, giving them control of a fourth objective and effectively putting the match out of reach.

At the 12-minute mark, a single HOT player teleported to ITY’s home tower despite seven defenders being stationed there. Reinforcements were on the way, but he proceeded to solo three defenders while several others relocated away from the objective. More and more ITY players arrived from spawn to stop the invasion, yet none could contain HOT’s one-man army. He nearly singlehandedly established control around the tower and created enough space for HOT to complete the steal at the 21-minute mark, effectively sealing the match. ITY attempted to mount a response through the Central Tower afterward, but with HOT controlling the map, the comeback never materialized.

💠Summary
HOT crushed ITY 100,000 to 10,700, with Cereal Killer earning MVP. I actually liked ITY’s overall strategy of conceding the Central Tower early and overloading the two side objectives. Given their attendance deficit, it was probably their best chance to create an advantage somewhere on the map. Unfortunately for them, HOT simply had too many players and too much firepower. HOT won every major engagement, secured every objective with relatively little resistance, and never gave ITY an opportunity to turn their strategy into meaningful map control.
