Hey guys! We have qualified for the playoffs. Our first opponents are [URB] HoldourBeer. We have faced them once before during the season. We won that battle. However, it was at 19:00, a time slot that favors us. Only 18 of them joined the battle last time. Unfortunately, today we are scheduled to fight at 13:00. This is the best time slot for URB. They will 100% field more than 30 players.
Chapter 1: Battle Planning

One of the their strongest members in the previous match was BronnOfTheBW. Since quite a few more will join him today, there could be other strong players. However, that doesn't seem to be the case based on the alliance member list. Since he is a cavalry player, graycon and I will have to fight him.

If BronnOfTheBW is their strongest player, then we won't have trouble fighting them for the dragons. However, the quality of their other members and the number of players that they field could give us a lot of problems with the buildings. We cannot send too many to take the dragons. But if we send too few, we might lose control of the dragons close to us. We have to find the sweet spot.

I decided to keep the same members in charge of capturing the dragons. If they have more members in the buildings, we can send some there and focus only on capturing the dragons closer to us. In that case, the buildings will decide the match. We will have to react to the changes in the round. I wish this round had the bag. That would have reduced the number of people needed here.
Chapter 2: Numbers

41 players from [URB] have joined the match. This is more than double the number from the previous match. As suspected, they will try hard to get the Hot Springs and the Armory. We need to hold Hot Springs and give them the Armory. However, we must hold them there. As long as they don't progress forward, we could fight for some dragons and gain points. But this will be close.

We decided to send similar numbers to both sides to test which side they would put more pressure on. Sure enough, they decided to focus their full brunt on the Armory. They sent only their strongest player and about 10 other armies to fight us. We quickly removed all the enemy troops.

Lol! 60+ armies. They have decided to go all in on one side. They have practically given up on the right side. If it were not for our stronger T5 accounts in the armory, they would have burst through the defenses fairly easily. However, seeing the difference in numbers, they will send some of these fighters to attack our back line. We cannot have that chaos. We need to answer now!
Chapter 3: Counter

Marcellus and I decided to leave the hot springs to the others and began to attack their back line. We need to make the first move. Even if we cannot get it, we need to hold BronnOfTheBW here. Just as planned, seeing us defeat the weaker defense at the stronghold, he rushed to help his fellow members. Nice!

I looked over to the armory. Wait what! Lol! Our small army stood strong against their large numbers and slowly removed quite a lot of them. They had tried to attack our back lines. However, our second accounts present there have held them off long enough for graycon and Nomad to kill them.

The enemy did not change sides to try and push us out of the Hot Springs. So I split my troops to different locations. We are currently making the same points. But now and then we capture the armory to make more than they do. We need to keep this status quo. They began to attack our stronghold in hopes of doing the same.
Chapter 4: Dragon Charge

We did not face any trouble with capturing the first two dragons. [URB] was slower than us. Maybe I should have attacked their dragons. But it would have been hard to capture the dragon. Both were on their side. All the dragons after this, including the 3rd dragon, will be closer to the center. Then we will have a good chance to capture one or two of theirs.

What! Only two armies are defending the Hot Springs. Right before the 3rd pair of dragons appeared, the enemy noticed our weak defenses. We have overextended ourselves. We have too many in the stronghold. I rushed to move two of my troops to defend the city while reinforcements arrived just in time. Phew! That was close. I quickly began repositioning players to defend the Hot Springs. We cannot let it slip through our fingers.

I decided to send my strongest army to help with the dragons. [URB] have thought of the same plan. Capture both the dragons now and get the early lead. We can expect them to send their best fighters. Currently, we hold the numerical advantage. We need to bring the dragon as close as possible to our spawn point. That gives us more time to take them back if we lose them.
Chapter 5: Strategy Battle

Come on! The [URB] accounts present at the dragons are their second accounts. They failed to see our higher numbers. We now have no problem delivering both the dragons. Each dragon gives us 3,000 points. That gives us a solid 9,000-point lead. Now we wait for the 4th pair. Wait, what is that?

Seeing our weakened defenses at the Hot Springs, BronnOfTheBW and the other strong players began to attack the Hot Springs. They have captured the stronghold. Without Marcellus, Graycon, or me to hold them back, they have wiped out our attack squad. Because of the dragons, I failed to notice this. I rushed back to fight them.

They have timed this perfectly. For the 4th Pair, I will not be there to help. And some of their members are already in place to take the dragons. Oh no! Will they reduce our gap now?! It will be bad if that happens. Wait, why are they not attacking the dragons? They gain no points by capturing the Hot Springs. Or have they given up on winning?
Chapter 6: Secured

Suddenly, all of their stronger players began to run to the closest dragon. Oh no! There are only 5 armies on this one. I quickly began to weaken them one by one. We shouldn't let them take this dragon. They are trying to get points for the 40,000-point milestone. If we let them take these now, we won't make it to 80,000 points.

We are very lucky that their troops landed right beside the stronghold. The extra troops there have saved us. This presents the perfect opportunity for us. Our attack force began to advance rapidly on the Hot Springs side. We need to hold this dragon, and we can extend the gap to 23,000 points. They will not try again after this.

Nice! Seeing us capture all their buildings, the rushed back to the old line to secure their buildings. This is good for us. The fact that they chose the Stronghold, not the Hot Springs, shows they have settled for getting 40,000 points. This is good for us. We can win this match!
Chapter 7: Final Touches

In between, they tried to take the Hot Spring again. However, we sent reinforcements immediately to defend it. The same line between us remained as we continued to capture all pairs of dragons. I opened the eliminations to check. Whoa! In our previous encounter, BronnOfTheBW had topped the rankings. This time, three of us have done significantly more damage. Good work, guys!

With 3 minutes to spare, we have achieved 80,000 points. Let's go! We go to the Quarter Finals! What a match. In order for [URB] to get 40,000 points, we began to retreat from the buildings. We have no use for the points. They tried hard. They deserve these points.

Ah man! So close! They missed out on the 40,000-point milestone rewards by 200 points. That's so unfortunate. They were so close to capturing the dragon. Our guys were slightly slower at retreating. We need to improve there. We have so many second accounts that it is hindering our reaction speed.
Chapter 8: Quarter Finals!

Come on! Nice victory. As expected, they fought hard for the 40,000 points. However, they were not too strong compared to us. We didn't make any mistakes. We didn't lose any points we didn't want to. That is good. I feel we brought our A game. Some hiccups, but there is nothing to improve in terms of strategy today. It's one of those days where everything falls into place.

There are no surprises here. [ZKD], [3IF], [SRG], and [BWU] are the victors. [KHY], [ZKD], and [BDW] will be the semifinalists. They are too strong for their opponents. In our case, [37b] has some strong players, but their numbers are too low. We need to use our advantage well. It will be a battle for the bag. I shouldn't make the same mistakes I did in the 5th round. We need to win this!
