The sun was about to set behind the green mountains of Westeros. It was the end of a long day. The market was closed, and people had already bought all the food and supplies they need. This was the time when Men would sit in the taverns, drinking beer and talking about the day they had and how excited they were about the big event happening tomorrow. Some would fight, and others would wait nervously, hoping their friends would come back safely from the battle. Everyone was excited but also a little scared. Battles are never fun, but these brave men were ready to fight with their friends. They were ready to give their all, for the glory of their alliance, for the honor and bravery, values they held dear in their hearts.

Champion City Siege is a huge event in this exciting world of GoTWiC. In this event, different kingdoms fight for control of a castle. Each time, it's a different castle, but the goal is always the same: to hold the castle for as long as possible and defend it from the enemy. Working together is very important, or they might lose the castle and the whole game. The battle is intense and lasts only one hour. There's not much time to rest, and no one is guaranteed to win. After the battle, the lord who held the castle the longest wins and becomes the Champion Conqueror. They can then give titles and special rewards to the lords on their team, but only if they helped in the battle.

The air was filled with a nervous energy as I strolled through the bustling camp. Soldiers sharpened their blades, archers nocked arrows, and the blacksmiths hammered out the final touches on their weapons – shining swords, strong shields, and deadly spears. Even though these skilled craftsmen wouldn't be on the front lines, their role was vital. A warrior without a weapon was like a bird without wings, unable to soar. Everyone plays an important part in battle, no role is too small. I didn't need a new sword. The one I'd received as a reward in the last great battle, the CCS, was a masterpiece. It felt like an extension of my arm, perfectly balanced and sharp as a razor. I ran a hand along its polished surface, remembering the thrill of battle, the clash of steel, and the satisfaction of a perfectly executed strike.

Further into the camp, I found Grombold deep in conversation with the other leaders. The war council was plotting their strategy for the upcoming battle. Every fight was unique, a puzzle with so many shifting pieces. They had to consider the strengths and weaknesses of their own forces, the enemy's tactics, and the terrain they would be fighting on. It suddenly became quiet at camp as the sun began to dip below the horizon. The air grew heavy with anticipation, a mix of excitement and dread. This was no ordinary collision; it was a test of courage, a clash that would determine the fate of their kingdom. I felt anxious in my stomach, but I pushed it aside. I had faith in Grombold and our leadership; they were brilliant strategists, and their plans had always looked after our best interest, sometimes it works and sometimes it fails, but either way, we as a team had faith in them.

Grombold raised his voice, his strong voice, cutting through the crowd's chatter. The soldiers, drawn by his command, gathered around him, their faces a mixture of determination and fear. Before every battle, Grombold would deliver a speech, a reminder of our duty, our courage, and the glory that awaited us in victory or at least on trying for one. It was a ritual, a way to steel our resolve and ignite the fire of battle within our hearts. I watched, I was fixed on the faces of our warriors, each one a symbol of hope, a testament to the resilience of our kingdom. I felt proud to be a part of this great group of brave warriors.

"We're here at Longreach Castle again, ready to fight some tough enemies. They will try to attack us whenever they can. I know you're all very brave, and I know we can work together as a team. I'm sure we can win today too.We want to win one of the top spots today, so we'll do our best. I'm not sure what place it would be, but this is our goal for this match. Make sure your soldiers are ready and that you've set up your battle plan like I told you before. If you haven't done that yet, there's still time, so go do it now. Everyone else, get ready to help when I take control of the Fortress. Let's go get them!"

At last…. It was time for battle!!

The battle began! Soldiers from every team rushed towards the Castle. It was Imperial Rock who took control of it. Imp (as we call him) is a very strong fighter, with the best gear and best commanders. He wasn't in HOH with us, so we joined forces with his alliance for this CCS. Agreements like this are always made in our world, and especially in CCS. We have a common goal and it was much smarter to join forces. Now, our team had only 30 seconds to send more soldiers to help him before our enemies could attack. Just to make you understand the rush ,In other games, we have more time to send help – about 3 minutes. This gives us less stress. But in this CCS, we needed to be much faster. So, everyone used their pre-made plans, and a lot of soldiers quickly rushed into the Castle.

It was very noisy with all the soldiers running around. Now, we had to defend the Castle from enemy attacks. It would be a tough fight, and the enemies would try their best to defeat us. They want the glory of being the champions. The attacks started coming our way, and more and more lines of enemies started showing up, from BDR( aka: BAN), strong rally leaders like Love Angel, Tanalyn, and Thol King from BDR(BAN), were determined to take control of the castle. We were also set for a fight and we weren't going to make it easy on them, if they want it, they will have to bleed for it. and blood was shed, troops got injured from both sides, soldiers were sent to the infirmary to get healed and some weren't so lucky and they lost their lives in this battle. After this fight is over, we will pay our respects to their sacrifice. Imp was holding on well, we kept sending troops to him and time was passing by and he was gaining more and more moments. That didn't sit well with our enemies, they sent more and more attacks and we heard rumors that there were a lot of frustrations at their camp. They were trying to remove Imp and they weren't being successful and that made them angry. Will that work in our benefit or theirs? Will that motivate them to try harder or will that make them give up or maybe they won't try so hard moving forward?

This battle was intense, and I found myself a bit overwhelmed, but I trusted our leaders and followed their lead as did the rest of my teammates. It was almost time to do a swap, Imp had enough time to claim the 1st place and he was in need of a break. Ganicus, our teammate for today was next to capture it, I saw him getting ready and he was anxious to launch his march into the castle. Ganicus is a strong Infantry fighter and he has an impressive line of commanders like the Night kind and Vorian, who can inflict a bleed every 5 seconds. Imp disbanded the castle and marched happy (and tired) back to camp. A few seconds after that Ganicus raced in and captured it, it was his time now and he was ready for it.

As soon he was in, we rushed our troops in, we only had 30 seconds before the protection bubble dropped and enemies would come. Sure enough, they did come, mostly from BDR, they were the largest camp on the battlefield, and from all across their camp, lines of marches were seen marching toward us. They were fierce and strong, with their mighty dragons and the best weapons they had. They marched with the confidence they could achieve their goal of taking the castle from Ganicus, but will that be the case? Can they do that or will Ganicus stand firm, just as Imp did before him? Well, I can tell you they did try, and they did some damage to us, but not enough to remove Ganicus from the castle. It was a combination of determination from our side and fast reinforcements, we needed to be fast or we would have lost the castle.

Ganicus did an amazing job of keeping the castle, but like in all battles, he didn't do it alone. We worked together as a team and we had his back, we made sure he was never short of troops and the castle was almost always full (or close to it). The plans our leaders made was working well so far, with no glitches, and that made them (and us) very happy. Do you know how the old saying goes? You make plans and up there someone is laughing at you. Well, no one was laughing at us this time, our plan was working and we were hopeful it would keep on working till the end of this match. Now it was time for another swap, Ganicus had enough time in the castle to secure his 2nd spot, it was time for him to go back to base and regroup, and mostly take a good rest.

Who do you think is next to take the castle? Who is the next brave warrior to stand strong, fending off the enemies?

Grombold, my alliance (HOH) leader was the next in line to take the castle, according to the agreement made between our alliance and NoX. Grombold is a very strong Spear warrior, his lord commander is Sararer, with his healing skills and poising fog, which makes him very essential. Grom was ready for the swap and so were we, Ganicus disbanded and Grom rushed in there, Our troops right behind him. The castle was full and we could see the lines starting to march to the castle, our enemies were on their way and we were ready for them. Troops were in place and our shields were up, swords were sharpened and bows were ready, aiming and waiting.

They came, attacked, bruised us, and tried to take what was ours for most of the match. One attack after the other, with their dragons and their swords, fire was coming out of the dragons, trying to burn anything in its path and the loud sound of swords clashing was damn near deafening. There were a few moments where I really thought that they were going to kick us out, troops were low and more attacks were on the way " Speed up the troops please, hurry!" Grom shouted as the enemy rallies were approaching. His face looked a bit worried, as if they were thinking "Am I going to lose the castle? Will I disappoint my allies? Will I get the 3rd spot?

His worries turned out to be false, the attacks hit and did some damage, but not enough to defeat Grom. We rushed to reinforce and ensure we had enough troops so attacks would have a hard time taking it from us. We came ready and we were not going to go down easy. We had our goals for today, our enemies found a determined foe tonight, a one that doesn't give up no matter what. I think it took them by surprise, they didn't expect us to fight this hard, it made them change their tactics, but it still didn't work for them. We were controlling the castle with our people and they couldn't defeat us, no matter what they tried. And as you can tell, they did try, we had to fend off many attacks, some did small damage and some did a larger damage. But all in all, We handled it very well, we were organized and the plans made by our leaders worked as they planned it.

The match ended with a great victory for us; our plan worked perfectly. The top three spots went to our people: Imp was 1st, Ganicus was 2nd, and Grom was 3rd. This was the agreement Grom made with Imp's alliance before the match. This agreement ensured both sides gained something, and all were happy with the outcome. Agreements like the one we made are a common practice in our world, and it has been done many times in CCS and other events. When we marched back to our base we heard chatter about the vibes back at the enemy camp, there was big frustration and we heard that there was a lot of anger. Well, I can understand that, they are used to winning big events and losing is not part of their world. We are all competitive but some are more than others.

Which enemy will we face next time the siege will commence? What castle will we fight for? Will there be an agreement made and who will benefit from it? Hmm…. Guess we have to wait for the next CCS.
