
After the defeat against [FeA], we are hungrier than ever to win. Today we fight a 66B power alliance [Dau] DracarysLeague in the second round of Alliance Conquest. It will be a hard-fought battle. However, our superior numbers could help in this fight. Will this be the battle in which we get our first victory of the season? It will help boost morale if we win.
Chapter 1: Action Plan

As always, the tower of the mother will be crucial to our battle. Casterly Rock and the mines will be next in the hierarchy. We will have to assign players to these buildings to counter the enemy's top player. I quickly opened the list of players in [Dau] to take a look at their top player.

From the list, I can see that OTTO KIRA is their strongest player. He is a strong spear player. In fact most of the members from [Dau] use spears. Rudi, Marcellus89, and titanium66 could help propel us to victory. Unfortunately, I will struggle in this match with my cavalry.
Chapter 2: Setbacks

We are quickly hit with our first setback. Marcellus cannot make it to the match. His absence reduces the number of strong infantry rally leaders. We do not have a bow rally leader. Our cavalry leaders will have to step up. It will be costly. This makes it more than important to capture the tower of the mother. We need to reduce costs as much as possible.

As soon as the match began, I placed my castle on the map. I started making a list of rally leaders as they joined the match. Then I noticed something. Nomad and Azarai have set their castles on the opposite side. "What happened?" I thought to myself. Then it hit me like a sack full of bricks. I am on the wrong side.....
The other players set their castles beside me, trusting my sense of directions. Another setback before the match has even started. What a clown show lol. Several members did not join until the last few minutes. We were 20 vs 38 before a large group of our members joined us. I quickly wrote instructions in the chat. What a bad start...
Chapter 3: Racers

The only good thing about our start is that we captured 3 out of the 4 initial buildings. However, we did not capture the tower of the mother. One of our most important objectives.

[Dau] have anticipated that we would use out infantry against the spears. They sent their best cavalry player to hold the tower of the mother. I quickly called Nomad to rally it with his spears. However we have only one spear leader. Getting the tower of mother will take time and the cost of healing will rise with each extra minute that passes. This is bad.
Chapter 4: Ports

"OMG." Both of our rallies have failed. The cavalry defense is too strong for even Nomad's spears. Before I could coordinate rallies to attack the tower, the others signaled that the ports will open soon. I signaled titanium and graycon to attack the ports. Rudi will have to capture one of the mines instead.

Before we could even blink, [Dau] captured both the ports. Noooo! We are losing everywhere. This cannot be happening. Now they are making more points than us.
I began preparing for Casterly Rock. We must capture it! I instructed titanium to make infantry rallies. Both the players in the ports use spears. If titanium gets one of them, we can continue fighting.
Chapter 5: Casterly Rock

Luckily my cavalry helped me capture Casterly Rock without an issue. Finally, we can make some extra points. We cannot celebrate yet. If OTTO KIRA is free, he will attack it for sure. It could work for us, however, if OTTO KIRA remains at Casterly.

I prepared myself for the full force of [Dau]. We still hold the lead. They know that Casterly Rock's capture is important to win. This would free me to capture one of the mines or the other port. Maybe even help Nomad with capturing the tower of the mother.
Chapter 6: All Falls Down

Within minutes four rallies landed on Casterly Rock. With devastating losses, we lost Casterly Rock. It was inevitable. We have no more infantry players free to hold Casterly Rock. We will have to focus on other buildings. It is also good for us if OTTO KIRA remains at Casterly.

As luck would have it, despite OTTO KIRA winning and clearing out the defense, it was Nick De Groo's rally that captured the castle We have won nothing so far. Only losses. The healing costs have skyrocketed. In my frustration, I attacked the Lannister port. We have to win something! We cannot keep fighting a losing battle!
Chapter 7: Counterattack

My attack landed. I half expected it to be a complete loss. Wait a minute! There are no commanders in the defense! OMG! [Dau] has tried a new strategy of sending the army without the lord. This reduces launch time by a few seconds. This explains why titanium could not capture it in the first place. However, this has made their defense weaker. Let's go!

Yessss! Finally, we can catch a break! Sensing defeat, CrF1 left the port. With a quick rally, titanium captured the port. We wiped out nearly 10M troops from the defense with near-zero losses on our side. We have to disrupt their defenses. Hit their weakspots. Quickly I began sending single-troop armies to all the enemy castles.

Again! Another building without commanders. This is how they have captured more buildings than us. I quickly sent another attack. We must make them spend healing. They must not be given even a second to breathe. I have decided to keep the stronghold weak in order to farm elimination points. We have to ensure that they spend more healing resources than us. That is the only way to level the playing field.
Chapter 8: Mines and Pain
For the next few minutes there was intense fighting. Many buildings exchanged hands multiple times. We hold the lead by 4,000 points, but the mines can change everything. I quickly messaged Rudi to get ready. I prepared to attack their cities right before the mines open to cause confusion. However, this match is becoming very costly for me!


I prepared myself to take the second mine. It will help to distract the enemy while Rudi holds the other one. I successfully captured mine. I looked over to the Lannister mine. Oh no! Rudi was not the fastest. I quickly called the players to rally it. Within a few seconds, Rudi captured the mine from the enemy. The opponent had sent his army without commanders. Yesss!

If we hold the mines for long enough, we can get a large enough lead to win comfortably. OTTO KIRA decided to remind me that he is still in the game. With a single solo attack, he banished my army from the Mine. "Nooooo!!" Now we have to protect Rudi's mine no matter the cost. I rushed to coordinate support for him. [Dau] made multiple rallies. They were ready to strike back and narrow the gap.

The next few minutes will decide the end result of the match. The first attack on Rudi failed. It was just a spy attack, however. The strong attacks will start now. Then I saw something in the report that made me stare at the screen for a few seconds. Rudi has not set his account properly; this is not his first lineup. In fact, all his stats are wrong...
Why now? All this time, both of us had not noticed it. He was one of the few players that joined the match late. It is frustrating to see. All this work and we could lose the match at the last second. Memories of the arena of honor match where we lost in the last second flashed in my mind. Not again...
Chapter 9: A Ray of Hope

As I sat in silence I realized something. Both their top spear players were stuck in buildings! I am free to attack the other buildings! With renewed vigor, I quickly began scanning the map. The very moment I focused on the Targaryen port, I saw No Fear's attack landing and causing severe damage. [Dau] watched helplessly as I brute forced my way into the port! We have a chance at getting crucial points!

The very next moment, Nomad captured the Tower of the Mother. Our relentless attacks have finally borne fruit! We have to fight hard to hold these buildings. As soon as OTTO KIRA is free, he will attack us everywhere. We have to make as many points as possible until then!
Chapter 10: Fight to the End

Then I realized something too late. Their cavalry player is free; he hit Rudi hard. Due to the lack of good commanders, Rudi's defense failed within three attacks. However, we have already mined 5,000 points. I began sending instructions to the other players to attack the enemy player cities. We need to get every point we can from them. Luckily [Dau] has not found time to take points from our cities.
For the next few minutes, we fought very hard for the ports. They were able to take them back from us and narrow the gap to just 3000 points. My heart is pounding as I see them narrow the gap. They can fairly easily take points from us. We have 6,000 points for them to take. What I had feared might happen...

OMG! What a match! We won by just 1200 points. [Dau] has failed to take enough points from our castles. Another two minutes and we would have lost the match. They failed to take 6000 points from us. Perhaps they did not know. What a match. I am so exhausted from all the fighting. Our first victory has cost us so much. At least we won, lol.
Chapter 11: Victory!

We still have many things to change. But I am happy with the result. We fought hard and refused to give up despite many setbacks. It was a hard-fought victory. However, I did not let it blind us. We need to improve on coordination. Our rallies are fairly weak. We need to send more than two rallies together. Three or four. They would have won if they decided to take the 6000 points from us. We need to improve. Perhaps we will get a chance next match.
