The first round of the third season of Arena of Honor was underway. This event is renowned for its technical complexity and high level of competitiveness. Six factions face off in a strategic battle, each composed of a minimum of seven players and a maximum of ten. The primary goal is to capture and hold various locations on the map. These locations grant points for every minute they remain under control, strategic advantages, and additional bonuses. At the end of the event, the faction with the most points is declared the winner and receives the best rewards.

In this round, Killer Marta didn’t have her team. The group she had played with in previous seasons disbanded after a vacation, with each member going their separate ways. With limited options, Marta decided to join a team where she knew a couple of players. This team included Wal, Blackened707, Lady Lights, PEACEFIGHTER, Surais, WarWaldek, SULTANN, Darekk, Judith of 7s, and Killer Marta.

From the start, Killer Marta tried to integrate into the group and understand their plans. She wanted to know what kind of troops to prepare and what the general strategy would be. However, she quickly realized there was little communication among the members. This concerned her, but it was too late to switch teams. All she could do was wait for the event to begin and adapt on the fly.

When the timer hit zero, the factions raced to capture the initial locations. These were relatively easy to secure, as they were only defended by low-offensive troops. Once secured, teams began establishing trade posts, crucial for accumulating passive points throughout the event.

Shortly after, the advanced outposts opened. Killer Marta noticed her team was behind—they hadn’t finished upgrading their trade posts, and they were losing valuable time. Despite the delay, they managed to claim the advanced outposts. At this point, the team captain ordered the construction of cavalry offensive posts. The objective was clear: to capture watchtowers and catapults, which provided significant battlefield advantages.

However, this strategy worried Killer Marta. Based on her experience, she knew offensive posts required a highly coordinated and skilled team. If opponents countered the chosen troops, the team would be at a disadvantage. Additionally, quickly adapting and creating new troops was essential, and so far, the team lacked both abilities.

When the watchtowers finally activated, Killer Marta’s team managed to capture several within their territory and even seize some from opponents. The fights over these locations grew more intense as time went on. Attacks were constant, and the tension rose. However, despite their efforts, the team remained in second-to-last place. This was largely due to their failure to establish trade posts on the front lines, which left them generating fewer points. The gap with the leading factions widened.

The offensive strategy also turned out to be a disaster. When the watchtowers activated, the Baratheo House faction quickly conquered them. Frustrated, Killer Marta pointed out in the team chat that the strategy had failed. The captain asked her why she thought so, but at that moment, she couldn’t explain in detail. The reason was simple: if a team builds offensive cavalry posts and the opponent responds with spear troops, the spears counter the cavalry and secure the towers. An experienced team would destroy the offensive posts and rebuild them with infantry troops to counter the spears. However, this quick-reacting capability was sorely lacking.

The event continued, and the City of Glory finally opened. Killer Marta managed to enter and secure a spot in this key location. Her opponents weren’t particularly strong, and her spear troop stats allowed her to hold off attacks initially. However, when she called for reinforcements, she barely managed to gather 2.8 million troops, many of them tier 3. With such an army, it was impossible to withstand enemy assaults, and after three attacks, she was driven out of the location.

Seeing the event turn into a disaster, Killer Marta made a drastic decision: she destroyed the offensive posts and built trade posts instead. Her goal was no longer to win but to avoid finishing last. Yet again, she faced a lack of support from her team. No one sent troops to speed up the construction of these posts, which slowed the process.

Gradually, the event drew to a close. Killer Marta’s team stayed in fifth place, far from reaching fourth but also safe from falling to last. With seven minutes left, there was nothing more to do; the outcome was decided.

When the match ended, Killer Marta reflected on what had happened. She concluded that for the next round, she needed to find a team with more experience or ensure that the players thoroughly understood how this complex event worked. Arena of Honor isn’t just a game of brute forcé it’s one of strategy and cooperation.
