As the Summer is slowly but surely approaching Westeros, the Season 5 of Arena of Honor is approaching its end quite quickly. For [N0X]Shado, the first 7 rounds had their ups and downs in terms of ranking but on the round 8 he finally found a good team and managed to get his 2nd win of the season and for the 9th round he's looking to get the same result so he keeps slim chances of getting to the Glory King rank.

He used the 2 weeks between the rounds to keep adapting his strategy and the gameplay to his new team, smelt more valyrian steel weapons for his troops and even managed to go and finish a quest that gave his dragons a new skill to use in battle. The time flew by, and it was already Sunday evening, so he took his most trusted commanders, his dragons and troops and head towards Arena of Honor battlefield and once he arrived there, he met with the team and signed the pre-registration papers required for the team captain to register the team. Quickly after, the team got registered and then everyone waited patiently for the Old Gods to do their matchmaking.

As the matchmaking only needs a few minutes, it was done very quickly and now the battlefield doors opened for everyone to step inside and see for which house they will fight this round and most importantly against whom. Shado's team was chosen by House Stark for this fight and once the picks were locked in everyone headed towards their house Clan Castles, with the team heading thru dessert towards the South-West part of the battlefield where the House Targaryen's Clan Castle is located. Once they arrived there, everyone set their camps, and last-minute strategies were put in place.
As mostly always, Shado sent a few scouts across the battlefield to see what the other houses are up to and boy oh boy they were up to big things this round, especially the House Lannister that had invited a very strong [RRH] team led by Dakarshur.

The time for strategies was quickly over as the horn announcing the start of the battle was heard all over the battlefield and the strongholds dropped the protection bubble and opened for attacks.

Once the 2 minutes of occupation ended, it was time for the constructions to start, and the team decided to once again go with military camps and try to get one maybe two other Clan Castles and have an easier time conquering the City of Glory later in the fight.

Their plan worked and within the first attack of their NPCs they managed to take the House Greyjoy's Clan Castle and with a few quick reinforcements they managed to secure 'it and now have access to 24 strongholds instead of just 12.

With the Clan Castle now secured it was time for them to turn their attention towards the middle of the battlefield where the altars started opening and they needed as many of them as possible to secure an early advantage. Beside the usual reinforcing to the stronger team-mates, Shado also needed to do quite a lot of solos as the more altars were opening the harder it was for the team to hold them. After a swift attack on one of the Altar of Stranger's, Shado got quickly reinforced and good that he did cause the altar went really quickly under siege.

The fight for altars was taking its toll on everyone's troops, but as the points were very close between the Houses, nobody wanted to give up so early into the round.

The fight for altars was going very well for the team and they managed to recover the points difference and grab the first place for now, but the most important building on the battlefield, the City of Glory was about to open for attacks and it was mandatory for the team to get 'it if they wanted to win the round.

Balrum took the lead on City of Glory as he eliminated the neutral NPCs with a quick solo, everyone reinforced quickly and prepared to fend off the attacks. The other houses didn't let themselves waiting and it didn't take long for the rallies to arrive at the City of Glory gates.

Despite being hit by 4 enemy rallies at once, Balrum managed to defend very good against all of them with the help of the very well-timed reinforcements coming from the rest of the team. The fight for the city wasn't going to end with just a wave of rallies, it continued for minutes after minutes with the reinforcements dropping as low as 3 million troops, and the reinforcements arrived just in time to save the city for another wave of devasting rallies.

The reinforcements made all the difference and the team managed to secure the City of Glory and left the other 2 teams with nothing they could do to get the first place from House Stark.

Very disputed round for the team, where everything was decided by the City of Glory and that shown that dedication, resilience and never giving up can save any round no matter how bad it looks. Shado is now on the 2nd win in a row with the team and his hopes to reach Glory King rank are growing with every round. With 6 rounds left to fight, will he be able to fulfill his goal or it's already too late and those 2nd and 3rd places will take their toll? We'll have to wait and see. See you all on the battlefield!
