💎 We happily live together with those fancy collections, until... 💎

📕Story Background
During the discussion of a crime, Sergeant Fitt reported to the prosecutor:
“A coin collector named David came to the police station saying one of his most valuable ancient coins had been stolen. He had spent years searching for it and finally acquired it just a few days ago. David lives with his older brother and younger brother — both collectors themselves. The older brother Damian collects stamps; the younger brother Donte collects rare books. All their prized collections are kept in glass display cases and cabinets in the main hall. The keys to these are stored in a desk drawer, and the only key to that drawer is kept in a vase on the fireplace mantel.
Yesterday, David hosted another coin collector, Zenick, who admired the rare coin immensely and even tried to buy it, but David refused. This morning, Zenick called again, but David still said no. The moment he put down the phone, he went to admire the coin — and discovered it was gone. The glass cabinet lock was intact, which means someone used a key. There were no fingerprints anywhere — not on the furniture, not on the doorknobs, not even on the vase. David’s older brother swears he knows nothing. His younger brother had gone out on business this morning, and when he left, the coin was still in the cabinet.”
The prosecutor thought for a moment and said:
“I know exactly which one of these three suspects took the coin.”
Do you know who stole the coin? Why prosecutor came up with that conclusion and how?
(This story is absolutely fictional. Any inconsistencies with common sense work for the plot)
🔍Known Clues

Correct Answer: Inside one of ice filled glasses
Poirot deduced that the gem had been dropped into one of the glasses while the butler was mixing drinks. The ice temporarily hid it. Since ice is transparent and reflective, a small gem could go unnoticed—especially when surrounded by clinking cubes in a dimly lit room. As the ice melted, the gem would become more visible.
