Arena of Honor | Season 2 Round 13 | House of GreyJoy

Dear all,

today I will take you back to the very last and one of the most thrilling Arena of Honor (AoH) matches of the season that took place last Sunday. Out team, led by Lord Lesa was in full form. As last week, most of the team members were from SFU alliance accompanied by VladTheGreat from MBL and DxD Freyja. This team has fought together in previous matches and seasons so we exactly knew what strategy we can rely on. The whole team was made of different types of the troops: VladanSRB, Freyja and Lord Lesa -Cav; VladTheGreat, Lady Anibas, milleee, Borke – Spear; Dimsa and LuxCrownguad – bow and Lillith with all four types of the army and was assigned to the House of GreyJoy. As mainly bow player LuxCrownguard has entered the battle with some changes 1 million bow troops, 1 million cavalry and 500 000 spear troops for the reinforcements. As the season was coming to the end, it was clear that we all want victory and reaching the highest title of "The Glory King". Even more importantly, our goal has always been to better up our game and be able to win the matches regardless of the few rotating players that change from match to match.

Once SFu team (named ABCD) entered the match, it was clear that the neighboring houses will not represent huge problem, however House of Lannister has very strong players from NBe, RRH and other Top 15 alliances.

Let the games begin! Right after the clock started ticking House of GreyJoy occupied the strongholds turning them into the infantry buff camps just like the previous week. Looking around, all other teams were mixing the buffs so for the second row of the strongholds, House of GreyJoy has opted of cavalry buff. Only two houses have built the trading camps and were gaining the points much faster than the rest… however, House of GreyJoy stayed with the original decision to keep the buffs for the troops. The altars have opened slowly and by far every team was occupying their own buildings making the start of the match quite slow. As more and more altars have opened, House of GreyJoy has started attacking the altars of House of Stark which decreased the point gap. Thus far, having taken few altars by herself, LuxCrownguad together with the rest of the House of GreyJoy was patiently waiting for the rest of the buildings to open.

The next building in line was the Dragon pit which was easily taken by VladanSRB. Catapults surrounding the City of Glory have also opened and once again House of GreyJoy managed to take all 3. This has lead to House of GreyJoy jumping from 5^th to 1^st place, however with minimal point difference compared to the 2^nd place that belonged to the House of Lannister. Everyone was eagerly waiting for the City of Glory to open.

Finally the most important moment of the match has come. The City of Glory was open for the taking. Hunger games were about to start. The first ones to take the City of Glory were House of Tyrell, however thanks to their valiant forces, RRH Lord Orval from House of Lannister has easily taken the City of Glory from the House of Tyrell. Since Lord Orval is an infantry player, VladanSRB has no problem in defeating him and taking the City of Glory for House of GreyJoy. The City of Glory was hit from all sides and all houses, but it still remained in the control of House of GreyJoy that sent all the possible reinforcements to Vladan. At that moment LuxCrownguad was happy to have 1 million cav troops which allowed her to send the maximum number of the reinforcements. Finally, a spear player CTW POKSUM, House of Lannister, managed to beat VladanSRB and take the control over City of Glory. 

At that moment, House of GreyJoy knew that this won’t be a relaxing and easy match. Soon after, many rallies led by VladanSRB, Lady Anibas and Dimsa have hit the City of Glory, however without the success. Since House of GreyJoy did not have an infantry player in the team, defeating the strong spear player become a huge challenge. The time was ticking and at any moment City of Glory was about to get the “protection status” and bring House of Lannister secured victory. However, at the very last moment, GuR Goldmedal, bow main, from House of Tyrell has successfully kicked House of Lannister from the City of Glory, not allowing them to gain huge point gap compared to the rest and making the match even more thrilling.

Since the bow troops have the strongest defence, which in this case were led by female synergy, House of Tyrell has managed to keep the City of Glory even after few rallies. However, Lord Orval, being an infantry player has launched the rally on City of Glory, re-taking it for the House of Lannister. This is exactly what House of GreyJoy was waiting for! But it was not so easy as the difficulties started to appear… The clock was once again almost about to expire, giving the House of Lannister the protection status over the city of Glory and secured win. VladanSRB has initiated the rally.. but he had hard time to fill it due to the fact that other team members, including LuxCrownguad, have sent their cav troops either to Mine Shafts, Sept of Seven or simply in the main House of GreyJoy. Once House of GreyJoy realised what was going on, everyone pulled their cav troops back, using the speedup of 75% in order to fill Vladan’s rally… but the clock of City of Glory has shown less than a whole minute. House of GreyJoy was in complete panic mode, thinking everything was lost for the match… But at that moment, Lord Lesa and LuxCrownguad came with over 10 rally speedups that allowed VladanSRB to hit the City of Glory just on time and re-take the lead. Without any issues, VladanSRB rally defeated Lord Orval once again. House of GreyJoy once again managed to keep the 1^st spot.

The joy of the House of GreyJoy didn’t last for long as, House of Tyrell launched multiple rallies at the same time. The rallies were combines and yet again GuR goldmedal was in charge of City of Glory. In the next few minutes House of GreyJoy, House of Lannister and House of Tyrell were repeatedly attacking and defeating each other, making it impossible for a single house to achieve the “protection status” over the City of Glory. House of GreyJoy has suffered a great losses and used so many heals already but was not ready to give up just yet. LuxCrownguad has already used over 100 days of heals just for the cav troops.

House of GreyJoy came up with the brilliant plan.. House of Tyrell and House of Lannister would fight each other multiple times, forcing both sides to spend many heals and to have less troops, and finally when the clock would show that there are only 5 minutes before the match ends, VladanSrB would launch a rally and yet again attack Lord Orval and re-take the city of Glory for the House of GreyJoy, keeping 1^st spot secured.

The clock was ticking down and when the moment came, VladanSRB launched the rally, in which LuxCrownguad has sent maximum number of the trrops, to the City of Glory, easily beating another infantry player NBe CHARNEL retaking the City of Glory. However this time, House of GreyJoy members have sent mixed reinforcements of all troop types into the city of Glory making it very hard for the opponents to break the defences. LuxCrownguad has send all the bow troops since majority of her cav and spear troops were at the hospital. And FINALLY, the most awaited moment for House of GreyJoy has come… The City of Glory has gained “protection status” under the House of GreyJoy, with only 1 minute left until the end of the match. 

The final ranking list was revealed and House of GreyJoy yet again, for the 3^rd week in a row, managed to win the match with almost 150k points, 2^nd place for House of Lannister with 64k points and 3^rd place for House of Stark with 54k points. Surprisingly, House of Tyrell finished at the very last place since they have used all of their forces fighting for the city of glory, not paying attention to the other castles that were taken away from them. 

The highest elimination points rankings belonged to VladanSRB and Hempzx, our teammate from previous match who played this round for House of Lannister.

As for the LuxCrownguad, she was placed 6th in the Elimination Points list of the House of GreyJoy and 29th overall making an improvement from the last week which made her very happy with her progress and excited for the next match. She was still debating if she should increase the number of cav troops for the next match,

Overall, our team, along with few guest players, engaged in a dynamic and intense match that concluded with a victory. As the Arena of Honor season draws to a close, the entire team is eagerly anticipating the upcoming match this Sunday, hoping to face another formidable opponent for another exciting challenge. As a very well coordinated team we are looking forward to every new match in hope for tougher opponents and even more suspenseful matches.
