Hello, everyone! Mael from Server 243 here. With the start of 2025, Patch 2.7.7 brings a series of improvements and refinements to Infinity Kingdom, focusing on enhancing gameplay efficiency and streamlining existing features. While there aren’t entirely new mechanics, the patch delivers meaningful updates that will make your daily interactions, battles, and strategic planning smoother and more rewarding.

In this article, I’ll walk you through the details of these optimizations, analyze their impact, and share how you can leverage them for maximum benefit. Whether you’re managing troops, collecting resources, or competing in tournaments, these changes are designed to support your goals. Let’s dive into the specifics!

Table of Contents

  • World Map and Squad Tournament Marker Optimization
  • New Features: Item Pinning and Resource Search
  • Artifact Pack Schedule Adjustments
  • Illusion Battlefield Squad Tournament Updates
  • Tower of Knowledge Skill Update
  • Final Thoughts and Recommendations

1. World Map and Squad Tournament Marker Optimization

Details:

To make it easier for players to differentiate between friends and foes on the World Map, new color-coded markers have been introduced:

  • Green: Represents your own alliance.
  • Red: Indicates hostile alliances.
  • Yellow: Identifies friendly alliances and federations.

These markers are automatically enabled after the update, but for players who prefer the classic look, the option to revert to the old markers is available under Avatar > Settings > Map Markers.

My Thoughts:

This update is particularly useful for players engaged in large-scale battles or rallies, where quick identification of allies and enemies can significantly impact the outcome. The clarity offered by these new markers ensures smoother coordination, whether you’re defending a city or planning a large-scale offensive. Including an option to switch back to the old system shows the developers' commitment to player preference, making this a well-rounded improvement.

2. New Features: Item Pinning and Resource Search

Details:

The introduction of item pinning allows players to mark up to 25 items in their Backpack for quick access. While this feature excludes equipment, it is particularly useful for organizing consumables and rare resources. Additionally, the "Search Ungathered Targets Only" option on the World Map now lets players find resources that are not already being collected - especially useful in Frostborne.

My Thoughts:

Both of these additions are excellent for players who value efficiency and organization. Item pinning, although capped at 25 items per category, can help prioritize key resources like speed-ups, potions, and crafting materials, making them instantly accessible during intense moments. The new resource search option, on the other hand, is a game-changer for gatherers and will significantly reduce the time spent searching for available nodes, especially during high-demand periods like Frostborne.

3. Artifact Pack Schedule Adjustments

Details:

  • The availability of artifact schematics has been adjusted based on server age:
  • Epic Artifacts: Available from Day 24 to 39 after the server launches.
  • Unique Artifacts: Start appearing on Day 40 and follow a recurring cycle thereafter.

My Thoughts:

This adjustment introduces a more predictable artifact release schedule, allowing newer servers to plan their investments with greater confidence. For players joining fresh servers, this change eliminates the guesswork of when certain artifacts will become available, promoting fairness and balance.

4. Illusion Battlefield Squad Tournament Updates

Details:

The Illusion Battlefield Squad Tournament has received multiple updates to enhance the experience:

  • Boost Nodes: Now visible on the mini-map, and their effects are shared with the entire squad once explored.
  • Troop Display: The interface now shows current troop numbers and the count of seriously wounded troops.
  • Event Notifications: Automatic reminders are sent for team formation, registration, and entering the battlefield.
  • Elimination Info: Details about eliminations are now displayed during matches.
  • Quick-Access Buttons: New options like "Auto Garrison," "Refill," and "Change Formation" have been added for faster troop management.
  • Point Rule Adjustments: Battle points earned during matches are now doubled, and survival points have been significantly boosted.

My Thoughts:

The new Squad Tournament has been relatively well welcomed from players. This 3 versus 3 survival game play was a very good addition and a fun one to the game. However, it needed to be enhanced, fixed. These updates go in the right drection and bring much-needed convenience and functionality to the gameplay, making it more accessible and competitive. The visibility of Boost Nodes encourages squads to adopt more strategic approaches, while the quick-access buttons streamline troop management, saving valuable time during critical moments. Doubling battle points and increasing survival points is a bold move that rewards both aggressive and defensive playstyles, adding depth to the competition.

5. Tower of Knowledge Skill Update

Details:

The Toxin Barrier skill now unlocks at Level 39 in the Tower of Knowledge, adding a new layer of customization for skill setups.

My Thoughts:

This change brings fresh opportunities for mid-level players to diversify their skill sets. As a reminder, Toxin Barrer is currently available at TOK level 43, and is a pay-to-unlock skill through the Wisdom Well.

6. Final Thoughts and Recommendations

Summary:

Patch 2.7.7 delivers a well-balanced mix of quality-of-life improvements and gameplay enhancements. From better World Map markers to streamlined Squad Tournament features, this update caters to both casual and competitive players.

Recommendations:

  • Use the new map markers to improve coordination during rallies and battles.
  • Take advantage of item pinning to keep your Backpack organized during key events.
  • Plan your artifact acquisitions with the updated timeline to maximize your efficiency.
  • Explore the updated Illusion Battlefield Squad Tournament features to refine your strategies and earn more rewards.
