A War Worth Remembering - Alliance Conquest Season 23 Round 5 - [N0X] vs [OBV]

With just 2 rounds left from the Alliance Conquest's Season 22, [N0X] record isn't looking too bad, they are at 3 wins 1 loss, with all 4 rounds being fought on extremes. [N0X] members like Alliance Conquest event very much, so everyone is hoping that the last 2 rounds will be against at least equal opponents but most importantly, everyone in the alliance hopes they are going to win the next 2 rounds and maybe qualify for Ultimate Conquest once again. With that in mind, [N0X] leadership met to make yet another strategy for the upcoming match, always trying to take their opponents by surprise. With only 2 days between rounds, the time flew by very quickly and in before they knew it was already time for Scythe to register the alliance and hope for the best.

Once the matchmaking was completed, a raven with the opponent was sent to [N0X] and once again it wasn't a very good one, this time [N0X] was set to fight [OBV], yet another very strong alliance that [N0X] fought in the prior seasons. While not being as strong as [RRH] seeing [OBV] as opponent sent some chills into the [N0X] members but without anything to lose anymore, they decided to show up in great numbers and do their best once again.

With the strategy done and shared with the members, it was now time for everyone to take their commanders, troops and dragons and head towards the Alliance Conquest battlefield. Once they arrived there, everyone started stepping inside and head towards their battlefield side with [N0X] fighting for Targaryens's once again in the South-West forests of the battlefield.

With a few minutes left to enter the battlefield, [N0X] were finding themselves at a numbers disadvantage once again, beside the alliance power and alliance score disadvantage. Soon after the horn sounding the start of the battle was heard on the battlefield and the racers were already on their way to occupy the buildings.

Unlike other fights against [OBV] where most of the initial buildings were taken by them, this time [N0X] racers were on top of their game and [N0X] managed to secure both outposts and the Tower of Warrior while [OBV] only managed to take the Temple of Mother. But now the hard part was coming, the swaps.

Both alliances managed to do perfect swaps and get the stronger rally leads in and then it was time for rallies. [OBV] really wanted to take the tower from [N0X] to nullify the base stats, and they made a wave of rallies incredibly fast, like in less than 30 seconds they launched 20 rallies towards the tower and [N0X] quickly sent reinforcements to counter that.

They sped up the rallies and [N0X] sped the reinforcements and for a few seconds it was looking like LordStrandil will manage to keep the tower without problems but then the rallies kept hitting and [N0X] ran out of reinforcements and within seconds [OBV] managed to conquer the tower.

With the tower now lost and no way to contest 'it for the next 2 minutes, [N0X] turned their attention towards the Temple of Mother in an attempt to recover the building and points advantage.

They did the same strategy, quickly filling the rallies and speeding them up and somehow [OBV] got taken by surprise by the swift attack and didn't react properly with the reinforcements.

With the buildings advantage restored, it was time for the ports races and this time they got split equally, [OBV] took Targaryen port with Mohamed 10 and [N0X] took the Lannister port with Falin. Both alliances decided to perform swaps and both managed to do that flawlessly. Once again, both alliances decided to rally, with [N0X] focusing the port while [OBV] tried to take the tower once again.

It was looking like no building holder was safe as both the rally waves were successful, but looking at the battlefield, [N0X] were playing out of their minds, and they were holding 5 out of the 6 buildings opened with a large points advantage. The Casterly Rock was about to open and the racers from both sides were up to the challenge. It was [N0X] once again that won the race with Kryptic Mind and after a flawless swap, Balrum took his place as the owner.

While being busy with the Casterly Rock swap, [N0X] didn't had time to react to the rallies [OBV] did on Targaryen port and they managed to take 'it without too many problems. Then a relentless siege started from [OBV] side towards the Casterly Rock, with waves after waves of rallies

[N0X] however knew that Casterly Rock was the last chance for [OBV] to turn this round around, so they gave their best on the reinforcements and all you could heard was speed speed speed, keep going keep going, bring the kitchen sinks guys and so they did. Helped the by reinforcements Balrum managed to keep the whole [OBV] occupied for a lot of minutes until [OBV] managed to break the Targaryen outpost and helped by the base atk buff, after an epic fight, they managed to defeat [N0X] on the Casterly Rock and not only that but they got their strongest warrior in there.

Even with losing the Casterly Rock, [N0X] was at a huge points advantage, and they only needed one of the mines to win the round but with 2 mines they could win at a larger difference and get more ranking points.

The mines got split between the 2 alliances, Belore II for [N0X] and DrGreenThumb for [OBV]. Keeping the one mine was enough for [N0X] to win the round but they wanted more so they instantly rallied the Targaryen mine, the rally filling went great, they were sped up and [N0X] managed to take the 2nd mine too.

After not being able to recover the mine, [OBV] tried to rally different buildings in a last attempt to turn the fight around but it was clear [N0X] was determined to win this round at any cost so once [OBV] reached 60.000 points and no way for them to get anything more from this round, they decided to abandon the buildings they were holding and give [N0X] a chance to score more ranking points(Thank you [OBV]!).

It was the best round by far for [N0X] they played very well, top notch races, swaps and reinforcements and they totally deserved the win this round. With only one round left and them being on the 7th place, will they manage to qualify for Ultimate Conquest for the 2nd time in a row or they'll fall a bit short like 2 seasons ago? Time will tell.
