Understanding Affinity and Insignias in Infinity Kingdom

💠Introduction

Hello Friends! Patch 2.9.5 introduced two brand-new progression systems to Infinity Kingdom called Affinity and Insignias. Since both systems arrived at the same time, a lot of players have been trying to figure out how they work, where to get the new items, and whether they are actually worth focusing on.

In this guide, we'll go over the basics of the Affinity system, how gifts work, where players can get them, and why Insignias may become one of the more important long-term account progression systems moving forward.

💠Overview

The new Affinity and Insignia systems are connected progression features introduced in Patch 2.9.5.

Affinity allows players to raise relationship levels with Epic and Chaos immortals by giving them gifts. Increasing Affinity unlocks rewards such as resources, Philosopher's Stones, Character Stories, and Insignias.

Insignias function as permanent collectible bonuses that strengthen the entire account rather than a single immortal or march.

Patch 2.9.5 also added the Otherworld Shop connected to Battle of Asteria, giving players another source of Affinity gifts and progression materials.

💠Affinity

All Epic and Chaos immortals now have their own Affinity progression that can be raised to Level 30.

Players can open the Affinity menu either through the immortal portrait or by selecting the Affinity icon underneath the immortal animation.

Affinity levels increase by using gifts.

Each gift grants Affinity points, and once enough points are collected, the immortal gains another Affinity level.

One important mechanic players should understand early is that gifts are tied to specific elements.

Matching a gift to the immortal's element gives a significantly larger Affinity increase compared to using an off-element gift.

For example:

Eternal Flame matches Fire immortals

Windglass matches Wind immortals

Thunder Core matches Lightning immortals

Each element has its own matching gift.

Off-element gifts can still be used if needed, but they provide fewer Affinity points overall. Because of this, matching gifts correctly is the most efficient way to increase Affinity.

Players can identify gift elements directly from the icons shown in the Tower of Zuma shop.

The most important reward milestone currently appears to be Level 30, where players unlock the immortal's Insignia reward along with Character Stories and Philosopher's Stone rewards.

Lower levels mainly provide resources and Philosopher's Stone materials along the way.

For most players, the main reason to invest into Affinity will be unlocking Insignias.

💠Getting Gifts

There are currently several different ways to obtain Affinity gifts.

The easiest free-to-play source comes from daily missions.

Completing all daily missions rewards one Letter of Blessing worth 200 Affinity points each day, allowing players to make consistent progress over time.

Players can also purchase gifts from the Tower of Zuma shop.

Each elemental gift currently costs 20 Mystic Ancient Coins and has a purchase limit of 3.

For players with saved Zuma currency, these gifts are now one of the more valuable long-term purchases available in the shop.

Another important source will be the Otherworld Shop connected to Battle of Asteria.

Once the event returns, players will be able to purchase additional gifts using Otherworld Crystals.

Depending on how many crystals players can earn during the event, this may become a major source of Affinity progression.

💠Insignias

Insignias are permanent account-wide bonuses unlocked through the Affinity system.

Unlike systems that only strengthen a single march, Insignias apply automatically to every immortal on the account once activated.

This means the bonuses remain useful even if players completely rebuild or change their teams later.

Players can also earn additional rewards such as Gems and Gold by collecting Insignias within specific collection categories.

Another important detail is that duplicate Insignia effects do not stack.

If multiple Insignias provide the same attribute effect, the same stat bonus is not applied more than once. Because of this, collecting a variety of Insignias is generally more valuable than focusing on duplicates.

Currently, many of the strongest bonuses appear to come from castle decoration Insignias, especially those providing percentage Attack and Defense bonuses.

Unlocked Insignias can also be displayed on the player's Lord Card.

💠Summary

Affinity and Insignias add another long-term progression layer to Infinity Kingdom.

Affinity allows players to strengthen relationships with Epic and Chaos immortals through gifts, while Insignias provide permanent account-wide stat bonuses once unlocked.

Free-to-play players can steadily progress through daily missions, while players with saved Mystic Ancient Coins can speed up progression through the Tower of Zuma shop.

As Battle of Asteria returns, the Otherworld Shop will likely become another important source of gifts and Affinity progression materials.

For now, players should mainly focus on steadily building their Insignia collections over time, since the bonuses permanently benefit the entire account.
