When I first started collecting building upgrade data in Infinity Kingdom, I’m not gonna lie, I did not think it would turn into a full calculator.
At first it was more like: okay, let me write down this upgrade cost so I do not forget it later.
But then I started using it for actual planning.
How many resources do I need before I can upgrade this building?
How much more do I need to gather?
And then at some point I was staring at a giant resource sheet thinking: wait, this could actually help people.
Because let’s be honest, upgrading buildings in IK is not always the hard part.
The annoying part is knowing how many resources you need before you start upgrading.
And if you have ever started a building push and suddenly realized you are missing one specific resource, then yeah, you already know the pain.
⚜️ So what did I build?
I built a Building Resource Calculator for Infinity Kingdom.
The idea is simple.
You choose your current building level, then choose the target level you want to reach. After that, the calculator shows how many resources you need to get there.
So instead of checking every upgrade one by one, the calculator adds everything together for you.
It can calculate:
🔹 Food
🔹 Wood
🔹 Stone
🔹 Iron
🔹 Aether
🔹 Energy Core
And yes, it goes up to level 60, so Conquest and Legendary Season building levels are included too.
⚜️ Why did I make it?
Because IK only shows you the upgrade cost when you are already at that point. If your building is level 54, then yes, the game will show you what level 55 costs. But what if you are level 45 and want to know how much it takes to reach 55?
Or what if you want to rush a building to a specific level and want to know beforehand how much resources you are about to throw into it? That is where the calculator comes in.
It gives you an idea of the full cost before you start upgrading. So instead of only seeing the next upgrade, you can look ahead and see what the full investment will be from your current level to your target level.
You can use that however you want.
Maybe you want to make a full plan.
Maybe you just want a rough idea of how expensive the push will be.
Maybe you want to know how much more you need to farm before starting.
Either way, the point is simple: it gives you insight before you commit resources.
⚜️ How does it work?
The calculator is pretty simple to use.
You select the current level of a building.
Then you select the target level you want to reach.

The calculator checks every level between those two points and adds the resource costs together.
So if your building is level 40 and you want to reach level 50, it calculates everything from level 41 to 50.
You can also use the level preset at the top if you want to quickly set the same current and target level for all buildings at once. After that, you can still adjust buildings one by one if needed.
It also supports buildings that can exist multiple times, like:
🔹 Farm
🔹 Quarry
🔹 Lumber Mill
🔹 Smelter
🔹 Dwelling

So if you want to calculate more than one of those buildings, you can increase the amount and the total cost updates automatically.
You can also turn buildings on or off. So if you only want to calculate specific buildings, you do not have to include everything.
At the bottom, there is a total cost bar that shows the full amount of resources needed for your selected upgrades.

Basically, less guessing.
More planning.
Which is always nice, because IK already gives us enough chaos.
⚜️ Why this can actually help players
The main reason this helps is pretty simple.
It gives you an idea of what you are about to spend before you actually spend it.
In IK, you only see the upgrade cost once you reach that level. So if your building is level 54, then yes, you can see what level 55 costs. But if you are level 45 and want to know how much it takes to reach 55, the game does not really show that in one place.
That is where the calculator is useful.
You can use it to check:
🔹 How much a building upgrade will cost
🔹 Which resource you need the most
🔹 How much more you may need to gather
🔹 Whether your target level is realistic right now
It does not tell you what you should do.
It just gives you the numbers, so you can decide for yourself.
Maybe you want to make a full plan.
Maybe you just want to see how painful the upgrade will be.
Either way, it gives you a clearer picture before you start throwing resources into buildings.
⚜️ Example of how you can use it
Let’s say you are preparing for a building event.
Instead of randomly upgrading buildings and hoping your resources survive, you can select your current levels and target levels first.
The calculator then shows the total amount of resources needed.
That makes it easier to answer questions like:
🔹 Do I have enough resources for this push?
🔹 Which resource am I missing most?
🔹 Should I lower the target level?
🔹 Can I include more buildings?
🔹 Should I save more before the event starts?
So instead of upgrading blindly, you can actually plan the push before committing to it.
And honestly, that is the whole point.
⚜️ Why the data matters
This tool is based on building data I collected over time.
And honestly, some of it took way longer than I expected.
But that is also why I wanted to turn it into something useful instead of just keeping it as a spreadsheet sitting there.
The goal is not to make a random estimate.
The goal is to help players plan upgrades with actual data.
If something is missing or wrong, I would rather fix it than pretend the calculator is perfect.
The more complete the data becomes, the better the tool becomes for everyone.
⚜️ Community feedback
This is still something I want to improve over time.
If you notice wrong numbers, missing levels, or buildings that need to be adjusted, feedback is welcome.
Especially for higher levels, because those are the ones where data is harder to collect and mistakes are easier to miss.

⚜️ So what do I think?
Building upgrades are one of those parts of IK that seem simple at first, but become much more annoying once you start planning bigger goals.
A calculator will not magically give you more resources.
Sadly :(
But it can help you understand what you need before you start upgrading.
And in a game where timing, preparation and resource management matter, knowing the cost before you press upgrade can make a big difference.
