======================================================

The seasons kept changing. Winter's AoW and GB had settled, and somewhere far on the North spring was already whispering it's return. And with it's return Siege of Winterfell battlefields were opening once more, declaring the new season has been opened.

Who will become the champion? Will it be proud [BDR]? The flawless [NBe]? Royal [RoD]? Or maybe a dark horse none was expecting...

Meanwhile it was already mid season for [N0X] and their fifth battle of the season. By now they experienced both failure and a victory and were in all arms once again. This time [N0X] were matched against [tSB], TheSlavsBlood alliance wasn't an alliance you would consider being on top of the rankings, yet they were a close match to [N0X] with only 3M score difference.

Beside majority of members having a good experience in RTS battles - preparations were made and all members got instructed what their goal is, as well as what team to follow and which shot caller to listen. Shot callers are an important people that boost morale and provide the communication between all the armies of the battlefield, they always look at the battlefield from the above and aim to be few steps a head of the opponent.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The Odds --------------------------------------------------------------------------

When the gates opened, the truth laid bare:

-[N0X]: 92 warriors.

-[tSB]: 80 warriors.

The numbers in battles mean a lot - this time [N0X] had a huge advantage in 12 warriors difference = 36 marches more on the allied side! This is enough to secure a whole building, or a freshly introduced Dragons that are migrating around the map!

Our shot callers voiced one thing - Move in groups, kill the smallest marches and most importantly RUN.

The horns blew. Winterfell trees has shivered and the season’s fourth battle has began.

---------------------------------------------------------------------- The First Captures -----------------------------------------------------------------------

Alex was assigned into a Hotspring team. Nothing new here, he always liked the right side of the map with the Hotsprings more than the sad and lone looking Armory on the left. His assigned shot caller was Scythe, the queen and a leader of Noxians. Simply hearing her sweet voice usually made the warriors fight fierce fully and even shed rivers of blood on the bright side of Hotsprings.

Both alliances army's were sprinting to the assigned buildings as fast as they could, yet there was one exceptional warrior that specifically held too much knowledge in his achieves - HotepRa. It felt like his cavalry was a friend with the wind itself. Meanwhile Alex's spears were marching much slowly - he ahs a lot of work to do in increasing the marching speed of his army's, though he might consider befriending a wind.. it might give an exceptional results!

All in all [N0X] Hotspring teams didn't give [tSB] even a chance and captured the springs side flawlessly after what innated a first big fight.

Such fights quite often determine who will have a full control over that side of the map. Yet if someone would thought to pull all the forces into one side and crash it - there is another side that you need to balance out as well to get in lead by points!

few minutes into the battle and many wounded soldiers were healed and sent back on the fighting track again. Very soon Strongholds are opening and it's important to control as many as you can to be able to teleport on them from the base and to deny an opponent army's sending a reinforcements this exact way.

Both Hotspring as well as Armory seemed secured and under control of fierce Noxians so the fights were moved into all 4 Strongholds and occasional Outposts. Of course [N0X] took tactical advantage, and after taking over both Armory and Hotspring they managed to push most of the fights onto an opponents side of the map going offensive yet leaving a bit warriors behind on duty to defend the buildings. Quite often securing your buildings in back puts a moral pressure on the opponent warriors, as they see that there is defenses up everywhere and feel like nothing can be captured.

5 minutes into the battle and the point score was completely flipped from the initial one.

------------------------------------------------------------------ The Dragons Arrival -----------------------------------------------------------

2 Beacons of light, one red and the other blue were lighted up. You could hear the dragon roar's int he sky as those big lizards were ready to lend and help with points and army buffs of either alliance that is worth it's attention.

Both alliance's by now knew how important these lizards are so shot callers redirected some of their warriors to go fight for it!

While one another shot caller, Waffles, commanded the dragon migration - Scy's snowflake voice kept care of the rest of Hotspring side buildings and brave warriors under her command.

Noxians took control of the Spring side Dragon first and started escorting it to their base, wondering if this lizard ever bites. Someone jokingly mentioned - if it is bites - it better bite [tSB], their blood should be tastier!

By it's way to the base [tSB] kept fighting over the Dragon and each attempt was unsuccessful, meanwhile the creature kept dropping it's gold gifts.

When both parties realised that the Dragons will be successfully escorted to [N0X] base, everyone once again switched to the fights for Strongholds and Outposts.

[N0X] were going strong, could they keep up the pace and save this spirit for the next 45 minutes?

------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Map Control ------------------------------------------------------------------------------

10 more minutes into the battle and both alliances doubled their scores.

By now it was pretty obvious that Noxians will emerge victorious, yet will [tSB] get their total of 20k points for the rewards?

Majority of the fights were moved to just one or two buildings so [tSB] could concentrate all their core at one place and strike like a metal fist. They were aware about the loss, yet it's in their blood to never give up and so they kept fighting!

Alex was smart and cracked the strategy [tSB] took and decided to adjust, because if nothing happening on one side of the map - there is a fight at another, you simply need to look! So he abandoned the Hotspring side and marched towards the Outpost of the heavy Armory side. He got some kills and got some wounds, and when the fight was over he called the army's to it's base, reconstructed them and sent on the teleport to the closest fight.

This time it was an interception of [tSB] army's that he found sneaking through Strongholds and main line of defenses.

They were aiming to sneak out the dragon, or some backline captures. Yet gladly shot callers reacted in time:

- We need people to come down from the Outpost!, Waffles said calmly, - We need some numbers on the Dragon!

Meanwhile Scy blessed the dead and commanded them to after resurrection go straight to opponent's side Stronghold and keep pushing [tSB] off of it. The morale of the still living was upped once again!

---------------------------------------------------------------------- The Last Countdown ---------------------------------------------------------------------

With 20 minutes on the clock left it didn't look like [tSB] are making it to 20k. Their blood was all over the battlefield yet most army's were only knocking on the gates of Outposts.

Meanwhile [N0X] secured the 80k points for maximum rewards.

It's a common practice in SoW to get to the enemy base and lock their marches down, eliminating and perishing everyone trying to break through such a "blockade". But not with [N0X]. Noxians have standards and always seen in an 'enemy' rather as an opponent who simply playing an event. Blockading an opponent would bring no joy and if someone wants to fight or get points - they will eventually come out. In other words base camping was strictly prohibited.

In such a manner the match has been finished and [N0X] emerged victorious!

So far it's a 3 wins and 2 loses for Noxians. Alex started wondering is there a chance to jump into the SoW Play-Offs to fight the strongest and best of a kind.. It would be an amazing opportunity to get even more rewards!

After such a win, his eyes were shining like pure diamonds.

--------------------------------------------- Author’s Afterword ---------------------------------------------------

As in any other 'Real Time Strategy' event - speed and reaction timing is above all. [N0X] knew it by default and were demonstarted many times losing to stronger alliances in the past.

Completely crushing an alliance of similar to yours power has proved that [N0X] has most of all - a clear communication skills which are by far the most important skill for the alliance to have.

For [tSB] it was a crushing defeat. Yet their blood was still like a strong river, floating through their veins, looking for more opportunities. It was a test endured because in defeat, they learned. In loss - they hardened.

=================================== The End ==================================

Thanks for reading and hope you fully enjoyed this crazy lizard SoW season!

Remember that in GoTWiC you are not only playing the game, sometimes you simply wish a lizard would bite someone's head of the people around you! →_→
