It's time for Match 2 in the Siege of Winterfell. This time, the valiant forces of Nocturnal (N0X) met TheNightWalkers (NW1), an alliance stronger and bigger than them, as their next opponent on their journey to be placed among the top 12 alliances and make it to this season's playoffs.

The first match for allied forces was a landslide victory against Mirabilia (MBL), with the end scoreboard being 97,890 vs. 6,240 in favor of N0X. The match against NW1 is a great opportunity for N0X to test their strength against a very strong side.

Our forces, still happy with the victory in the first match, are hoping for an even battle against the much stronger NW1. Our Match 1 MVP, IMPERIALROCK, decided to join us for the second match, boosting our slim but existing chances of fighting against TheNightWalkers.

As the battle neared, our members were making final preparations to enter the battlefield, with many asking for the Master of Ships title in hopes of out-running enemy forces, and others asking for the Lord Commander buff in hopes of overpowering their opponents.

My strongest units are infantry; therefore, I deployed all of my containing infantry units. My lord's march was Daeron, whose active ability increases normal attack damage and benefits from blocking enemy attacks, paired with Jon Snow and Sinara, who both benefit from normal attacks and bolster counter damage. My secondary march was commanded by Daenerys and focused on active skill damage. The third march was commanded by Rhea and focused on normal attacks.

As the battle was on the brink of beginning, we were slightly outnumbered by 5 members. Despite that, it was still an all-time record for deployed forces on the N0X side across all the seasons the alliance has played to this day.

As the battle began, the leader and duke of our forces, Scythe, asked us to stay focused on our target, which is to win the game at any cost.

I was assigned to help our forces fight in the initial battle for Hot Springs, which gives our forces increased hospital healing speed—a much-needed building in such a difficult matchup.

The first to arrive at Hot Springs was Belore II, our valued Knight Commander, who started the countdown to capture the building for ourselves but was soon after met with endless waves of enemies. However, he knew that the rest of our forces would arrive soon thereafter and that fierce fighting would begin.

I arrived spearheading our infantry and spearmen units a couple of seconds into the battle and began fighting as soon as my soldiers set foot on the Hot Springs grounds.

Fearing the worst, my forces arrived at the battle at the same time as our fiercest opponent, ccku. The battle began and continued for many minutes, which felt like millennia.

I sighed in relief when our strongest warrior, IMPERIALROCK, successfully joined the battle, but this was met with an overwhelming feeling of losing Hot Springs due to our opponents having more soldiers arrive in the battle's initial stage; the numbers were in our opponents' favor. Despite my troops being wounded and having to return to Hot Springs from our alliance base, we continued the fight, and eventually, 7 minutes into the match, we were able to successfully capture the much-valued building, relieving our members from paying full price for healing their wounded soldiers.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the map, our group led by Scythe was fighting a battle at the Armory. Our forces fought to the last man standing but were ultimately outnumbered and defeated.

Once we had successfully captured and continued to defend Hot Springs from our foes, I noticed that ccku and HighVoltage had sneakily attacked our Greyjoy Outpost 2, diverting many of our defense units away from Hot Springs.

They were vastly outnumbered and ultimately defeated, but they still bought much-needed time and relief with their efforts to take Hot Springs away from us, which succeeded, and NW1 was now enjoying increased hospital healing speed.

I was shocked and in disbelief that just two members were able to turn the tide of crucial battles. I decided not to join our Hot Springs counter-offensive but instead to attack the opponents' Stark Stronghold 2, which was guarded by former NOXie Billiever and their three armies.

The plan succeeded, troops defending were of spear type and were easily defeated by my armies thanks to the counter damage.

Opponents however noticed my desparate attempt at capturing their stronghold and sent many armies to fight against my own.

I was outnumbered but never stopped believing my soliders and their abilities to hold the enemies for as long as it takes.

My reckless attack on Stronghold failed, but our forces succeeded in retaking Hot Springs, which was soon again in contention against many of NW1's soldiers.

I noticed ccku continuing to attack our Greyjoy Stronghold 2 without success in capturing it but still achieving strategic success by occupying many of our valued soldiers to defeat him.

I decided to continue attacking Stark Stronghold 2 after healing my wounded and battle-devastated troops, with the primary objective of holding as many enemies as I could.

Meanwhile, the rest of our forces, under the banner of IMPERIALROCK, were valiantly fighting NW1 forces led by ccku in a battle for the Winterfell resources, which awards crucial battle points. Our side won, and to my surprise, we were ahead in points!

We knew that intense fighting would continue until the very end of the match, but we remained calm, focused on trying to capture buildings we lost as we diverted our forces for fights over the supply package.

With the next supply package, I continued to probe into enemy territory, drawing the attention of at least 12 enemy armies, which bore the fruit of effort—Winterfell resources were successfully delivered again!

The resources delivered meant that we were far ahead in points, but we were still losing in points per minute due to NW1 holding more buildings on the battlefield. Our attention shifted to fighting for the buildings we lost while delivering the Winterfell resources.

In the meantime, our opponents tried to match our forces on the battlefield, allowing IMPERIALROCK to deliver the next Winterfell resources, bringing our lead to 7,000 points.

Skirmishes and fighting continued for the next 10 minutes. We were able to liberate our strongholds, bringing the number of buildings held to the same count.

The point difference was too high for our opponents to overcome, and the match ended in an N0X victory, with three of our members ranking in the top three in elimination points.

The match was intense and action-packed. I'd like to thank NW1 for their efforts and hope they will continue their efforts to get to the playoffs this season in the Siege of Winterfell.
