While Westeros is heading towards autumn, the season 4 of Arena of Honor is heading towards it's middle as round 5 out of a total of 14 was in sight. Before thinking at round 5, [N0X] OliverQ did a quick recap of the prior 4 rounds and to his surprise he was doing way better than he expected considering how volatile the solo que is, managing to get 2 wins, a 2nd and a 3rd place for a total of 169 fame points out of the 180 he needed for the King rank. He needed at least a 2nd place on the next round to get the rank but of course he's always preparing for winning not losing so he pushed the research towards valyrian steel weapons with hopes that by the end of the season he'll be able to finally equip his troops with the most powerful weapons in Westeros. As there was only 1 week break between round 4 and 5, time flew quickly and it was already time for him to head to the mercenary camp, so at exactly noon he took his troops, must trusted commanders and dragons and went to the camp. Once he arrived there, he entered the registration office and signed the papers required to participate on the next round and waited for the Old Gods to decide his and everyone's else faith.

Once the matchmaking was completed, battlefield doors opened, and everyone stepped inside to see for which house they'll fight and against whom. OliverQ was chosen by Margaery Tyrell to fight for her house this round along [KAW]TW Tpi, [TFi]A Dumbledore, [tNt]falcor1963, [KTW]Gohar II, [CTW]Formosa TW, [Uws]OLGAZ, [WAK]Scorp and [KgK]mayyka.

As the team got to know each-other, they all headed towards the House Tyrell's Clan Castle in the scorching south desert. Once they arrived there, they started deploying their camps around the castle and do last minute preparations before the actual fight begins. As per usual, OliverQ used a few of those minutes, to send a few quick scouts on the other houses to see what they are up to.
The scouts returned with troublesome news as there were quite a few strong warriors on the battlefield, most of them having troops equipped with valyrian steel weapons, or tier5 troops as they known in Westeros. That didn't discourage him as despite having a bit lower tier troop, his bowmen were very well trained and ready to fight. The fight started quickly after with the opening of the strongholds and everyone rushed to occupy them and then build them to start the points generation.
After taking a look at what the other houses are doing and noticing 2 of them are going for military camps, OliverQ, as the team commander decided to go for trading posts and try to keep the City of Glory with the catapults in enemy hands. However, after noticing that the enemies built full cavalry camps and someone in his team built 2 spearmen camps instead of trading posts, OliverQ had the idea to demolish the trading posts and do spearmen camps instead and try to make the fight for the City of Glory easier.
However, OliverQ lacked critical information when he did the swap and that will create an unfortunate loop in the future that will end up giving the team less points than trading posts. The strongholds were built just in time, as the altars started opening and it was time for the team to join fighting. Unlike other rounds the fight heated up right from the first altar as OliverQ tried to occupy the Altar of the Stranger, but House Lannister had a few strong warriors that decided to go against him.

Unfortunately, being attacked with tier 5 troops was too much for OliverQ bows to handle and they got decimated so he had to retreat and leave the altar to House Lannister. Despite having his morale bent, he healed his troops as quickly as possible and started looking for targets to hit again. As more and more altars started opening, the targets of opportunity started appearing on his radar and he went on attacking rampage to try and get as many altars as possible for his team.

The fighting for altars was going well, but despite that the team was on the last place mostly cause of OliverQ not noticing the neutral NPCs are infantry so they couldn't take any initial points from the watch toward and catapults. He thought of changing back to trading posts but with the troops being busy fighting for altars it would've been too little too late, so he decided to let'it as it is and instead concentrate his attention on helping his team with taking the City of Glory. Good timing as the round was getting close to its middle and it was now time for the City of Glory to drop the protection bubble.
As soon as the city dropped bubble every house started setting rallies, and so did House Tyrell, [tNt]falcor1963 decided to take the banner for his team and lead the rallies.

Everyone in the team quickly reinforced and it didn't take long before the rally started marching towards the City of Glory. Once it arrived there, there were rallies from all the houses ready to take the city and they all charged towards the city in quick sequence. falcor1963 led his troops valiantly and after a very bloody battle with lots of fallen troops on both sides, he managed to push House Targaryen's rally out of the city, however before they had any chance to heal their wounded and reinforce, the House Tyrell got attacked by the rallies from other houses and despite them trying to hold their ground, they got kicked from the city as well and a game of i kick him you kick me started. Rallies continued for tens of minutes from all sides, and it was looking like none of the houses will manage to keep the city for the 4 minutes required to fully occupy'it and then with a few minutes left to battle, the house that was doing the worst in the fight, managed to take the city and start the timer. All the other houses were astonished, and it took them a bit to react, but once they did, everyone sent rallies again and try and reset the occupation timer.

To everyone's surprise they managed to somehow reinforce properly and hold the city and with not enough time for anyone else to take'it from them, they managed to jump from 6th place to 2nd place in the fight. This shown once more if it was needed that you should never give up in Arena of Honor and just play all your possible outs.

This time OliverQ's strategy didn't work as good as it did in the past and they barely managed to squeeze a 3rd place. A bit disappointing for him as he only got 10 fame points and he needed 11 to rank up, but none the less a good result considering the battlefield was quite stacked. Will he manage to get to the King rank in the next round or fall a bit short again? We'll have to wait and see. See you all on the battlefield!
