The Final Stand - Alliance Conquest Season 23 Round 6 - [N0X] vs [WxD]

There's almost summer in Westeros by now and Alliance Conquest is heading towards the last round of the regular season and for [N0X] the last round is of a huge importance as doing good in it means another qualify on the Ultimate Conquest. The first 5 rounds went great for [N0X] with 4 wins against [Gjs], [KIK], [SFu] and [OBV] and a loss against [RRH], but they also need a win on the 6th round or at least not losing at a big score if they want to qualify. Before the actual round there were a lot of discussions in leadership as for what timeslot should they choose to maximize the chances to qualify. Ultimately, they eventually decided and with a few minutes left before midnight on friday, Scythe, the queen of [N0X] registered the alliance and everyone waited to see what opponent the Old Gods will choose for them.

At the midnight, the Old Gods did the matchmaking, and the biggest [N0X] fear come true, they were going to fight [WxD].

Being about twice as strong as [N0X] and having a 5-0 win-loss record, not much could be done to defeat them so instead [N0X] leadership concentrated on strategies that would help [N0X] accumulate as many points as possible as every ranking point will count. Once that was done, the match hour was getting close, so it was time for warriors to take their troops, commanders and dragons and head towards the Alliance Conquest battlefield. They arrived there just a bit after 12:30 and started entering as soon as they got there and headed towards the South-West of the battlefield as they were fighting for the Targaryen's this round.

Fighting at an unusual timeslot took the tool on [N0X] attendance and with just a few minutes left for warriors to enter the battlefield, the numbers were heavily in favor of [WxD] with 98 warriors against only 81 for [N0X]. That didn't discourage [N0X] as they were set on reaching the Ultimate Conquest goal and were determined to do everything in their power to do so. The racers got into the starting pits as the round was about to start the first 4 buildings were set to open.

Unfortunately for [N0X] the races didn't went as good as they wanted and they only managed to secure the Tower of Warrior with GrogU while [WxD] took the other 3 buildings. Then it was time for swaps, and both alliances got stronger warriors inside buildings in order to protect them better.

[N0X] decided to hand the keys to the tower to LordStrandli and as soon as they reinforced [WxD] launched a wave of solos being determined to take the only building that [N0X] had as quickly as possible.

[N0X] were managing to somehow withstand the wave of solos but with heavy causalities and despite that they decided to also try and go in offensive and do a wave of rallies on the Temple of Mother hold by wangchuang.

16 rallies were quickly assembled and sent within a minute and then sped up but despite trying to take [WxD] by surprise, the difference in power between alliance was too big to overcome and the [N0X] rallies did little to no damage. Seeing as their solos weren't enought to take the tower, [WxD] quickly made a wave of rallies to retake the building.

The result was what mostly everyone expected, [N0X] stood no chance to keep the building despite reinforcing very quickly and now, before the ports opening, [WxD] was controlling the whole battlefield.

Ports got split equally with AlexHarett securing the Lannister Port for [N0X] and tmoe securing the Targaryen Port for [WxD]. Unfortunately for [N0X] their swap had some technical difficulties and got intercepted by BA NA NA from [WxD] while their swap went very well and now, they were owning 6 buildings out of 6.

[N0X] kept trying to do rallies on the buildings but the warriors holding them were way too strong for [N0X] to kick out so their last chance to get some points were Casterly Rock and later into the fight, the mines.

Despite sending all rally leads and the racers to try and take the Casterly Rock, it was [WxD] that won the race with STRAW BERRY and [N0X] had to give up on that building too. Then the personal castles lost their bubbles, and it was time for [N0X] to finally secure some points, and they did great on that

After managing to get all the personal points left [N0X] thought that's all they'll get in this match and started chatting about the points difference and if there are any chances left to qualify for the Ultimate Conquest after such a loss. Once [WxD] got to 80000+ points, something that nobody really expected happened, they started leaving the buildings for [N0X] to occupy and get some points (Thank you [WxD])

Withing minutes, all the buildings got occupied by [N0X] and their points count started climbing rapidly and the Ultimate Conquest qualifying was once again on sight.

The fight ended with [WxD] winning at a very close score, and the 40+ points [N0X] managed to save with the help provided by [WxD], after the fights from the other timeslots ended, [N0X] managed to occupy the 12th place in rankings and qualify for the Ultimate Conquest once again. Time to celebrate now for them and then start preparing for the Ultimate Conquest. Considering how strong the alliances are there will they be able to win some rounds like they did on Season 22?
