HOH vs TQL | Ultimate Conquest | Match 1 |

The most awaited moment for the alliances of Westeros finally arrived!

After a long journey where they faced six matches in the Alliance Conquest season, the best sixteen alliances of the kingdom qualified to play the final phase of Ultimate Conquest with a single objective: bring the name of their faction as far as possible in the competition. Contending for the champion title were without a doubt RoD, BDR, NBe and WxD.

Among the best sixteen was also HOH after a heartfelt clash played against LEG in the last AC match where they came out as clear winners, earning this result.

The fighters had a few days to fully recover the energy used in the previous rounds in order to arrive today on the battlefield with even more charge than ever. The members of HOH lined up on their side waiting for the rivals of this first round to arrive. During the wait the alliance leaders were reviewing with their allies their strategies that until today worked properly, they were interrupted when war cries and the sound of horns started to be clearly heard as an imposing army began arriving on the battlefield, it was…

TQL. The fearsome group led by fierce warriors such as HankHill, ChrisDeBro and DarKPhoenix was without doubt an opponent to face with extreme caution. Their six matches of the AC season were played with great proof of strength and they reached this stage with merit.

“We must pay maximum concentration” the HOH leadership members said in their pre-match speech “Our opponents have among their ranks absolute level fighters and we must be ready to reinforce our companions in a few moments” they concluded. They knew how dangerous the offensive power of TQL was and reminded their allies to always stay alert during the sixty minutes of the match.

“We surely have a slight advantage over our rivals” said Neik talking with his allies

“It is surely so, but let’s remember that UC will be fought with a maximum number of 70 members per side, we will hardly have a numerical superiority over them” Ferrious reminded his ally, underlining an important rule of the final phase of the competition that almost completely cancels the possible numerical advantage of the more famous alliances.

The match was about to begin. Every fighter was focused on their initial objective like Neik himself ready for the start for the conquest of Mother’s Temple, building assigned to him by his allies. The sun rays hitting relentlessly the battlefield created a burning climate that became even more intense due to the tension of the imminent battle.

Start HOH vs TQL

A match start that was balanced for both alliances who each secured two buildings per side!

Neik, disappointed, was overtaken by the speed of Sotlermann who reached the walls of Mother’s Temple in a flash.

HOH immediately took control of their destiny: the first decision was to perform a swap in Warrior which was successfully executed where TheMadQueen moved to defense with her Bleeding-Inf formation of absolute level putting the position almost in safety.

The second step was taken by Neik and his teammates attacking the walls of Mother’s Temple to try to immediately steer the match in the right direction. The well synchronized attacks hit the targeted walls that… collapsed!

Another swap was performed by them this time to place Neik himself on the defense of the newly conquered building… it was executed perfectly and did not allow the members of TQL to put the new defender in difficulty.

HankHill and his allies were visibly in difficulty. The attempts made by the fighter to conquer Warrior did not bring the expected result with an impeccable HOH defense in this start of the fight. Shortly before the opening of the Ports, Neik and his allies decided to try to siege with full force Targaryen Outpost attempting to also conquer the fourth available building to put maximum pressure on their rivals.

When the attacks landed… the defenses of Neitharios collapsed under the final blow delivered by Tardis!

“A great job in this first part of the match despite the balanced start, now let’s focus on capturing the ports!” said the leadership members encouraging their allies to give their best for the next two objectives.

At the opening of the ports, they were captured one each for the two alliances.

It was without doubt a breath of oxygen for TQL who in this way could stay attached to the fight thanks to the speed of HankHill who was surely a tough opponent for HOH for the capture of the port.

“Let’s perform in Targaryen Port one swap then we will focus on what to do” was the plan decided by HOH leadership aware of the advantage on their side.

The surprise was however around the corner…

Rallying Port

The swap performed was not among the best ever made by HOH members and Jon Snow WIC took advantage of the opening that was created attacking the walls at the right moment also conquering the second port!

“This was not needed” said Neik seeing an advantage gained in the first phase shrink heavily.

A match that found itself in an unexpected balanced phase thanks to the mistake made by HOH with TQL who took advantage without hesitation. Later however it was again Neik and his companions who took the initiative organizing rallies to hit the walls of Lannister Port trying to conquer at least one of the two before the opening of Casterly Rock.

When in haste the rallies landed… once again the offensive power of HOH overcame the defenses of TQL! The troops of Wallace 1st with his Weakness-Spear formation delivered the final blow against the strong Female-Cav of HankHill which countered could not do much against the incredible number of incoming assaults.

“Casterly Rock will be available shortly, let’s deal a heavy blow to their morale” said Neik addressing the allied racers. It was an important target for the outcome of the match that could make TQL’s comeback look like a mountain to climb.

When it became available…

LUNG for HOH was the fastest to reach its walls and secure it!

A point almost of no return where TQL found itself. After bringing the match back into partial balance, they once again had to chase an enemy that today seemed almost on another level.

“Let’s assault the walls of Targaryen Port” was decided by HOH leadership.

Attacks targ port

The single attacks that landed however did not give the expected result, the defenses of Jon Snow WIC were effective in repelling attacks that were clearly not timed well enough to threaten him.

The second attempt however was organized with a different inertia. The rallies that were going to hit the target had much better timing and when they reached the enemy walls… they collapsed! The defenses of Jon Snow WIC and the reinforcements of TQL members were not enough this time and they were defeated by the final blow delivered by Ldy Brienne!

Without losing an instant another swap attempt was made by HOH which this time did not fail with Blood Wick moving to defense of their last conquest.

The attempts to come back into the match passed through different positions, first from Warrior with the relentless assaults of HankHill on TheMadQueen’s defenses, then DarKPhoenix who assaulted the walls of Mother defended by Neik. But none of them gave the desired effect with HOH reinforcements arriving nonstop.

The match seemed in fact near the end with TQL seeing the possibility of coming back as an almost impossible task and decided in this way to raise the white flag and wait for the end of the clash!

When the sixty minutes of battle ended the victory of the first round of Ultimate Conquest went to… HOH!

MVP's

The best fighters of the match were xTheMadQueen for HOH and HankHill for TQL. The fighters who found themselves many times against each other in Warrior obtained the title of best fighters for their respective alliances thanks to the eliminations achieved.

“The match saw us start with 70 members against 64 rivals and this certainly had a heavy impact on the final result. Despite this we fought with great attention and commitment which did not allow our rivals to get into the match. A great job, we will see each other in the second round which will be of a completely different level!” was the final speech of the HOH leadership before leaving the battlefield.

“It was a understandable choice from them to save their forces” said Neik during the return to K345 addressing his allies.

“I agree, on the other hand a defeat does not mean their path has ended, they will have a second chance” replied Ferrious stating that in her opinion it was also the best choice.

A first round of Ultimate Conquest that ended in the best possible way, with a victory for HOH. The match ahead however will surely see a rival that is one of the winners of the first round.
