Supreme: An Arena of Honor Story | Season 5 Round 14

Hey guys! Welcome back. Today we fight in the penultimate battle in this season of the Arena of Honor. We are close to the top 200 ranks. If we win both the next two matches, there is a small chance we make it to the top 100. Today I join INFURNO and his team. We are on an incredible run of games. We have won the last six matches.

Chapter 1: Call the Banners!

There are no new members in the team. All of our usuals are present. sebastrus and Anhur will once again act as our spears. Both SANji and I will send our lords to any of the captured faction cities. We need to be quick and decisive. Hopefully this time we can capture and hold the Glory City.

A fairly strong team. However, all of them are of different troop types. There is no cohesive structure. It could be our advantage or disadvantage. If they are disorganised, we will beat them at the Glory City. If they are organised, they will destroy our defences with multiple rallies. None of them stand out amongst the team. All appear to be strong.

Lots of spear players in this team. PEACEFIGHTER appears to be quite strong. However, the rest of the team appears to be of decent strength. So they might not beat us in the city. However, we should not be complacent. They could be hiding their real strength. The battle for the Glory City will be interesting.

Chapter 2: Perfect Chance

The plan remains the same. We have to focus mainly on the faction cities, the towers, and the catapults. We can make a lot of points that way to ensure our victory. Whether we will be successful in the first two steps will depend on the strategy of the other two factions. I rushed to look.

Let's go! The Lannisters have made trade posts. We can count them out in the battle. Now we have to counter the Targaryens, and we can get those points. However, if we lose those, we will end up last. We should not underestimate the trade post strategy. However, this increases our chances of success.

As expected, in the 4th minute we captured the Greyjoy Faction City. Despite a small delay in sending Lord, our defense held strong against the NPC rally. Now we can stop the Targaryens from taking three faction cities. Since the Lannisters have opted for the trade post strategy, they cannot stop us from taking the Baratheons' City. We need to use the opportunity well.

Chapter 3: Perfect Execution

Let's go!! Within minutes, we captured the Baratheon City. We have not even set the second line, and we have both. This gives us a very good chance to set our second row for the towers. Quickly, we began discussing strategy. We cannot waste crucial time. We need to act now and counter the Targaryens. We began capturing the Greyjoy outposts to counter their faction city.

Immediately, I sent spies to check the Lannister defense. We need to counter them. What if we beat their defense to capture four castles? That would help us even more. It might also distract the Lannisters. Since they can be a strong opponent for us, we need to weaken them as much as possible. So far so good. Everything is going smoothly.

Chapter 4: Disaster

Before I could even finish typing, I saw an icon at the bottom right. Nooooo! Nooo! The Greyjoy rally had defeated the defense. INFURNO's spear commanders could not help the cavalry defense. An unfortunate situation. I rushed to call back my army from the altars. We need to take it back now. We cannot waste time here trying to recapture it.

OMG! So close! No! I watched in despair. I tried to rush and send another attack. We have to try again. And then, like an angel, I saw sebastrus rush to fight. Let's go! He smashed the defense in a single attack. I quickly sent my lord to replace his weakened troops. If we hold on till the NPC cavalry troops join us, we can hold.

I watched anxiously as the other rallies landed. Let's go! We have defeated them all. Then a report popped up. The Targaryen attack landed. Nooo! They had defeated a good chunk of my cavalry. Wait why? I rushed to check the defense. No, the others have sent bows. Did they see sebastrus' army in that split second and send bows? Greyjoy began new rallies. Have I made a mistake...

Chapter 5: Bad Move

Then another battle report popped up. Nooo! What is this?! One after the other. The Targaryens nearly defeated the low cavalry defense. I decided to use a desperate move. I have only 200,000 cavalry here. Next attack the Targaryens or the Greyjoys will beat us to take the City. I called back all the armies in the hope that everyone would send cavalry for defense.

Within seconds, everyone quickly sent their cavalry. For a moment, I was very proud of my team. I very nearly let them down with my mistake. And then I watched as the cavalry landed on the city. It had to be sebastrus' NPC version. What an unfortunate coincidence. All the confidence in my body left me. Just 2,000 troops decided the fate of our defense. 2,000...

Chapter 6: Towers and Catapults

The only good thing from the past few minutes is that we have been able to beat the Targaryens and capture all three towers. I rushed to change the settings to focus on the catapults. We need to get the first capture points on those before the Targaryens notice it. However, I cannot shake the feeling that I have let down the team.

I looked as our troops marched to the Greyjoy city. Defeat. We will not capture the Faction City any time soon. With the Glory City opening in a minute, we will be too busy to even notice this. The Targaryens have, however, not noticed that the catapults have opened. Luckily, we have first capture points from two, and we will get the third one too. Finally, a small boost in confidence for me.

Chapter 7: Glory City

Come on! sebastrus' rally quickly captured the Glory City. This time, in fact, we have nearly 3M troops in defense at the very first second the troops landed. Now we need to add more and wait in defense. The others will surely try to beat us. Especially the Targaryens, who have realised by now that they could end up last.

The very next second, I coincidentally looked over to the Greyjoy city. Wait, they are removing troops to send to the rally! Then our next attack could win! Immediately, I freed my main army. I cannot disturb the others. I have to redeem myself. The T5 cavalry troops in defense will help me well. Yess! I quickly sent my lord to the City. I tagged other players to send spare troops when they were free.

The first few attacks were fairly weak. Most players tried to solo attack the Glory City. This could indicate that they are not very organized. However, we must remain vigilant till we can be sure of this. I kept continuous watch over the Greyjoy City. The others began sending cavalry troops. The defenses were resounding victories. Finally, I feel like I have redeemed myself somewhat.

Chapter 8: Mines

They were unable to organize properly. Our players have begun rapidly taking their altars, so they have had to shift their focus there. Hence, their attacks could not break through the T4 bows. As soon as the big mines opened, several of us rushed to capture all three. It was the same for the small mines. They could not find an answer for our speed.

Even the largest rally could not do more than kill 75,000 troops. Finally, we can rest easy here. In the small mines, we began hitting their captured ones. We cannot let them try to get more points. They will try to counterattack. We hope that attacks from several areas will confuse them and increase our chances to continue holding the towers and the catapults.

I watched as we slowly reached the end of the match. What a battle. So many ups and downs. So many near losses. I still feel bad about my mistake. I was very lucky in some things. However, everyone worked very hard. What a victory! 234,000 points! The others deserve this.

Chapter 9: Victory!

It was a nice match. I now rank in the top 160. The final match will decide if I will be Glory King. How nice it would be to end the season that way. However, if we are to win again in the next match, I shouldn't be making such mistakes. I very nearly cost us the match. I cannot rely on luck every time. Until next time then!
