[Season 6 – Round 1]

Like every new season, this one began the same way: with high expectations, but no two seasons are ever experienced in the same way.

Season 6 of Arena de Honor was kicking off, and as the clock began its countdown, SCEPAL took a deep breath. He knew that a new battle was about to unfold and that every decision could change the fate of the entire team. Team Umbra arrived with the confidence of a team that had left an indelible mark during the previous season. They were coming off big wins and incredible plays, as well as the teamwork that had made them a formidable opponent. However, in Arena of Honor, the past never guarantees the future.

This time, it was time to defend House Stark.

With almost all team members present—or at least the regulars, aside from a few last-minute reinforcements—the atmosphere was filled with anticipation and enthusiasm. Among the new additions was Diver, a new alliance partner for SCEPAL and Ardesign, who had come over from BDR. His arrival had raised expectations, as he looked very strong and surely brought with him experience and fresh ideas. While the team finalized the details before the start, they shared strategies that had worked in previous matches. The goal wasn’t to repeat them, but rather to refine them and find a masterstroke that would tip the scales in their favor.

And then the familiar figure appeared—the one who always exuded calm.

Demerzel, along with his alt, Eto, had returned.

As usual, he resumed his position as Lord Commander, ready once again to lead the team with his characteristic calm and resolve. His presence alone was enough to remind everyone that, even in the midst of chaos, the team had to keep a cool head.

As was customary, the STARK castle was captured as soon as the match began.

The Stark castle was left in the hands of Ser Behemoth while it was fully reinforced with cavalry, and the rest of the force advanced to secure and reinforce the first strongholds.

SCEPAL watched every move, and each building they captured was a small piece of a vast puzzle that was just beginning to take shape.

Once the fortresses were secured, they were converted into cavalry camps, while the second line of fortresses and the first altars began to open up

At the same time, the team is trying to capture the Greyjoy Mirror Castle, although the target seemed to put up a fight, and they were unable to occupy it on their first attempt.

The second-tier fortresses were also quickly reinforced, but only for a few minutes while House Lannister held first place in the standings.

-I hope we get off on the right foot…- thought SCEPAL as he watched the board change over and over again.

There was no room for anxiety, and in Arena of Honor, an early lead could vanish in a matter of seconds.

Once the protection phase ended, the second strongholds also became cavalry camps, unlike in the previous game, where they had been converted into Exchange Posts.

When the first fortresses reached their maximum level, the troops quickly withdrew to continue capturing every building that appeared. For a few minutes, the team held a significant point lead over the other teams, although Lannister began capturing altars and quickly took the lead in the standings.

Shortly afterward, the Sept of the Seven opened, and the Umbra team reacted immediately, attempting to regain the lead while securing the new altars and reinforcing every conquered position.

The battle intensified by the minute.

And soon after, one of the most important objectives of the entire match appeared.

The City of Glory had just opened.

The team arrived before anyone else.

This time, it was Diver himself who was in charge of conquering it. It was his first major operation with Umbra, and he didn’t hesitate to show his strength. He charged in with cavalry while the rest of the team began reinforcing with cavalry. However, there was one obvious problem: the team didn’t have a large number of cavalry units available.

-How long can we hold out? -asked SCEPAL as he watched attack after attack come in, trying to replace the cavalry stationed at the castle with infantry or lancers and send them to the center as quickly as possible.

Every enemy strike shook the defenses.

Some allies sent in cavalry; others reinforced with whatever troops they had available. It didn't matter what kind—what mattered at that moment was holding the line.

Everything seemed to be going well... until, with less than two minutes left before reaching the state of protection, House Targaryen launched a devastating attack and managed to seize the City of Glory.

SCEPAL then felt that mix of frustration and helplessness that only arises when victory seems to be slipping away.

There were still 25 minutes left in the game.

House Stark was in third place.

No one mentioned giving up.

The decision was unanimous among the group; everyone cheered, -Let’s retake the center and conquer every lost altar!!-

That was when Diver organized another rally.

The entire team responded by sending reinforcements, and the attack went off without a hitch.

The City once again belonged to House Stark, dethroning House Lannister, which had been occupying it at the time.

All they had to do was hold out a few more moments to enter a state of protection.

It seemed that, at last, the scales would tip in the team’s favor, but in the Arena of Honor, you can never count your chickens before they hatch.

In another show of strength, House Targaryen retook control of the City just before it could go into a state of protection.

For a moment, silence reigned… they had to keep trying, they had to think, improvise, and believe that it could be possible.

Then ETO launched a rally packed entirely with infantry, attempting to retake the center.

Everyone sent infantry to the rally once more.

But before it could arrive, a veritable flood—this time from House Lannister—stormed the City and took control.

Nothing seemed to be enough—what was to be done?

Nothing was working.

Without wasting a second, Diver quickly prepared another rally.

SCEPAL was certain there was still a chance; she thought about how strong the team was, how it could achieve anything it set out to do—and that’s how it had to be.

Everyone sent out marches to the new rally once more with the best cavalry available and whatever troops each could contribute; no one was willing to give up without continuing to try.

They had to win… no matter the cost.

The seconds seemed to last an eternity; it felt as though they would never reach the center.

Finally, Diver managed to enter the City of Glory once again.

From that moment on, reinforcements rushed in from all over Umbra.

Every enemy attack met with a new line of defense.

Every casualty was replaced by another wave of fresh troops—healed, sent back into battle, and reinforced once more.

Everyone fought knowing that the fate of the match hinged on those final minutes.

And, after withstanding blow after blow in the center...

House Stark reached the protected state.

The standings changed this time… House Stark had moved into first place.

It was then that everyone breathed a sigh of relief for a few brief minutes.

Because the battle wasn’t over yet.

With just over five minutes remaining, House Targaryen managed to break through the defenses and reclaim the City of Glory.

But Umbra didn’t stop there; as the center changed hands once again, they continued to capture altars, secure Dragon Well, and occupy every available building to maintain the hard-won advantage.

The rallies began again… the center had to be Stark’s!!

Amid the chaos, House Lannister had managed to push Targaryen out of the center.

It was the opportunity the team had been waiting for.

Then came ETO’s rally, weakening the enemy’s defenses at just the right moment, with Diver following close behind.

The final seconds seemed to make time stand still.

And when the clock showed less than a minute remaining in the match...

Diver entered the City of Glory!!

This time, it held its ground for the remainder of the time until the final countdown reached zero.

House Stark thus finished in first place, and Team Umbra secured another victory at the start of Season 6.

As he looked at the final result, SCEPAL couldn't help but smile... Once again, it confirmed that the greatest victories don't belong to a single player, but to an entire team built on trust and tenacity.
