Welcome Lords and Ladies to the sixth round of Arena of Honor in our fifth and most exciting season yet! Tonight, we have the Lone Wolf Moshow2 making his return to the arena, his season has been disappointing so far but we all remember the streak he had at the end of last season. Is this the start of the Lone Wolf’s streak in season 5 or was last season just a fluke?

Moshow2’s only win of the season so far came off the back of his famous Trading Posts strategy, “this season has shown me that most teams prefer offensive strongholds rather than Trading Posts, perhaps we can replicate my only win of the season,” Moshow2 suggested that their main rivals would be too busy fighting for Altars of the Warrior, leaving the precious Altars of the Maiden for his team.

Radzik44 liked Moshow2’s plan but wanted to make some additions, “if our main rivals will be making offensive strongholds perhaps, we should make the first line of strongholds Trading Posts and the second line as offensive to cover our clan castle,” radzik44 had lost matches in the past with the loss of his clan castle and vowed it would never happen again.

As for the Arena of Honor, it starts with six teams who fight for objectives on the map, each objective provides a first capture amount and then points over time, the team with the most points at the end of the match wins.

Finally, the teams entered the arena and House Lannister seemed worried, “we are heavily cavalry based but I see House Targaryen possess the tools to cause problems for us,” radzik44 knew the Glory City was going to be a problem for House Lannister but there was still a long way to go and another could happen. As the strongholds opened it was House Stark and House Targaryen who went all in with offensive strongholds, the rest did a mixture of the two with House Lannister building Trading Posts in their first line. “Our clan castle should be safe once we build offensive strongholds in our second line and if we are lucky, we can also get ourselves the first capture points of the closest Watch Tower,” radzik44 was making defensive calls instead of pushing their strategy to its full limit, will this cost House Lannister in the future?

House Stark was led by the powerhouse Michael Lee, “strange that House Lannister chose Trading Posts, you don’t see those very often anymore, it looks like House Targaryen will be the main threat as they have also built infantry strongholds,” Michael Lee wasn’t worried about House Lannister, his main goal was to lead his team into the mid game without any problems.

Finally, we have the perceived main threat House Targaryen led by the noble Babyrossa, “there are no threats to our spears this match, the Glory City should be ours,” Babyrossa didn’t care about the strategies of other teams, he knew the Glory City was the main win condition for his team but the Trading Posts of House Lannister went unnoticed by House Targaryen.

As the first fifteen minutes passed by, it was House Stark and House Targaryen who took a Watch Tower each but unfortunately for House Lannister their strongholds failed to defeat the troops inside the Watch Tower on their side of the battlefield. “House Stark hold the lead, we built cavalry strongholds to counter the infantry ones from our rivals but it makes it harder to defeat the troops inside the Watch Tower that counter us,” Moshow2 looked confused, he didn’t see the benefit of making half Trading Posts with half offensive strongholds but he kept his disagreement inside for now.

The altars became the first point of contention, “House Stark and House Targaryen are attacking our Altars of the Warrior, we should repay them by taking their Altars of the Maiden,” Moshow2 knew it would be difficult to defend against so many spearmen warriors but if they were too busy trying to attack perhaps, they would be lacking in defense. “We have the lead but that can change, we need more Altars of the Warrior to take House Targaryen’s Watch Towers and begin our assault on the Dragonpits,” Michael Lee was content with his teams start so far but the real test would come with the opening of the Glory City. While the lead for House Stark was small it was slowly growing and it would be up to House Targaryen to claim what they deem to be rightfully theirs.

The Dragonpits became the next point of contention, “House Targaryen and House Stark are still fighting over altars, this is our chance to take the Dragonpits,” radzik44 saw an opening but the other Houses didn’t make it easy for them. “We are winning the Watch Tower battles, we have more Altars of the Warrior than House Targaryen, keep it up, I know the Dragonpits are available but this could push our lead,” Michael Lee wanted to block off House Targaryen from retaking their Watch Towers but he left the Dragonpits for House Lannister, which could be crucial in the future. In the end it was House Lannister that captured two Dragonpits with House Targaryen taking the other but it came with a cost as House Stark now had a 5k lead over House Targaryen and House Lannister only 2k behind second place.

The Glory City was now available and as predicted it was House Targaryen who made the first move, “the lack of infantry warriors on the battlefield makes this much easier and House Stark have no Dragonpits to cause us any problems in the Glory City,” Babyrossa sent his rally off first and took the Glory City with ease it would now be up to their rivals to dispatch them from the Glory City or accept House Targaryen is too powerful and fight for second place. “House Stark are ready to send their rally we should time it with theirs to give one of us the best chance to reset the Glory City,” radzik44 was already looking forward to the Mineshafts he knew they had no chance to defeat the spearmen inside the Glory City. “We will only get one chance at this with only 3 mins left until the Glory City is fully captured, if they take it, we will fall to second place with House Lannister breathing down our necks,” Michael Lee knew it was make or break for House Stark, if they lost the Glory City all his hard work would be for nothing. In the end both rallies crashed into the walls of the Glory City and with the help of the Dragonpit and his powerful spearmen, House Targaryen were able to withstand the onslaught and claim first place with the capture of the Glory City. “Our lead is 7k over House Stark, all we have to do is make sure they don’t get any Mineshafts and we take this win,” Babyrossa wanted his team to shift into defense mode and cruise to victory. Will this tactic of House Targaryen work or should they continue their aggressive nature which gave them the lead in the first place?

The plan for House Targaryen to deny House Stark any Mineshafts went well enough but it gave House Lannister an opening to take most of the Mineshafts and gain second place because of it. “House Targaryen really did us a favor, we are only 5k point behind them now with all those Mineshafts, we need to keep what we have and hope our Trading Posts will do the rest,” Moshow2 saw a win condition but had they left it too late in the match for it to matter. “We have to stop House Lannister, they have somehow gained enough points in a small amount of time to cause a problem, we left too many Altars of the Maiden open for them,” Babyrossa was surprised with the amount of points House Lannister had, he ordered his team to take the biggest number of points left on the battlefield which were the Dragonpits. The final rallies now head towards the Dragonpits, it was all or nothing for House Lannister, they needed to defend their Dragonpits while keeping their Altars of the Maiden secure. “We can’t defend all these structures, there are multiple rallies and solo attacks taking our buildings,” radzik44 watched as the rallies crashed against the Dragonpits and bounced off as a cheer erupted from their camp but their attention was taken away for long enough as multiple Altars of the Maiden had been taken by the enemy. In the end House Lannister kept their Dragonpits but the crucial Altars of the Maiden was the difference maker and with that House Targaryen had secured their win.

As the final minute ticked away House Lannister were content with their second-place finish, “I knew it was going to be tough, perhaps if we had gone all in with the Trading Posts it would have been even closer,” Moshow2 was still thinking about the beginning of the match but the Glory City was the main issue and he had no answers for that. “Only 8k points behind House Targaryen, we could have made a few changes to overcome that lead but we can be happy with the result,” radzik44 didn’t see the problem with their two-way strategy and took no notice of House Targaryen blocking House Stark in the Mineshaft phase.

On the other hand, House Targaryen celebrated their well-deserved win, “we crushed House Stark in the end but left the door open for House Lannister, I need to rethink that strategy when it comes to the Mineshafts but everything else went to plan,” Babyrossa was pleased with the result but was sweating at the end of the match due to how fast House Lannister was able to gain points.
