The battle in Westeros continued unabated, with few alliances worthy of qualifying for the SoW playoffs, an important goal for each of them.

WxD, one of these alliances, whose ambition to be recognized as one of the best alliances in the kingdom was leading them into a season that was nothing short of exciting. After a good start to the season, they had fought some great battles. So far, they had three wins. The last three matches of the season would be decisive for them: either qualify for the playoffs among the twelve best alliances in the kingdom or be eliminated and excluded from the list of the best in Westeros.

Arriving today to play the third round, Vlodek and his teammates couldn't wait to find out who their next opponent would be. “I doubt it will be an easy match,” said Vlodek. “I agree, at this point in the season, whoever the opponent is will give us a hard time,” replied Thieff.

As the final preparations were being made, the shadow of their rival could be seen on the horizon. Their flags and banners, visible from miles away, were raised proudly. The army struck fear into the hearts of the members of the WxD.

It was AAO

It was a high-level alliance, which had also reached this point in the season with the ambition of qualifying for the SoW playoffs. Led by members of undoubted ability such as coritani, nataS, and GOWL JNR, who were gifted with great strategic skills, they had led their alliance to unexpected victories up to that point. Today, they found themselves facing a powerful alliance led by Vlodek and his companions, who were ready to give their all to avoid having to say goodbye to their dreams of glory. The loser would have very little chance in the last two rounds of the season.

“We must prepare for anything,” Azuraz began to her companions. “They will give their all on the battlefield, and we must do the same.” There was a certain fear in her voice: she wanted her allies to understand the importance of the match, but she also knew it would not be easy.

Vlodek, who didn't need to be reminded how crucial victory was, was preparing for battle. His high-level Spears had made him one of the driving forces behind the alliance in previous matches, and today he would once again rely on them to make a positive impact on the match.

The sky was dark and threatening above their heads, dark clouds on the horizon charged with electricity and rain advancing inexorably toward the battlefield. A storm was coming, along with the imminent start of the battle. The air was tense among the members of both alliances: there was no room for idle talk. Every warrior understood the gravity of the moment and wanted to stay focused.

At the start of the match between the two factions, both opted for the same strategy: to divide themselves equally between Armory and HotSprings. The equal distribution of troops by the two alliances led to fierce battles at both locations at the start of the match.

In Armory, the armies led by Banana and Starwberry gradually gained numerical superiority, defeating one rival after another. The members of WxD seemed to be in great shape today, eventually gaining possession of Armory with its buff after a tough battle. This was a significant milestone for the overall progress of the match.

“Excellent work!” exclaimed the leaders commanding the western part of the battlefield.

Meanwhile, to the east, bzzb's group also managed to prevail over their rivals as the minutes ticked by. The battle had started in the best possible way for Wxd, who now found themselves in command of both of the most coveted buildings at the start of the match.

“We're doing better than expected,” thought Vlodek, who had not expected such quick conquests at the dawn of the battle.

“Now, without giving them any respite, let's go and face them in Greyjoy1 Stronghold,” Banana called out, urging his companions to advance. Isolating their rivals from the vicinity of Winterfell was crucial in these clashes, and without wasting any time, he wanted to achieve this goal as well.

Vlodek and his companions' advance encounters an unexpected surprise!

The AAO forces gathered in the stronghold with the intention of defending it tooth and nail so as not to be cut off from the road to dragons. nataS and his companions were known for not being an alliance that gave up too easily, quite the contrary!

The resilience of AAO and the offensive strength of WxD staged a battle to the death in the stronghold, with neither alliance willing to give an inch. As the minutes passed and reinforcements arrived from the east side of the battlefield, where bzzb's group managed to prevail over their rivals thanks to AAO's strong concentration in the stronghold, the tide of battle turned. WxD's superiority became increasingly clear, allowing them to take definitive control of the position and repel their rivals!

However, AAO implemented a strategic retreat! 

“We can't let them achieve this, we have to conquer the dragons,” exclaimed Vlodek before going on the attack with his allies.

What happened in Winter Ice Dragon was incredible!

The WxD army that arrived in large numbers to conquer it was actually outnumbered by its rivals, who, when the coveted dragon opened, managed to escorted it and grab the rewards!

But it wasn't all plain sailing for AAO...

The great desire to obtain the buffs was a double-edged sword, as the turnout required to counter WxD meant that natoS and his companions were unable to stop their rivals from advancing. 

“They still have Greyjoy2 Stronghold in their hands, let's push to capture it,” was the plan devised by the WxD leaders, who wanted to create a wall between dragons and the AAO base so they could continue to conquer the loot undisturbed. 

Having achieved a massive victory, Vlodekk and his companions once again found themselves fighting against a powerful enemy presence. The battle was far from over for AAO. However, the arrival of reinforcements from Base after WxD's second conquest significantly shifted the balance of power in the stronghold.

nataS and his companions were spotted near Flaming Sun Dragon, where the next dragon would be available at any moment! This alerted Vlodek and his companions, as a large crowd there could compromise their capture of the loot.

“Let's go to this dragon!” Banana called to charge after consulting with his leadership. A no-holds-barred battle was on the horizon, and winning it could mean irrevocably turning the match in their favor. 

As predicted by the WxD leadership, Vlodek and his companions encountered an incredible influx of enemies. However, AAO's attempt was successful once again, despite their attempts to intercept the conquest of the dragon. Their strategy of obtaining their possessions was paying off in terms of personal rewards for the alliance's fighters. WxD's strategy of capturing the dragon and holding onto their positions was giving them victory in the match minute by minute.

The match effectively came to a mathematical end with the conquest of the dragons loot. Vlodek and his allies had no choice but to target the individual targets scattered across the battlefield. Although AAO managed to put their opponents in trouble, perhaps this strategy was not the winning one, as it left WxD free to gain a big advantage in terms of points.

At the end of the 60-minute battle, the winner of the third round of the season was... WxD!

“We played a good game,” began the members of the WxD leadership, “the strategy devised by our rivals did not pay off for them, but they showed that even in matches where you start at a disadvantage, you can still make your mark with high-level teamwork. We must take note of this for the remaining matches of the season!” they concluded before returning to their kingdom. 

“They fought very well,” he said to his ally Azuraz. “It's true, I have to admit, but luckily with the wrong strategy,” she replied during the march to home.

And so the third round of the season came to an end. Third more matches remained to decide which alliances would be worthy of going to the playoffs. Will WxD be one of them and, more importantly, who will be their next rival? We'll find out together!
