More benefits, more surprises
Greetings ladies and gentlemen. In the new round of Arena of Honor, Stanko will fight with his standard team. The last round was very successful and Stanko did not want to change anything, so he will try with the same strategy.
As in the previous round, they had a problem finding the last player for the match. This time they took a player from Stanko's alliance Buhara, who was infantry and whose task will be to send the army in rallies and attack Altars. This will help us a lot, because apart from Git, we didn't have any other infantry.
The players entered the Arena. This time they represented House Tyrell.
Stanko saw his opponents and was worried. The houses were all equally strong and with a lot of famous players. The strongest was represented by house Lannister with players from GCM and Oleg M.
House Stark was composed of players from RRH, so this will be a very difficult task for Stanko and the team.
Before entering the Arena, Stanko's goal was the same as in the previous matches, but now that they saw their opponents, it was important to finish in the top 3 and thus get positive Fame points.
The match started and we all went after the Strongholds in order to capture them as soon as possible and get points. We decided on a mix of spear camps and trading posts since we had a spear player in Clan Castle.
The first Altar was opened. DemonQ rushed to occupy it while the others sent additional troops in case the enemy attacked. Fortunately, we had no problems and managed to occupy the first Altar.
Now the focus was on Maiden who opened. By conquering it, we would get an increase in points, but it will be difficult to conquer opponent's and thus increase the % of points. DemonQ was again in charge of the Altar, and we sent additional spearmen to the castle.
In the meantime, the attack on the Tower began. House Targeryan also moved towards him. We were faster, the only question is whether we will be strong enough to win it. The army that came from Clan, managed to defeat the one in the Tower, thus bringing us another victory and a new 4k points that put us in first place.
So far we had a great start, but we should have continued like this with the other Towers and try to win another 8k points for additional conquests, because none of the opponents have succeeded yet. We were close to winning the first Maiden, when we were attacked by an infantry player. The well-fortified Altar easily managed to defend itself from the opponent and thus increased our advantage even more by conquering Altar.
However, the first problems occur. House Targeryan succeeds in defeating us in the Tower with infantry and thus kicking us out of it. Now we have come to a problem, because the army from Clan Castle will not attack other Towers until it conquers this one, and since there were infantry soldiers in it, it was impossible to conquer it. Stanko already had to change his plan. They had to transfer all spear camps to trading posts in order to continue getting points through them, because they could not use Towers and later Catapults. This would take time until they made them, but they had no choice. They had to be quick. At the same time, we had to take care of our Altars, as well as attack the opponent's.
Stanko noticed that the opponent's Altar put cavalry equipped with the best weapons. He quickly hinted to DemonQ that he would attack and thus win a lot of elimination points, and that he would also try to win another Warrior Altar. He sent his T4 spearmen to almost twice as many t5 cavalry and managed to capture the Altar with little losses.
DemonQ and the others sent additional troops, however, Stanko was quickly defeated by the infantry players and kicked out of the Altar. A big problem for Stanko was the absence of his strongest spearmen, who he did not bring to the Arena, because they were still recovering from the previous round when they had two matches during the day, and T4 had to endure a great effort in attacking and defending castles. Also, Stanko could not attack T5 spearmen, which he otherwise attacked in earlier battles, because they would have caused heavy losses to T4.
Glory is open. DemonQ immediately started his rally, to prevent his opponents from win it. It will be really hard for us to save Glory if we win it, because there were a lot of strong opponents of different types in the Arena. DemonQ hit Glory. However, although numerically stronger, he failed to defeat the opponent who defended himself with 4 commanders but had twice as many t5.
Still under the influence of the fight, Stanko asked Git to start his rally. We managed to collect and send quite quickly so that it would not happen that the opponent manages to save the castle. Git hit an army that was pretty much decimated and that he would have won with a solo attack.
Since we were quite full, we tried to stay in the castle, but Git was kicked out of Glory by the attack from Oleg M. Time went on, and we faltered and fell to 4th place. Focused on attacks on Glory, House Targeryan has taken our Clan.
Although we had a lot of players in the castle, we made a mistake after we changed to trading posts, because then the second player who was cavalry was occupied by Clan, while our soldiers were spearman. Stanko, who was attacking other buildings, was not paying attention to us Clan, nor were the others who were focused on Glory. This put us in last place, from which it will be difficult to rise. Another bad news was the departure of the infantry players that I brought as 10. Seeing the situation, he surrendered before time and thus left the players in the lurch. It was not the time and place to give up, but it seems that most of the players have come to terms with the fact that there is nothing we can do here. House Lannister was able to capture Glory because we didn't have enough troops to send Git and DemonQ to throw the enemy out of the castle.
About 10 minutes left. Stanko did not want to give up. He also managed to capture two Mine Shafts which yield 2k points each. DemonQ and Git also did the same. It was not enough, but they wanted to try and fight until the last second. After the fall of the balloon, we managed to win Clan and thus continue to gain points. After the Shafts, Stanko attacked the Dragonpit held by House Lannister. Hoping that they are focused on defending Glory, they will not fight for the Dragonpit. In such a hurry to try to win as many points as possible in the last minutes, Stanko did not pay attention to the current result or whether he is close to the 5th place. He launched an attack from House Lannister, he managed to see it was a strong t4 infantry. Stanko knew that he would not be able to win this battle even with the strongest army.
However, there are still a few seconds left until the defense. Heavy infantry could not come so quickly. DemonQ wanted to send help to Stanko, but she told him that she would not help him but focus on another building. Stanko was ready to receive a strong blow himself, but luck looked at him and protection was put in place and the opponent could not attack.
We managed to get points towards the end of the match, but it was still not enough. By losing the Clan, we lost a lot of points and we had to make up for it now. The closest that came was Maiden which Stanko attacking it, which was taken from us a long time ago. We entered a race against time, if we take it there will be a few more seconds left until the end of the match, so they immediately sent additional troops to secure Maiden. The well-fortified Maiden should hold out until the end, but the attacks have begun. They were all from House Targeryan, which was fighting to secure 2nd place. It was necessary to send newly recovered troops, because they were too exhausted from the attack.
Stanko held on well, but he was lucky because there weren't the strongest players. And then he saw the result and realized that 5th is far ahead of us and that winning Maiden will not change anything.
This was disappointing for him. He knew that the opponents were strong, but his house was strong enough to be in the top 3. Maybe if we hadn't lost Clan, winning this Maiden would have given us a much better position. It was disappointing for Stanko to watch his team in last place, but the next match they will come back even stronger and try to achieve the long-awaited Glory.
