What’s up, folks? With so many new events and patches, coupled with lots of community chatter, it’s sometimes difficult to keep up. Welcome to my weekly edition of Player’s Digest, where I’ll take a look at some of the recent happenings, summarize them in a digestible way, provide some context and thoughts, and help readers keep up with all things related to Infinity Kingdom.

💠Affinity and Insignia

Patch 2.9.5 introduced Immortal Affinity and Insignias as new long-term progression systems, but right now they feel more spender-focused than free-to-play friendly. Affinity gives every Epic and Chaos immortal 30 levels that can be increased by sending gifts, with the most important rewards at levels 15 and 30, including the immortal’s Insignia, Philosopher’s Stones, and Character Story access. Free players can earn progress slowly through daily missions, which give one Letter of Blessing worth 200 Affinity points, while additional gifts come from the Zuma Shop and the returning Battle of Asteria event through the Otherworld Shop. Insignias act as a collectible stamp system that grants permanent bonuses to all immortals once conditions are met, but the strongest bonuses currently appear to come from castle skin decorations, many of which provide valuable Attack and Defense percentages. Because gift acquisition is limited for free players and stronger collection bonuses are tied to broader collectible ownership, the system currently benefits spenders much more than casual or free-to-play players.

💠Throne of the Supreme

The Grand Final phase of the monthly Throne of the Supreme tournament began this weekend with 64 players advancing from the Group Elimination stage, and as expected, the vast majority of the field consisted of high-spenders from the game’s strongest servers. Server 136 entered with the largest representation at 15 players, followed by Server 38 with 11, Server 209 with 10, Server 73 with 9, and Server 231 with 7, while smaller delegations came from Servers 56, 16, 277, M014, 137, and 248. The opening rounds featured very few surprises, as most of the favored players advanced without major upsets, further highlighting the growing gap between top spenders and the rest of the player base in the event’s later stages. After the first eliminations, 48 players have already been knocked out, leaving only 16 remaining competitors. Among the survivors, Server 231 currently leads with 5 players still alive, followed by Server 38 with 4, Server 136 with 3, Server 209 with 2, and one player each from Servers 56 and 73, setting up an increasingly stacked final stretch of the tournament.

💠Illusion Battlefield

There was another round of regular Illusion Battlefield this week, with most of the active alliances participating across both time slots. As usual, the strongest and most competitive matchups took place in the 14:00 UTC bracket, while 20:00 UTC was populated by more of the weaker alliances.

Server M014’s RiP defeated Server 156’s MDS despite losing several of their strongest members.
Server 136’s AWG defeated Server 73’s ARC.
Server 136’s SKY defeated Server 137’s GON.
Server 143’s XGV beat Server 115’s DH.
Server 209’s HK beat Server 56’s HMB.

💠Summary

Patch 2.9.5 added the new Affinity and Insignia systems, though they currently favor spenders. Throne of the Supreme narrowed from 64 players to 16 with few upsets. Regular Illusion Battlefield also returned with several strong matchups in the 14:00 UTC bracket.
