Victory at Any Cost - Arena of Honor Season 5 Round 8

As the Spring has fully settled in Westeros, the Arena of Honor's Season 5 is going past it's mid, now heading towards the 8th round. After a disappointing solo queue round, [N0X] Shado did everything in his power to secure a spot in a decent team and towards the end of the 2 weeks between the rounds he did manage to find a team formed from [N0X] members and members from other alliances. Feeling more confident now, he did a few last minute preparations and then he took his commanders, army and dragons and went to the Arena of Honor battlefield to meet with his team. Once he arrived there, they all signed the required papers, the team got registered by ChAoS and everyone stepped aside with a beverage to wait for the matchmaking.

As the matchmaking only takes a few minutes it didn't take long for the battlefield doors to open and every team stepped inside to see for which House they'll fight in this round. Shado's team was chosen by House Targaryen for this round and they all head to the South-West forests of the battlefield close to the scorching southern desert, where the House Targaryen's Clan Castle is located. Once they arrived there everyone set their camps, and last-minute strategies were put in place tailored for the enemies they got in this round. Shado also decided to do a quick inspection on the other houses and see exactly what they're up to in this round.

It was looking like both the Starks and Lannister's invited strong teams on the battlefield with strong rally leaders so despite having a very strong team, the round was announcing full of danger for Shado. However, time for strategies was done quickly as the horn signaling the start of the battle was heard on the battlefield and every warrior rushed to occupy and reinforce them as quickly as possible to start the points generation. Once the strongholds were fully occupied, it was time for the construction to start, and the order was given quickly by the team's commander.

Military Camps

As the team was looking for a win in this round, the decision to go with military camps was taken by the team's commander and everyone agreed with it, then the constructors proceeded to fulfill the task it was given to them. The constructions were done just in time as the altars started opening and the fight was about to get intense. Beside reinforcing the stronger warriors on his team, Shado was also assigned to do solo attacks on enemy altars and that's what he did.

The first target Shado found was a very easy one so he managed to quickly take the altar back, but the other altars were hiding dangers as the other warriors on the battlefield started reinforcing each other in the altars so Shado's solos might not be enough to kick them out. After solving the altars problems Shado and the team head their attention towards the dragonpits as they were in danger of being taken by the enemies too.

There was so much fighting all over the battlefield that warriors had no break between the attacks, all they could do was heal their troops and head back on the battlefield, and there was about to be even more fighting as City of Glory was about to drop its protection bubble and open for attacks.

Everyone on the battlefield knew how important the City of Glory is for the economy of this fight so as soon as the bubble dropped, they launched devasting solos in an attempt to take the city and hold'it till the end of the fight. ChAoS decided to take the lead for House Targaryen, and everyone reinforced as quickly as possible as the attack rallies were already being prepared.A total of 4 rallies were being brewed by the House Lannister and House Stark and defending the City of Glory was announcing to be very hard. Once the rallies arrived near the City of Glory the earth started trembling under their march, about 25 million troops let by extraordinary commanders were about to hit the city and Arthurion only had around 10 million to defend with.

ChAoS fought valiantly and despite being heavily outnumbered he managed to deal swiftly with the 4 rallies sent by the House Lannister and House Stark. The rallies however didn't stop there and within minutes a new wave of rallies was already heading towards the City of Glory. A back-and-forth battle took place for most of the round between the reinforcements coming from House Targaryen and the rallies that kept coming from the other 2 houses. At the end House Targaryen managed to emerge victorious on the battle for the City of Glory mainly due to ChAoS fighting valiantly and the reinforcements coming exactly at the right time.

Excellent round for Shado, as he managed to get 42 fame points and a lot of other rewards. However, he was invited to the team only for this round, so now he's homeless once again, will he be able to find a more permanent team in the future? Remains to be seen. See you on the battlefield!
