Alone Once Again - Arena of Honor Season 5 Round 10

With the Spring almost over in Westeros, it's time for the warriors in Westeros to embark into another round of Arena of Honor, the 10th one of the Season. After having a good winning streak with the Fantastic 10 team, the dark clouds are approaching for [N0X]LadyKnight as a raven brought her quite some bad news, she won't be able to play the 10th round with them, as they needed to kick her out to make room for some closer friends so she had doubts on wherever to play the round in solo queue or skip the round entirely. After weighting in her options, she decided to play in the round in solo queue and Sunday early in the morning she took her troops, commanders and dragons and headed towards the mercenary camp. Once she arrived there, she signed the registration papers and then waited together with her commanders for the matchmaking to be concluded by the Old Gods.

With the matchmaking now done, it was time for the House representatives to get out of the battlefield and pick the warriors to fight for them in this round. LadyKnight was chosen by Daenerys Targaryen to fight for her house and together with her Daenerys also choose [XvX]April Oneil, [GEU]Equus Nox, [XvX]Arena Soul, [XvX]MKMK, [EdF]Subrio, [XvX]Milliarde, [XvX]CruCio and [XvX]Sagitarius A.

Once the other houses picked their teams, it was time for everyone to step inside the battlefield and head towards their clan castles with LadyKnight's team heading towards the south-west forests where the House Targaryen's clan castle was located. Once they arrived there LadyKnight decided to send a few spies across battlefield to see what the other houses are up to.

Teams

As expected, the scouts didn't bring good news, both the Lannister's and the Starks had invited great teams to fight for them so the round was announcing to be very disputed. The fight started quickly after with the opening of the first 7 strongholds and everyone quickly headed towards them to occupy and reinforce them.

After the occupation time was done and the building time started, LadyKnight noticed something unexpected this season, her team decided to go with trading posts instead of the usual military camps so her first thought was "we're cooked". Without anything she could do, she decided to go with the strategy and hope for the best. With the strongholds constructed, everyone's attention started heading towards the altars, especially the altar of the mother as the team needed as many of them as possible for this strategy to have any chance to succeed.

Beside the usual reinforcements of the stronger members of the team, LadyKnight decided to go on a solo adventure too and try to secure as many altars of the maiden as possible, she was quite successful in her quest and managed to help her team's points generation a lot.

As more and more altars were falling in House Targaryen's hands, they managed to catch up on Starks in points and even get the first place, for now at least. Both Starks and Targaryen's were fighting neck in neck for the first place and now with the Dragonpit's opening now, the team needed at least a few of them to keep competing in points.

The [XvX] premade group were playing out of their mind and helped by LadyKnight and the other team members, after very intense fights, they managed to secure 2 of the 3 dragonpits and things were going great for them. It was looking like it's going to be another round where the City of Glory was going to decide the winner and as it was about to drop the bubble and open for attacks everyone across the battlefield were locking in.

As soon as it opened, Targaryen's took the lead and everyone reinforced quickly and prepared their defenses. Without catapults, holding the City of Glory is going to be a very though challenge for the team.

The other 2 houses immediately started setting up their rallies and it didn't take much for them to start marching towards the city. As soon as they arrived a battle of huge proportions started between the attackers and the defenders and despite LadyKnight and the team sending constant reinforcements, ultimately the team had to admit defeat and withdraw from the City of Glory premises.

The team then went on offensive but while doing that they almost did a critical mistake and the NPCs started an occupation time on the House Targaryen's Clan Castle. It was looking like things were about to go downhill but LadyKnight managed to quickly assemble a solo attack and kick the NPCs out of the clan castle.

With the clan castle now saved, the team attention went back to rallying the City of Glory and Sagitarius A, the strongest in the team, decided to take the lead.

He managed to take the City of Glory but without catapults a 20-minute game of continuously refreshing reinforcements started as the catapults were killing 15% of the troops inside city every minute and combined with the rallies done by the other houses made the fight incredibly hard but with a lot of dedication and on point reinforcements the House Targaryen managed to secure the City of Glory and with it, the win in the round.

It was one of the hardest rounds LadyKnight fought, and only her and the team's extreme dedication and never giving up saved the result of the round. She managed to get yet another win and it's staying up there in the glory ranking. Will she be able to rejoin the team for the next rounds or she'll have to keep living on the edge on these solo queue rounds? We'll have to wait and see. See you all on the battlefield!
