💠Introduction

What’s up, folks? With so many new recent events and patches, coupled with lots of community chatter, it’s sometimes difficult to keep up. Welcome to my weekly edition of Player’s Digest where I’ll take a look at some of the recent happening, summarize them in a digestible way, provide some context and thoughts, and help readers keep up with all things related to Infinity Kingdom.

Summary

💠Illusion Battlefield League

After seven weeks of IBL matches, the top five have changed slightly. CUBS reclaimed first place, after being fifth last week, by being the only team with six wins, all other teams have five. They defeated HMB this week to knock them out of fourth. SF completely destroyed SSQ within the early minutes of the game to stay in second. BUNS skipped this week and dropped to third from first to take SSQ’s spot. GoN had an impressive win over EDEN and placed themselves fourth. 1ST claims fifth as the only team with one loss in the top five. The two teams from Server 205 have improved dramatically since last season and have been doing well in Season 5. Most of the top teams have already used their two free break weeks already so starting from next week, we could see matches between the titans at the top. Most of the top teams play at 14 UTC while CUBS, HMB, and a couple of others play at 20 UTC. It’s possible we could get another rematch between CUBS and HMB at some point. Who do you think is the strongest contender this season?

💠Patch 2.7.0 Skills

Patch 2.7.0 was released on June 27^th. While we already have extensive information about the new LoF, there were some new additions to the game that we can preview. Firstly, several new skills are added to the new LoF shop. Unforeseen Attack, Assembly Charge, and Abundant Spirit are the new Epic skills that are purchasable in the shop. Assembly Charge is similar to Cleave and should give the likes of Hannibal Barca and Alexander more oomph. We could see a resurgence of mixed Earth teams in the future. Abundant Spirit provides additional trigger chance to skills and increases magic damage. It’s essentially Concentration with an added 10% trigger chance. Fire users who have been using Seondeok without Corrosive Power could return to Empress Wu and the use of Himiko will certainly rise. Unforeseen Attack, in my opinion, is the least useful of the three. It’s similar to Snipe but can trigger against any enemy. It’s not consistent and I don’t see it as an option for a main team. Additionally, Legendary skill Attack & Defense should become available soon in Blessing of Triss. The skill will provide damage while making its user tankier. It’s befitting for any physical attack damage carry.

💠Discord Euro 2024 Event

The Official Infinity Kingdom Discord(IKDC) is hosting a Euro 2024 Event during the football season. Round 2 kicked off this week. There are still 16 teams left in the game. Between Saturday, June 29, and Monday, July 1, they will play for the eight slots in the quarterfinals. For the event, if your team wins any match, you’ll get 200 gems. If your team loses any match, then you’ll lose 100 gems from your earnings. For every Yellow Card, you give your opponent 100 gems. For every Red Card, you give your opponent 300 gems. Every foul will cost your team 10 gems which is rounded up or down to the nearest 50 gems. If the match goes to a Penalty Shoot Out, you get 50 gems for every goal scored but 50 gems will be deducted for every missed goal. The remaining teams should have accumulated a bunch of gems through the first round of the event already. This is another chance to earn some more gems. Whether you’re a sports person or not, come participate in the festivities and earn some in-game rewards by rooting for your favorite teams!

💠Summary

After seven weeks of IBL matches, two of the top five teams dropped out to make way for two new teams. CUBS claims first, SF holds second, BUNS drops to third, GoN and 1ST takes the fourth and fifth spots from SSQ and HMB. Patch 2.7.0 gave the community several new skills that will be available in the new LoF shop as well as a Legendary skill that will be available in Blessing of Triss. Round Two of the Discord Euro 2024 Event has started.
