More benefits, more surprises
The long-awaited season 14 of Siege of Winterfell has finally come and two powerful alliances, HOH and NBe, were ready to face each other in round 1. They had a long history of rivalry in major events, with HOH winning most of those clashes, but this time things were different. NBe had recently merged with another strong alliance, UTB, bringing in even more powerful players. This made NBe tougher than ever before.
As the match began, HOH had 95 players, and NBe had 96, nearly equal numbers. Both sides gathered their forces and planned their strategies, knowing this battle would be intense. As soon as the gates opened, both alliances rushed to capture two important locations: the Armory and the Hot Springs. The Armory gives a significant boost to total attack and defense stats and the Hot Springs gives a bonus to the healing speed. These places were crucial for the rest of the game, so neither side could afford to lose them.
The first big fight broke out at the Armory. HOH arrived there first and gathered more players than NBe in the end. The battle was long and chaotic, with soldiers from both sides giving it their all, but HOH managed to take control in the end, securing the Armory for their alliance.
While HOH celebrated their victory at the Armory, another huge battle was happening at the Hot Springs. NBe realized that if they couldn’t hold the Armory, they needed the Hot Springs. Controlling the Hot Springs would let them heal their soldiers faster, a huge advantage in a long fight. The battle there was just as intense as at the Armory, but this time, NBe had the advantage in the number of players participating and they pushed through and captured the Hot Springs. Now, each alliance held one of the two key locations, making the game feel evenly matched, but there were more things on the map worth capturing, like 4 bases located around the Winterfell in the middle.
With fights shifting towards the bases, NBe slowly started to take control of the match. They even secured and delivered the first package of resources from Winterfell to one of their bases which gave them a big boost in points, putting them ahead early on. NBe held onto this lead, and although HOH kept fighting hard, NBe managed to keep control of the map.
There was a new feature added in the game, called the “Teleport,” allowing players to instantly move their troops to important locations like their outposts or bases. This was a game-changer because it meant that armies didn’t have to march across the map, saving them precious time. NBe quickly realized how to make the best use of teleporting, catching HOH by surprise multiple times. NBe’s troops could show up suddenly at different outposts or bases, striking quickly and making it hard for HOH to defend. This gave NBe another advantage, as they were able to take more buildings and earn more points through that.
Throughout the match, the alliances went back and forth, with both sides showing their skills and determination. HOH managed to defend well in some areas and even regained control of a few buildings, but NBe’s teleport tactics and ability to quickly reinforce their bases kept them in the lead. Whenever HOH seemed close to catching up, NBe would use teleporting to launch another surprise attack or secure more buildings, pulling further ahead in points.
Delivering packages was also crucial, and NBe managed to deliver more than HOH. These package deliveries added significant points to their score, and each one gave them a bigger advantage. By holding more buildings and securing more packages, NBe gradually widened the gap in points, making HOH unable to catch up.
As the end of the match approached, the score showed NBe clearly in the lead. They had controlled the game through smart tactics, teleporting, and by holding more buildings. The final score was 55k to 34k in NBe’s favor, a clear victory and a significant one. This was the first time in ages that NBe had defeated HOH in a major event, and it was a fully deserved win. Their combination of new players, smart use of teleporting, and efficient teamwork had given them the edge.
For HOH, the loss was disappointing, but they knew they had fought well and could learn from this battle. They had come close in many moments, and the experience would make them stronger. Both alliances knew that this rivalry was far from over. There would be more battles, and HOH would be ready to challenge NBe again. But for now, NBe could celebrate a long-awaited victory, knowing they had proven themselves on one of the biggest stages in the game. Well done NBe!
Thanks for your attention and till the next time! 😀
