Another magic trick? - Siege of Winterfell Season 16 Round 2 - [N0X] vs [FFS]

After getting a win on the first round against a bigger alliance on the first round of this Siege of Winterfell season, [N0X] went towards the 2nd round with a very high morale and ready to win no matter what opponent they would get. Their goal was to get 5 consecutive wins and have a very high chance to make the top 12 required for them to participate in Siege of Winterfell's ultimate conquest. However, that would be easier said than done cause the more you win the higher you get in points and the most likely you are to meet very strong alliances. Even now after just one win the possible opponents based on ranking were scary, alliances like [FFS] and [HD!] were having almost the same number of points as [N0X]. With that in mind in the few days between the round, [N0X] leadership decided to take a seat to the table and try to tailor their strategy based on the opponents they could meet and also try to have one strategy for each of them as the time between the matchmaking and the actual fight isn't too long. Dealing with the strategy making took them most of the days and it was now time for the alliance to be registered for the 2nd round and hope the Old Gods won't give them the strongest opponent.

Despite all their prayers, at the midnight when the matchmaking was completed and alliances were announced whom their opponents are, [N0X] received news that they were hoping to not receive, the opponent they got was [FFS] an alliance way stronger than them and despite [N0X] and [FFS] being friends once, that wasn't the case anymore so for sure [FFS] was going to do everything in their power to crush [N0X] hopes and dreams. While the matchmaking was the worse one possible, [N0X] decided to fight for their chance to win or at least get a decent result so every warrior did everything in their power to prepare as good as possible and give their best on the battlefield. Once everything was set and done, they gathered together and started marching towards the Siege of Winterfell battlefield and they arrived just in time as the gates opened, and everyone started entering the battlefield. There were a lot of warriors on both sides, but it was looking like [FFS] is holding the upper hand on that too as with only a few seconds left before the battle start the board was showing 91 warriors for them while [N0X] only had 72.

Overcoming such a high numbers disadvantage combined with strength disadvantage might prove an impossible task for [N0X] specially since they lost Grombold and MAKIMA too but as always, they will try to give their best and hope for the best outcome possible.

As soon as the battle started, everyone rushed to their assigned buildings with your favorite duo Shado and LadyKnight being assigned to the Hot Springs, so they headed there as quickly as possible to see how hot the springs actually are. The cavalry warriors are always the first on scene, but it didn't take long for everyone on both sides to arrive there and start fighting. There were so many warriors on both sides, each controlling millions of troops and when they started clashing, the earth under their feet started trembling from the so many soldiers stepping on it at once. The valyrian steel clashing could be heard from very far away and after just a few minutes of fighting the hot springs were now red springs from all the blood spilled on the battlefield and you could smell the death in the air.

Despite fighting at a very serious number disadvantage on the Hot Spring's side, [N0X] warriors were determined to hold their ground and maybe manage to push back [FFS] or at least hold as many of their forces there so the other side, the Armory side would manage to do better as they weren't at such number disadvantage there. The troops kept clashing, warriors were losing all their soldiers just to go back to their castle, put their medics to work and as soon as troops were healed, they were rejoining the fights. Despite all the efforts, the healing speedups used and doing their best, as they fight progressed it was looking like every time, they were managing to kill a few [FFS] and turn the number balance a bit in their favor more [FFS] warriors were popping, and they had to redo the process. Slowly but surely, the [FFS] shown that their raw strength was mirrored on the battlefield and with each minute of the fight, they were managing to push [N0X] back a bit and then a bit more, from the hot springs and armory to the strongholds and then with time passing to the outposts and ultimately, [N0X] was pushed back to their own base.

[N0X] kept trying to fight them for the rest of the round even when boxed in their own base but sadly, despite all their efforts, fighting a much stronger alliance on a number disadvantage is just not doable in Siege of Winterfell.

Despite all their efforts, [N0X] couldn't overcome the raw strength of [FFS] but despite that they fought bravely, just couldn't overcome the numbers that [FFS] were able to send at every base and that resulted in a stingy loss. After facing 2 very strong alliances in a row, all that [N0X] hopes is that they'll be matched with equal opponents in the upcoming rounds and be able to score some wins.
