In this month’s KvK match-up, K440 was matched up against K109, the home base of the MAI alliance. It was obvious right from the get-go that this was going to be anything but a normal fight. As expected, however, we remained true to our strengths by concentrating on control, coordination, and speed.
We knew what we were doing, which is why we began the game by reinforcing King’s Landing as fast as possible while seizing as many Great Cities around the area as we could get hold of. Our strategy didn’t involve building up any form of defense; rather, it involved dominating the board through sheer point scoring until the opposition could organize themselves enough to retaliate.
Things went perfectly according to plan.
Our points were increasing hour after hour; millions were piling up with ease. There was an eerie silence about the battle zone because the enemy put up virtually no fight; rather, they preferred farming over fighting. It made us feel in control, probably a little too confident.
However, all these did not mean that we became complacent.
Babyrossa and Red Corner were ready, poised like hunters, ready to spring into action at the first sign of an attack from the enemy side. They had their job cut out for them; if any of the enemy dared to show up, Babyrossa and Red Corner would attack immediately and mercilessly.
At the 3-4 hour mark, however, we had made immense progress in this effort, having accumulated an impressive 800 million points just by keeping the critical locations. The enemy was way behind in terms of points with their total standing around 550 million, giving us a significant lead of 250 million points.
Victory was beginning to seem close enough.
We saw no whales in this game. No rallies on the horizon, nor any resistance for that matter. Only silence.
That silence was misleading.
Certain players, who thought that the enemy couldn’t pose any threat anymore due to lack of strength, went offline, feeling rather complacent.
It didn’t take long for us to realize our mistake, but before we knew what was happening, a very strong player by the name of Toms from RoD had already taken our King’s Landing at K440. It wasn’t until then that he showed up right before our eyes in the most aggressive way possible.
He instantly soloed some of our T5 players and instantly deleted 1.6 billion troop power. The blow was massive and traumatized some of our members and they lost hope completely
This is not a generic attack from a random player.
This is something different.
A near-maxed cavalry player… quick, fierce, and lethal—powered by Brienne.
And that’s when the battle field became a battlefield.
The composition of his army comprised Brienne, Cassana, Senelle, Daenerys, and Cersei—an ideal cavalry formation, enhanced further by the commanders’ 4-star red weapons.

The enemy used a formation made with perfection. Within a few minutes a large portion of our T5s were killed, leaving only T4 and T3 troops to fight with. Babyrossa stepped up and decided to rally the enemy with his excellent spear lineup. Babryossa had both the counter and the perfect commander to rally cavalry players. He replaced Ayrmidon with Baelish, a deadly commander who can redirect the attacks of the female commanders into their own lineup, causing massive damage.
After waiting for a few minutes and ensuring that enough T5s and T4s could be sent to reinforce the rally, only then did Babyrossa start the rally. The first rally consisted of 5.8m troops, mostly T5s and T4s sent by members who haven't been zeroed yet. We were confident that our rally would deal a significant blow to the enemy's defenses even if Babyrossa's lord gets captured. Our rally marched towards the enemy castle, and Babyrossa's lord was captured. The rally lost over 200m troop power, and we received no battle report due to the annihilation of all troops in the march.

After some time and negotiation with the enemy, Toms has agreed to share the battle report and let us see what actually happened. We were surprised to see that the enemy had lost only 36 million in power, and its core strength was completely unaffected. All our troops were annihilated by the female commander's powerful active army skills, which were further enhanced by 4*- 5* golden advisors and 4 star red weapons.

After some time Babyrossa's lord was revived, as he had to drink poison to revive his lord earlier, or else he would have had to wait for 6 long hours, and in the meantime the enemy would have scored huge amounts of points. After reviving the lord, Babyrossa decided to rally again with the hope of killing most of the remaining troops since the enemy no longer had a meat shield. to cushion the attack.
Soon the war horns were blown to signal the declaration of the second rally. This time the rally had over 6 million troops, and 1.9 million were T5 soldiers. We were confident that this rally would deal a significant blow to the enemy's defenses and demolish the core strength. The 2-second rally marched towards the enemy castle and BOOM.
The enemy didn't lose anything, but we lost lord again, and our entire march was annihilated. Despite having many T5s, we still couldn't reach his T5s at the back line. Our second rally lost ober 180m in troop power, and again we got no report.

After some time, Toms decided to share the report so we can see it and understand what had happened. To our surprise, our second rally, even with 6.1 million troops, killed only 5 THOUSAND T1 TROOPS. Yes, 5 THOUSAND T1s. We were horrified to see it.

After each of us reviewed the report several times, we understood what went wrong in all the battles. It wasn't Danaerys or Cersei casting their active army skill or using war soul awakening, but it was Cassana that initialized the active army skill of all commanders at the very beginning of the battle and reduced the cooldown of all commanders' active army skills by 3 seconds, allowing frequent attacks and more damage.
1st rally:

2nd rally:

After a long and brutal fight with many defeats, we decided to bubble up and wait for them to go offline, and we will start taking the great cities back with the hope of closing the gap, since the enemies were already well ahead of us by 500 million points. One of the RI1 members, who is also a trap castle, decided to unbubble himself and test his decisions, but it was a bad decision. Toms saw it right at that moment and launched a solo attack without scouting or checking the size of the castle. Toms's army marches slowly in order to see if our ally reacts and bubbles up; our ally showed no response and waited calmly for the enemy's attack to land on his castle. The attack was brutal, and the losses for the enemy were almost negligible. On the other hand, our ally lost over 500m troop power and was reset to 350m power.

Our teammate was horrified to see the attack and bubble instantly in order to not lose any resources, which can be used to train troops back.
Soon, the enemy went offline and switched to farming gear to gather resources. In the meantime, we reinforced the great cities with our remaining troops with the goal of closing the gap as much as possible before the enemies come back online. By the next 6 hours we scored over 1 billion points by farming and garrisoning great cities, but sadly Toms came back online and took the great cities back, but luckily we retreated on time and hid all troops well, preventing further casualties.
By the time of reset, we had scored a decent 1.9 billion points by farming overnight, but the enemy still had scored 2.3 billion points. With better teamwork, coordination and effort, we could have closed the gap and overcame their score but it wasn't possible.
Even the strongest start and biggest lead can fall apart without vigilance—because in battle, overconfidence is often more dangerous than the enemy.
Victory isn’t decided by how well you begin but by how well you endure. We scored billions and fought hard, but a single moment of underestimating the enemy cost us everything.
Never mistake silence for weakness.
Thank you and see you next time :D
