Incredible disappointment, that is what Ashun thought of his own performance in this Ultimate Conquest season. He was a racer for one of the best alliances in Westeros, and yet, he could not achieve a win in any of his races thus far. This was not what he expected at the start of the season. He knew that his run of form was awful and had to improve, but he had no idea how to begin working on it, he was already doing his best.

Despite Ashun's lack of form, his alliance, RoD, was not struggling when it came to winning races, but instead with swapping their rally leader after winning the race. This led to RoD losing many buildings this season. Despite their best attempt at getting everything right, they just could not get the timing right. Ashun himself was one of the racers in the regular season who messed up the swaps, but ever since then, he could not practice the timing, as he continuously failed to win in the first place.

This round was going to be the biggest test for both Ashun and RoD, as they were facing former champions of the competition, WxD. This was the first time that RoD was fighting against WxD, as there was no chance for the two sides to test their strength out in the regular season against each other, mainly due to fighting at different times in the event. Now, this was the perfect time for both sides to test their strength and go all out in the competition, where only the best will come out on top. The winner will get to face the current champions, BDR, whilst the loser goes into the lower bracket, where they can only hope that their achievements won't be forgotten.

When the two sides came face to face on the battlefield, Ashun was astonished to see that even after so many seasons, WxD still held such incredible strength. They had gone through many changes across the years, but they seemed not to have lost their edge.

Ashun was getting himself ready ahead of the first races of the match, the one where his chances to win were the highest, as both alliances' best racers were spread across the entire map, trying to cover almost half of the available buildings. Knowing this, he wanted to give it more than his all and come out on top, this could terminate the bad run of form.

When the races began, Ashun noticed something unusual from RoD's side. He knew that he should not be the only one racing for the close outpost, but it seemed as though no one else went alongside him for the capture of the building, only enemies. A grave signal that he should come out victorious, and through a ton of blood, sweat, and tears, he achieved a victory, just like he had wanted.

Overall on the map, RoD had the upper hand, only losing the outpost furthest away from themselves, and securing all of the other buildings. But this meant one important thing: the swaps had arrived, it was time for RoD to overcome their weakness, and this time, Ashun had his chance as well.

Unfortunately for him, distraught by his victory, he once again missed the disband signal, which came almost immediately after his win on the outpost. He succeeded but at the same time failed, giving WxD an important building for free. Seeing his mistake, the other racers became laser-focused, succeeding in their task of disbanding before the rally leader arrived to take over the defense of the building.

Before the ports unlocked, RoD had a few chances to obtain the upper hand in the match, utilising the time to both defend the temple of the mother flawlessly, and also capture both of the outposts that WxD fought dearly for. It all came to them a bit too flawlessly, Ashun felt like, but there was no time to ponder on why the battles had such an outcome, he had to focus on the ports now.

The races for the ports were incredibly tense, with both sides capturing one of them, but Ashun this time was left in the dust, not by a teammate, but by the enemy. The swaps for both sides were flawless, each side not giving the other a chance at intervening, leading up to WxD being rallied by the RoD warriors, who wished to control the entirety of the battlefield in their pursuit for a victory.

The rallies were ferocious and many, but Wangchuang, the strong spearman rally leader of WxD, was unshakable. No matter who came after him and what RoD was sending his way, he simply could not be stopped.

Eventually, RoD gave up the idea of the port, after all, even without it, they had secured the entirety of the battlefield, including Casterly Rock, which went by unnoticed by Ashun, who was distraught by the incredible fighting.

Rallies continued to flow for both sides back and forth for the rest of the match, but no one gave up an inch, solidifying the result that favoured RoD, with how many buildings were under their control. Ashun was looking back at the match, not only because of his unforgivable mistake, but also at how everyone else was completely flawless. It seemed that everyone else was changing and adapting to the competition, except for him. If he wanted to be an important part of the team in the future, Ashun needed to step up. The hardest match of the season was coming up, BDR was the next opponent.
