Battle against the time - Siege of Winterfell Season 17 Round 5 - [N0X] vs [tSB]

As the Season 17 of Siege of Winterfell is approaching its end, ahead of Round 5, the [N0X] chances to qualify to the playoffs are quite slim with them being 2 wins 2 loses. They managed to win against [TIS] and [6NK] but lost against [RRH] and [IiI]. While the loss against [RRH] was somehow expected with them being stronger than [N0X] the loss against [IiI] really stung their morale as they were really close to winning the match and keeping way higher chances to qualify. But what's done is done and can't be undone so they have to let that loss go and focus on the last 2 rounds in hopes that getting 2 wins will be enough for playoffs. Right after round 4 the [N0X] leadership had a meeting to discuss what went wrong, what went good in the round 4 and how they can improve for the remaining rounds and even next season so loses like that one against [IiI] won't happen again. They discussed and discussed for almost 2 days before getting to an agreement on what to change in the strategies and how to split their warriors based on objectives. Once the strategies were done, Scythe, the queen of [N0X] registered the alliance for the upcoming fight and despite rankings not announcing a very strong opponent, the fact that they needed to win at the biggest points difference kept everyone waiting on their toes for the midnight announcement as in Westeros you never know what alliances do, some change the timeslot they play some go to Essos for drinks. At exactly midnight on Wednesday, the Old Gods did the matchmaking and sent a mail to all the alliances.

Odds decided that [N0X] will get an opponent apparently weaker for the first time, at least on paper, the difference in alliance power and score was decently big, but they were managing to bring 80+ warriors for the past fights and as you know, while the power difference matters a lot in Siege of Winterfell, the numbers are very important as well. After seeing their opponent, [N0X] leadership did a few changes in the strategies to match the opponent and decided that they will execute the new strategy developed in the days after the round 4. That took most of the day and it was now Wednesday evening and the time for them to head to the Siege of Winterfell battlefield. The warriors took their most trained troops, their best commanders and dragons and started marching towards the battlefield and once they arrived there, as it was 18:30 already, they started entering the battlefield.

Tens of millions of troops were entering the battlefield, making it tremble under their march and once everyone entered, with only a few seconds left before the start of the fight, the numbers were as expected, high for both alliances, [N0X] manned up and went above 90 people on the battlefield and that gave them quite a signifiant advantage on the battlefield, but as they needed to win as highly as possible, everyone was focused and ready for the battle.

Hot Springs Fighting

As soon as the battle opened everyone rushed towards their assigned base with the terrific duo Shado and Ladyknight heading once again towards the south-east of the battlefield in their quest to conquer the Hot-Springs. Once they arrived there, they noticed there were already so many warriors on both sides preparing to engage into a fight of epic proportions. Tens of millions of troops started colliding into each other, the earth was trembling under their charges and there were soldiers falling on both sides under valyrian steel weapons slashes, so many that the floor was quickly covered in bodies and the hot springs started turning red from the blood dripping into it. It was a back-and-forth battle, sometimes the [N0X] forces were in numbers advantage, then suddenly [tSB] warriors were popping out of nowhere and tip the balance for them, and then it was [N0X] time to push back. As the time passed, [N0X] warriors were managing to assert some domination on the battlefield and with a huge effort and a lot of lost troops they were managing, slowly but surely to push [tSB] towards their base.

Dragons

While the bases were sorta under control, the dragons started spawning on both sides of the battlefield and the first sets of dragon's spawn very closely of their respective base so [N0X] was going to have a very hard time taking them all quickly and they really needed to do that. Not wanting to give up [tSB] was pushing strong for the dragons and battles of epic proportions took place for each of them, with [N0X] managing to get most of them but [tSB] were managing to sneak some under the radar. As the battle continued, [N0X] started doing surgical strikes on enemy strongholds to stop them from teleporting quickly on the battlefield and those strikes created quite an unbalance on battlefield that ultimately tipped the scales in [N0X] favor, and their lead grew bigger and bigger as the battle progressed.

Thru a lot of dedication and hard work, [N0X] managed to get the maximum ranking points for this win, and they keep their chance at qualifying for the Ultimate Conquest. In order to do that, they have to be even more prepared as the last round will be surely even harder than this one. Will they be able to win and maybe qualify or they'll fall a bit short?
