The Arena of Honor match played a few days ago was a mixed success for them

Neik’s team managed to secure a hard fought second place finish against some truly top-tier rivals, thereby earning spots in their personal rankings along with rewards for the battle all in all, a solid achievement for them.

The highly anticipated Siege of Winterfell season was drawing ever closer for HOH; they were obligated to try to qualify for its playoffs after having succeeded in Alliance Conquest, and the alliance members were now focused solely on the first match, which would take place very soon.

But before they could think about that, a dangerous adventure was already at their doorstep, demanding their utmost commitment. K345 had to face a formidable rival, and it was up to the bravest fighters to succeed in a nearly impossible feat.

It had arrived among us…

Invasion of the Night King!

Every member of the realm was required to cooperate fully in order to defeat the Night King, and his troops had no choice but to do so if they did not want to be overwhelmed by the enemy, who were advancing ever more dangerously south of the Wall with Winterfell in their sights.

Gathered outside the castle walls, Neik flanked by his loyal HOH allies, including Ferrious, LadyOfThorns, Rayana, and LexxA was preparing to face his bitter rival. “During the last invasion, we had the decisive support of BloodWick, who has since parted ways with K345; we’ll have to manage without him,” said Neik, emphasizing how much they would miss their ally. 

From that point on, however, his combat prowess skyrocketed, and his companions relied on his fighting skills, confident that they would be able to eliminate every last intruder who had made it south of the barrier.

“I’ll try to attack on my own, since organizing a coordinated strike against the enemy would take too long,” said the HOH member.

“Alright, we’ll try to strike him by joining forces from a safe distance to avoid any unpleasant surprises,” replied LadyOfThrons, referring to possible invaders in the realm who were just waiting to find their targets with their defenses down. To prevent this, the group would have to stay just outside Winterfell to maintain the protective bubble that would shield their city.

The battle was just seconds away from beginning. The group’s goal was to be among the kingdoms that could defeat the enemy the fastest, attempting to beat the time of 1:08:48 from the last time, which had ranked them 32nd among the top kingdoms; it would be a race against time. Meanwhile, the snow in the north fell relentlessly; the full force of winter was taking its toll on the lined-up fighters, who tried to warm themselves by rubbing their hands together and blowing into them as they waited for the hour to come.

As soon as the target was within range, Neik immediately launched an assault on the Night King’s troops, striking them with unprecedented ferocity, and… The blow dealt to the outsiders was extremely effective; the HOH member’s Weakness-Spear formation, with its 1.7 million troops assaulting a full 22 million outsiders, resulted in 5.5 million casualties among the target’s troops!

To ensure it wasn’t just a lucky strike, a second attack was launched, and this one also caused a significant loss of troops for the Night King!

Realizing the state of his army, Neik began relentlessly striking the rival troops, annihilating hordes of undead in one attack after another!

The first few minutes began to tick by in the heat of battle when LadyOfThrons delivered news that left all the members speechless: “There are already five kingdoms that have eliminated the Night King’s troops!” It came as a shock to K345’s group to hear those words. Five kingdoms had already managed to do so in just over 10 minutes, which clearly highlighted the gap between them where, in their case, the task was still far from complete.

“Let’s roll up our sleeves; we definitely have to do our best if we want to at least match the results of the last invasion,” Neik rallied his allies, trying to spur them on to achieve this personal goal they had set for themselves. 

Rallies

LadyOfThrones, to maximize her assistance during the individual attacks launched by Neik, decided to start organizing rallies in an attempt to kill as many troops as possible; facing the target in large numbers would make everything much easier.

When the assault reached its destination, it struck the Night King’s troops, causing nearly 3 million casualties which was, all things considered, a good result. 

“Why don’t you try launching one yourself?” his comrades suggested to Neik. Under his leadership and with control of a large number of troops, the casualties inflicted on the target could have been extremely high. “All right, let’s give it a try,” he replied.

When the attack hit its mark… The number of casualties was a staggering 11 million! Although it seemed like a truly enormous number, the time it took to reach the target and gather the troops was far greater than what he would have spent on individual attacks of his own; in this race against time, it simply wasn’t worth it. “Let’s stick to the original strategy,” Neik said after the attempt, urging LadyOfThrons to continue gathering the allied troops to strike the rival from multiple fronts. 

With nearly half of the enemy forces already defeated, K345 was well on its way to victory. Thanks to Neik’s fierce individual attacks and the simultaneous mobilization of troops by LadyOfThrons, who was leading her allies’ forces, the group had now defeated the rival T5 units their most formidable foes. From here on out, things would be much easier for them.

But…

News arrived from the other kingdoms that was not very encouraging for them: as many as 39 had managed to annihilate the Night King’s troops within 45 minutes, a result that clearly demonstrated how much the kingdoms and their inhabitants had grown in terms of combat prowess, since in the last invasion, when K345 managed to defeat the troops in 1 hour and 8 minutes, it had placed them 32nd in the rankings.

“We knew that without BloodWick, it would be a challenge just to match that result,” Neik said regretfully, accepting that perhaps the growth in their kingdom hadn’t been as exponential as in their rivals’.

“Let’s focus on finishing in the best possible position,” Ferrious said to rally the troops after a moment of discouragement.

Rest of the fight

With their original objective now out of reach, the HOH members had no choice but to wipe out every last enemy soldier to at least secure the valuable rewards that defeating the Night King within the first 24 hours would have guaranteed them a feat that was truly simple for fighters of their caliber.

Attack after attack, the target was increasingly defenseless; now even running low on T4, the blows grew ever more violent, causing a very high number of casualties.

And when the battle had just passed the 60-minute mark… the Night King was defeated with the final blow landed by Neik!

K345’s time was a full 1 hour, 14 minutes, and 51 seconds.

The stark contrast between them and the top-ranked teams, who finished in just over 10 minutes, was something to ponder; however, their cautious approach, aimed at avoiding surprises like invasions of their kingdom by formidable rivals just waiting for an opportunity, could only lead to results like these.

“Although we failed to meet our set goal, which was merely a personal milestone for us, we were still able to defeat the rival troops in less than 24 hours. Thanks to that, we secured the best rewards the event had to offer,” said Ferrious, reminding them that what they had hoped for would not have guaranteed them anything more.

“You’re right, and being careful not to get ambushed was crucial with the arrival of Siege of Winterfell; losing our troops at a time like this could have been a major blow,” replied Neik.

Another fierce battle was now behind them, and the near future held many more in store for them! What will be the next adventure for Neik and his companions? We’ll find out soon together!
