A Young Lord of the Ancient Kingdoms Part 128 (A New Siege of the Champion City)

The wind swept across the green plains, bringing a sense of peace, and among those hills, large groups of soldiers could be seen. There, our Lord and QUEEN arrived with their troops, heading toward a siege.
Upon reaching the castle, he saw many camps and troops preparing for battle. While searching through them, he found a companion, a friend, a brother; it was none other than “AmaiAmai,” who was there with some allies from the alliance.
“My friend, what are you doing here?” our Lord exclaimed.
“Come on, join us quickly, there's no time!” AmaiAmai called out urgently.
Among so many banners united from different alliances under a single standard, the CCS battle for control of the “Scarlet Palace” would begin.

The battlefield was beginning. There would be an alliance made up of many strong Lords called AfV. It was not a particular alliance with permanent members, but one created exclusively for this type of event to gather Lords for the reinforcements during this battle.
Within this alliance would be extremely powerful Lords such as “Tholking, MAKIMA, TERRY TATE,” Lords who would already take control of the castle as soon as it lost its protective shield.

On the other hand, there would be a small alliance called AnU, among which the most notable member seemed to be their supposed rally leader, one called IRON BOY. It was one of the alliances with the largest number of Lords, as there were not many other alliances participating.
Most players joined the other alliance instead, since it had open entry and, overall, stronger Lords.

Finally, there would be NTC, an alliance that had recently merged with HHH. They were practically brothers now, which was also why our Lord and his friend had found AmaiAmai there.
Among them was an allied Lord named Hank Taiwan, a specialist in the Infantry formation, who would be in charge of the rallies, taking advantage of the fact that the enemies in the castle were Spearmen.
“Have faith, my friend. We won't lose much—he's very strong,” his friend AmaiAmai said to our Lord.
The first attack was quickly prepared. The trumpets sounded for the assault against “ImperialRock,” another extremely powerful Lord from the AfV alliance, who was holding the Scarlet Palace. He had fortified himself with a formidable number of Spearmen.

Hank's first attack had been a success. Although the losses were similar to those of the enemy, it was unclear whether it had been a victory or a defeat, leading to the conclusion that it had been a slight draw.
Hank's commanders were very powerful. Among them, he also had NightKing, one of the most difficult commanders to counter. His synergy was exceptionally strong, and most of his equipment had a respectable number of stars.
Of course, ImperialRock would ultimately prove to be superior, as he was one of the strongest Lords in all of Westeros. However, the fact that Hank was achieving similar results despite fighting against a counter to his formation was truly remarkable.

However, not everything was sunshine and roses, or anything like it, because battles were also influenced by real-time factors, such as which commanders were being used and how their awakenings interacted.
For those reasons, there were also times when Hank Taiwan's troops were completely annihilated, resulting in heavy losses.

And it was not something that happened just once, but several times. It was a difficult situation for our Lord, while QUEEN was still deciding whether to join the battle or not.
The losses were heavy, but so were the numbers of enemy troops they were eliminating. It was quite a dilemma.
“We can earn a lot of points, but we're also losing troops,” our Lord thought.

Lord ImperialRock remained in control of the castle. Every time he was attacked, he quickly recovered, thanks to the large number of Lords who responded and reinforced his castle whenever it came under attack.

Despite this, many Lords, even those who were weaker than him, continued launching attacks, even though they knew they were heading toward defeat, because the need for elimination points was great.
Most of them wanted and needed the ranking rewards, but besides that, the sacrifice of their troops in battle also granted materials for obtaining emblems and other items.

The same would apply against other alliances and their leaders, in this case against an Archer using a Cavalry formation, the female formation, which is now commonly used by Archers as well.
But let us also remember something. According to our Lord, “Archers are perfect for defending—extremely so, in fact. However, I have never seen Archers achieve good results when attacking.”
This may indeed prove to be true, because they have to copy a synergy that is not specifically designed for them either.

Now here, despite fighting against a Lord who also used an Infantry formation, or perhaps because of the quality of his troops, this was becoming a complete massacre for the rest of the factions.
There was practically no one left who could stop him. His defense was flawless.

Most of the attacks launched by all the Lords achieved very little, with the exception of Hank Taiwan, who, despite the time spent in the NTC alliance, began to see foreign Lords arriving from the AfV alliance.
These Lords were unable to earn their points because there were no sufficiently strong attacks capable of driving out the Lords who had already established themselves there.

Now, with more support for the rallies, Hank continued launching attacks. By then, our Lord had stopped sending troops and let the others continue.
“How many troops does he intend to lose...? He wants that castle no matter what,” our Lord thought as he watched an enormous number of troops being sent to their deaths.

But there came a point where the Lords would be changed. Now, TholKing would also defend, another extremely powerful Lord belonging to BDR. He would also use the Spearman formation, but for some reason, he would receive Infantry reinforcements.
This created an unexpected turn that would be taken advantage of by another Lord from the PRP alliance, with a strong Cavalry formation. However, the result was still not very favorable, although he deserved credit because he managed to eliminate many troops.
The battle countdown was already coming to an end. Our Lord watched as a massacre had taken place. He had sent his troops, but only enough to obtain his points; even so, he had also lost a very considerable amount.
He would calmly leave the battlefield, and the great Scarlet Palace would remain under the control of that alliance. The title of best fighter would go to “ImperialRock,” against whom no enemy had been able to rise as a true threat.

As a Result;
The great AfV alliance would take full control of the castle and, as if that were not enough, they would also claim the title of best conqueror, ImperialRock, bringing fortune to all of their allies who participated in the battle.
Hank Taiwan and AmaiAmai obtained many battle pieces, but this also led to a huge number of troop losses.
Our Lord and QUEEN only fought for their points, being satisfied with the amount of troops they had left and ensuring that their losses were not as great as those of other Lords.

As a Recommendation;
It is not necessary to lose so many troops. It is better to study your Rally Leader and determine whether they are capable of generating a large number of points, so you can decide if it is worth sending troops.
And if you have a situation like Hank's case, it is better to send T4 troops to secure a number of kills, battle pieces, and elimination points, rather than simply giving away T3, T2, or T1 troops.
Never send T5 troops. They are extremely expensive to heal, and in serious cases, recovering them can be very difficult due to the excessive cost of Valyrian Steel.
That would be all for this week!
Until next time!
