The anticipation within FuK for the first round of the 18th season of Alliance Conquest is steadily rising as they approach the start of the first round. Having triumphed in many of their matches last season, except against the formidable WxC and FDH, the FuK fighters are gearing up for another thrilling tournament. This contest holds special significance for Choso, an accomplished racer who joined them last season after leaving WLB in search of better opportunities for success in the grand King's Landing.

In Alliance Conquest, two factions, Lannister and Targaryen, fight for control of Casterly Rock and other key buildings such as Ports, Outposts and Mines. This season has brought changes to the event as we knew it. Holding certain combinations of buildings would bring about better buffs for the whole alliance. Choso's opponents find themselves on the Lannister side, a position earned through their ranking. The alliance ranked above earns the Lannister side, whilst the side with less points assumes the Targaryen side. As FuK aim for another convincing campaign and to secure a spot in the top 16 in order to participate in Ultimate Conquest, they are fueled by motivation and determination, especially under the seasoned leadership of Mariner37.

On the day of the first round, Choso eagerly anticipates the challenge ahead, relishing his role as a racer capturing key buildings. Despite the high anticipation and excitement for what is to come this season, he tries to remain focused on the task at hand, heading to the Alliance Hall where strategies are discussed, as well as the announcement of the opponent.

Once he arrived to the wooden and old Alliance Hall, Mariner37 quickly reveals their opponent, with a disappointed look on his face. WxC were going to fight FuK in the first round. This cut off any excitement that the members of the alliance were feeling, as this posed an impossible threat to get past. To Choso this was a blow to his morale, but he was not going to let them defeat him in the one thing he does best, racing. To him that was more precious than the defeat that was to come.

Preparations were now complete, the fighters embark on the battle, being the total opposite of what they had shown earlier. All of their confidence was gone in a flash, now displaying just disappointment towards what was heading their way. The beautiful surroundings are overshadowed by thoughts of defeat, a sentiment shared by all. Choso however, was attempting to remain focused on his tasks, he had to win at least one of the three races that he planned on attempting this time around.

As they reach the battlefield, FuK is amazed by the sheer power that the WxC were exuding. They could feel the force from the opposite side of the map, their numbers were also an incredible asset over what FuK could bring to the table. This battle was over before it had a chance to begin. The once depressive atmosphere shifts to a terrified one, the stone walls of Casterly Rock were now appearing more imposing and grandious than ever. But for Choso, he didn't feel any of that pressure, as this time around he did not care how strong his opponents were, he was going to aim for a victory over a race.

As the battle begins, Choso sprints towards the Tower of the Mother, he runs faster than he ever did before, but despite his strong desire to win and desperate attempts at making it in time, his march had gotten stuck at 2 seconds, making him unable to reach the building before his enemy.

Despite Choso not winning his race, FuK managed to win one of the buildings and they were ready to hold it with all that they could. Whilst this was happening, Choso chose to help as well and to not be demoralised by the loss of the race, as he had more ahead of him. This attitude was something that Mariner37 really admired about Choso, he showed determination even in dire situations and after defeats. In his eyes this is a feat that not many are capable of doing.

After a while, the Outpost was lost, but everyone was proud of defending it even for a bit against those powerful solo attacks from WxC. There was not much time to celebrate, as Choso needed to ready himself up for the second race of the match. Unfortunately for him, he was once again now quick enough, this time he couldn't even ready himself up to send to the building. This night did not look well for him in the slightest.

Now with the Port race lost in such a way, Choso could not simply stay put, swearing that he will get his turn with Casterly Rock once it opens. He did not have to wait long, as the match was very uneventful, letting him rush towards Casterly without thinking too much about anything else.

This race recorded not only a loss for Choso, but a devastating start to the season for FuK, who before this match had high aspirations for themselves, now they are all but shattered. Mariner37, being the cheerful and experienced leader he is, knew that something like this could break the whole season for FuK, those choosing to cheer everyone up and motivate them to look towards the battles ahead of them. Despite this loss, FuK still had a chance to reach top 16, just as Choso had a chance to get his redemption, but will they be able to do it?
