Dawn of a New Season - Arena of Honor Season 5 Round 1

While the Christmas and New Year festivities are ending in Westeros, the warriors across the continent are starting to sharpen their blades and prepare for the upcoming Arena of Honor Season 5. With just 10 days left before the start of the season, [N0X] Shado started preparing as good as he possible to try and turn around the bad luck he had on the Season 4. In the meantime, he got some bad news too, the team he participated with in the last 5 rounds of season 4 had disbanded and now he was homeless once again. As the fights on mercenary camps play a bit different than when having a team, he had to adapt his strategy a bit but then with just 2 days left before the first round of the season he got invited to a new formed team that had most of the members of his old team joined by [BDR]MAKIMA and [BDR]Grombold.

As it was already Sunday evening, Shado took his commanders, troops and dragons and rushed towards the Arena of Honor battlefield and once he arrived there he met with his team and together they signed up for the round and then they waited patiently for the matchmaking to be completed by the Old Gods.

Once the matchmaking got completed the battlefield doors opened and everyone stepped inside to see for which house they'll fight this round. Seeing the team strength, Daenerys Targaryen herself decided to step up and choose them for the upcoming fight and after the other houses chosen their teams everyone headed to their Clan Castle with the team marching thru the southern desert towards the south-west forests of the battlefield. Once they arrived there, they started deploying their camps around the clan castle and last minute preparations started while Shado decided once again to quickly inspect the battlefield and see what the Lannister's and Starks are up to.

Despite expecting some bad news from the scouts, they didn't expect them to be that bad, they were set to face what it was looking like 2 insanely strong teams, including the strongest [NBe] team fighting for Starks.

Seeing the opponents a few quick strategy adaptations had to be made, but not much could be done in the very few minutes left before the fight start so they had to go with the flow. The horn sounding the start of the battle sounded and the strongholds dropped the protection bubbles, so everyone rushed to occupy and reinforce them as today, more than ever, every point it's going to count.

Once the strongholds got fully occupied it was time for the constructors to step in and start building them and TyrionLanstr as the team commander decided to go with military camps this round as it worked for them in the last rounds of season 4 so it should work now too. The decision worked as everyone expected and in a matter of minutes the team managed to occupy the Tyrell's clan castle too and start building their strongholds as well. Despite being split all over the strongholds, the team was doing an excelent job and just before the altars started opening, everything was already constructed and points started rolling in. Knowing the battle for altars is going to be very hard especially against the [NBe] team Shado decided to mostly reinforce his team-mates on altars when he was asked to but still kept an eye open and sent scouts on the other altars to see if there's anyone that he can solo.

Unfortunately for him, most of his solo's ended up with crushing defeats as the opponents were way stronger and had better commanders and stats but on the other hand his reinforcements helped a lot and the team managed to secure quite a few altars before the opening of City of Glory.

Once the city opened everyone knew it's their only chance to win and right from the start a few not so friendly solos were exchanged between the strongest members of each team. Somehow Starks decided to put MUSAdra999 in charge of guarding the City of Glory instead of TheOnlyKing as everyone expected. MAKIMA, Arthurion and TyrionLanstr seen this as an oportunity to fight back against what's one of the strongest Arena of Honor teams.

The rallies got quickly organized and filled and together with the Lannister's rallies led by Der Paul and CNBOSS headed towards the City of Glory to exchange a few "words" with MUSAdra.

As words ain't made for Arena of Honor, it quickly went to fighting and a battle of epic proportions between the 2 sides started, millions over millions of troops clashing with each other, swords clashing, spears being thrown and cavalry charging to break the defensive lines. Despite MUSA's strength, MAKIMA, Arthurion and Tyrion weren't the leaders you want to mess with, and they were doing very high damage to the troops defending.

After a very narrow loss of MAKIMA's rally, Arthurion managed to do a huge hit to the defending army and kicked 7 out of 10 reinforcements there. Everyone thought, oh so even the giant's bleed. Good. As soon as the rallies got home everyone healed the troops and within minutes the rallies were marching towards the city once again. Minutes after minutes, the rallies clashed with the defending troops, the snow in the vale turned red from the spilled blood and none of the sides wanted to give up on the City of Glory. With just a few minutes left from the fight, the Starks strength managed to overcome the Targaryen's and Lannister's dedication, and they sealed the deal on the City of Glory.

Despite getting the 2nd place, it was an excelent fight for the team against one of the strongest teams in Westeros. They managed to get the maximum points rewards too and quite some fame points that will surely help them climb the rankings. Shado took the rewards and marched happily back to the [N0X] castle to already start preparing for the next round. See you all on the battlefield!
