Arena of Honor - Season 2 Round 15 - The Last Stand

Now that Christmas is over and every warrior in Westeros ate the good food and had good drinks along with their families and friends the clock is ticking with only a few days remaining till the last round of Arena of Honor. While many warriors secured their final ranks in the season, and they would probably play mostly for fun, for some of the Westeros's warriors including [N0X]LadyKnight the season wasn't yet over, as while she didn't had chances to reach the max rank, Glory King, she only needed 10 glory points to reach the 2nd best, King. The rewards between her current rank, Lord, and the King rank would improve her wealth and fame across Westeros quite a lot so she was trying to prepare as good as she could for this last round.

In an attempt to have an easier time and secure at least the 3rd place at the end of the match, she sent letters to different teams, trying to get recruited and for 2 days all the letters she got where either declines or no letter at all. On the evening before the match, when all the hopes were almost gone, she got a last-minute letter from a team that had an opening spot for the 6 a.m. and damn, what a team that was, one of the strongest teams across Arena of Honor, led by [WxC]Tominy, and containing very strong warriors like [N0X]ImperialRock, [WxC]NIGHTKING, [WxC]GA1A, [HD!]Lord Orval, [DUM]light Yagami, [DUM]BA NANA, [WxC]RElax and [WxC]kikina. LadyKnight instantly accepted the invitation and was both eager and stressed to play along such strong warriors, knowing that the enemies might be just as strong if not stronger.

On the next morning, she woke up early and prepared her troops and dragons as good as she could and marched towards the Arena of Honor battlefield. She met with the other team members, and they all signed the team registration form and after the short matchmaking time, everyone entered the battlefield. For this fight, the team headed to North-West forests of the battlefield and was assigned to House Greyjoy and first thought that LadyKnight has was: "i hope we won't end up like Theon." Then she went ahead and performed a quick inspection on the teams, and there were some very strong teams for all houses but specially 2 of them stood out, a [FFS] team led by Savada45 fighting for House Baratheon and for House Lannister, Cersei couldn't just let House Greyjoy have a easier time so she invited one of the strongest [BaN] teams if not the strongest to fight for her.

Despite looking like a very though matchup, nobody on House Greyjoy was discouraged as they were very strong as well and decided to get the win. The match started with the usual opening of strongholds, and unlike solo que, this time everyone knew what to do and how to do'it, like with how many troops to reinforce in order to get the buildings fully constructed before the next set of buildings were opening. House Greyjoy decided to go with Cavalry Camps for this match, at least for the time being.

Quickly after that it was time for the second batch of outposts to open, and for LadyKnight, there was something different compared with the prior matches. On this high-stake match only the strongest warriors occupy altars and then they get reinforced, and the altars handling is done by rallies not solos as she was used to. House Greyjoy handled that very well and ImperialRock quickly setup a rally for the House Lannister's altar to try and take 'it and he did so. But House Lannister wouldn't just let that go and God Emperor quickly assembled a counter rally to kick ImperialRock out of their altar.

God Emperor couldn't kick ImperialRock out of the altar and the altar went into House Greyjoy's possession. The fight was going great for the House Greyjoy, they were doing an amazing job taking altars everywhere on the map and even managed to occupy 2 watch towers so their lead in points got bigger. Time was flying by and it was now time for the long-expected City of Glory opening. On this match and generally every match occupying City of Glory is a must if you want to win, and the YOLO team LadyKnight was part of today surely wanted to win. Quick solo from ImperialRock on the City of Glory and the occupation timer started, everyone in the team sent reinforcements along with their strongest dragons to hold against the assault made by other houses. House Greyjoy was in a bit of disadvantage as all the catapults were on the other houses possession, so they were losing troops even when not rallied. House Lannister sent 3 rallies at once trying to flip the City of Glory, made by Patton, The Mad King and God Emperor. Out of them, God Emperor was the scariest as he mains cavalry and have a top synergy among his commanders.

After 4 minutes of intense fighting mainly between House Greyjoy and House Lannister, House Greyjoy managed to get the City of Glory under their control and the fight was going in House Greyjoy's favor. While the City of Glory had a protection bubble, a call was made to swap strongholds from cavalry camps to spearman camps to try and take catapults from House Lannister and while being busy with that all the House Greyjoy's warriors, probably from being tired, did a mistake, they didn't pay attention on City of Glory bubble dropping and didn't reinforce the city back in time. Of course, the House Lannister took advantage of this slight negligence and God Emperor occupied the City of Glory with cavalry. House Greyjoy wouldn't just let this go and they quickly set up 4 rallies to retake the City of Glory.

The attempt was not successful, and it caused a spire effect as while being busy with filling the rallies, House Greyjoy's warriors didn't have the troops to reinforce Strongholds to level them back up and that meant they couldn't get the catapults from House Lannister. However, House Greyjoy didn't give up to the city of glory and they tried to retake 'it for the rest of the match but sadly the attempt was unsuccessful, and House Greyjoy had to admit defeat in this fight. For LadyKnight that meant she didn't get to achieve her goal of getting to King rank sadly, but she had a very enjoyable fight, packed with action and got a lot of experience from fighting in such a big battle. If opportunity will present itself again in the future, she'll surely be more prepared for this kind of fights. This concludes the Season 2 of Arena of Honor and hopefully a Season 3 is on the horizon. See you all on the battlefield!
