The second round of Season 5 is still a mystery. This season is still incomprehensible to me, and I hope that now I will finally understand everything.
I wrote about it here: https://forum.gtarcade.com/topic/252729
I already have a certain tactic in mind, now it's time to find the right team. This time, the alliance isn't looking for anything, maybe they're taking a break, so I decide to look for myself. First, two hours before the games – nothing interesting. An hour later – still nothing interesting. Half an hour left – an interesting player from RoD appears, and with the title cavlary – bingo, I think! Admittedly, betting on one formation is not always ideal, but at least you can count on a full rally, which has been a problem in the past. I join... the list of players, apart from two people from RoD, is not impressive, and I would even say average. Two players come with a warning that they are below the team average. But I think that might be a good thing, because we'll get weaker opponents.
We exchange tactics in the chat, I make my proposal, and we go in that direction. I decide that I will first capture our castle and then I should be able to take over the NPC castle without any problems, thanks to which we will gain valuable points and buildings. Everyone likes it, although only 3 people are responding, so it could go either way 😊
Checking that everything is set up correctly, checking that the weapons are definitely with the characters, because after the last update, things were a bit mixed. Registration... Matchmaking... and we're ready.
Gameplay:
A quick run across the map and I see that it's not going to be as easy as I thought. Even though we have a few weaker players, that's not necessarily the case with our opponents. Well, but in the end, we have two people from RoD, so I think it will be an easy win 😊
The teams are as follows:
- Yellow – us – [RoD] Gamblercheto + Tweet0rs, [OBV]Tomek, me and some other accounts that I don't know
- Purple – [DNa] DonneR2K + LordPaykoman + Redshock + RedStorms + Michaelsson and some others from DNa, [IlI] Wold Phoenic
- Red – [BUL] Ilian9, [PLQ] wyciorek, [FuK] Anithas and others.
This is where the first problem begins – the entire purple team is one alliance, and we are a bunch of random players. It may be difficult.
Let's begin:
As agreed, I take the main castle, which blocks my main army for the rest of the game. But at least we'll get the points we need to win. The rest slowly capture the camps. My first attack goes – nothing. My friends said that the first attack often fails, but no one knows why. The rest of the team is busy capturing camps. The second attack goes – again, nothing. I think to myself that either something is wrong or season five is still a mystery to me. At the same time, the reds take over the NPC castle on their side.
More buildings open up and the team captures them one by one, trying to capture the enemy's buildings, which is a typical battle for buildings. At this time, I'm trying to understand why I can't capture the NPC castle. More attacks follow and nothing happens.

So far, we are in the lead, and I quickly build Camps to the max, which was our plan from the beginning, but there is still a problem with the NPC castle.
Looking closely, I see that the NPCs are supporting their castle with spearmen – and this is probably the problem, because as a Cavalry, I can't break through, even though I have a pretty good account. Minutes pass, and nothing changes on my side. My army is blocked, and I feel totally helpless. I try to help my teammates as much as I can and interfere with my opponents.

Everyone is closing in on us with points, and we're stuck at zero. The Reds have already captured the second castle from the NPC, and the points are rolling in for them; they hardly have to do anything. All they need to do is expand their camps, and it's game over.
The battle for the center.
This is where our problems begin. The Reds are already scoring points passively, the Purples have a lot of buildings and are fighting us for Dragonpit. The outcome is not yet decided, and thanks to RoD, City of Glory should be ours, and with it, the victory.
And here comes a complete surprise. While the reds were definitely weaker, thanks to additional buildings, they started to beat us, and although we managed to hold for a second City of Glory, we lost it quickly because our support was poor and too late.

Gamblercheto quickly makes a second attempt, but again, too little support thwarts our plans.
As a result, the purple team took over the main castle and took the lead.

The end:
Then it only got worse. My situation didn't change. I still hadn't made any progress in capturing the NPC castle, and due to the army blockade, I wasn't able to capture any buildings. The others tried hard, and even though we had significantly more regular buildings, it didn't do us any good. This season, regular buildings are not that important.

Subsequent attempts to capture the main castle failed, although we came close several times. We lost the dragon pits and there was nothing left to play for. The team gave up.
Summary:
The game promised to be really interesting. Several good players, prepared tactics, everything looked really good.
Unfortunately, it didn't help. Problems with capturing the castle and ultimately defeat sealed our loss. I don't know why we failed.
Even if we had captured City of Glory for a few minutes, I don't know if we would have won. There was a chance.
Both opportunities to win proved too unavailable this time. If at least one of them had materialized, maybe, just maybe, we would have been in first place, but as it is, unfortunately, we are only third.
