The anniversary event is underway, where players must complete multiple missions over the course of a month across ten realms of their choice to earn various rewards, including a castle skin for use in Siege of Winterfell, as well as Amethyst. Chayle began to see what she could get with this mineral and headed to the shop. Among the items he could trade for was Seg’s weapon, Hammer of Calimity. Although he didn’t use that commander in his infantry formation, the weapon might come in handy. It’s something most players have to deal with: fighting with synergy—which is the foundation of any good attack—but the weapons often don’t match the commanders being used.

After finalizing his purchase plan with the amethyst he would obtain, he checked if he had any reforge ore to secure essential stats for his build once he acquired the weapon. He didn’t have enough—in fact, he had almost none. But there was a way to start gathering it: participating in his alliance’s Lost Realm event, something he had stopped doing long ago since his weapons were already well-reforged.

That week, in AV0, his alliance would be hosting that event, Endless Abyss, which takes place once a month to maintain alliance rewards. The last time he participated, he achieved a good rank in healing, placing in the top five, and in the resilience rank, he at least made the top ten. Since he needed more stones this time, he wanted to aim for a higher spot.

The event began, and the first boss to defeat was the Dragon Priest. Following her usual strategy, she sent in just one army to start supporting her teammates, but this time she focused more on healing the tank, Ganicus, than anything else. Since her troops were T5, they earned more points. Many of her teammates still had T4 troops, and distinguishing them in the crowd was more difficult. As expected, within a few minutes she began to rank in the top three of that leaderboard, and upon seeing this, she also began granting resilience to her teammates, this time randomly, to start earning points in that leaderboard.

As for the other two rankings—damage dealt and damage taken—she knew there was little she could do, since there were teammates much stronger than her, and some would deliberately stay within the Boss’s range to take the hit and then heal themselves. It was something she could do, but she preferred to focus solely on two of the four rankings to achieve good results rather than spread herself thin across all of them and get less.

Dragon Urrax, the second boss to defeat, had to make a decision. Which rank should she aim for to become number one? She weighed the options for both and chose the resilience rank. Since there didn’t seem to be much competition, and it hadn’t taken much effort so far to reach the top five. So throughout this battle, she focused more on that than on healing, which allowed her to reach number one, maintaining a significant lead over those behind her, holding it until Urrax collapsed after being defeated.

This, however, had a consequence: in the healing rank, she was below the top five. Fortunately for her, Dragon Warlock appeared—a boss who unleashes a radial attack, affecting many. At that point in the event, she knew that many of her teammates were no longer paying attention, and those hit by the attack were badly affected, so healing was easy, but she would have to remember which of them had T5 troops. Or, she could stick to what she did at the start: simply heal Ganicus, while always keeping an eye on the rankings. Just as she thought, that boss’s attack left many wounded and some dead. When some ran for cover, they were also hit by the delayed reaction, at which point she took the opportunity to heal those she knew had T5 troops in their armies.

The sequence was repetitive between attacks; she just had to stay alert to heal the right person, since other teammates also shared her goal of finishing in the top three.

Seeing that she was back in the top three, she checked the resilience rank and found she was still in first place, but with a teammate hot on her heels. She checked her remaining resources and used them to maintain her position, leaving the healing rank to chance. She preferred to have first place secured. The resources ran out several minutes before the event ended. In the fourth battle, Dragon Warlock had appeared again; just to take damage, she left her troops within range of the attacks until they were eliminated, since there wasn’t much else she could do.

When the event ended, he received the first-place rewards for resilience and top three for healing. The plan had worked, as had his decisions; now he had to wait to obtain the weapon to use the stones, though he also knew he needed to get more of them to achieve a good base attack—which, according to his estimates, he wouldn’t have enough for.
